Those things always worry me when wandering around in broad daylight.  

Yeah, us too.  I called the front desk & reported it & pest control came out & set some traps. Our neighbors are tent campers & I warned them too.

Wow, that's the first coon I have ever seen at the Fort.  I hope they catch and remove him.  The coons are really a nuisance at Fort Desoto near St.Pete and the county officials that run the park do nothing to discourage them.  They even have automatic watering locations around the campground. Probably a good thing otherwise they would be eating the hoses on campers.  They will even go in you car while you are unloading to steel your food.

The raccoons are one of the reasons why we haven't been to Fort Desoto in a long time.

 

I, also, have never seen a raccoon at the Fort.  I always thought they were used to make the hats sold in the trading posts.  Which is fine by me.
