:)     Rick is not a huge camper, and this is the longest time he's spent in the camper (by about double), so one of the first things he said to me when I told him the dates of our trip was "you want

Was that the baked cheese thing at Prime Time?

The crab cake looked yummy.

Okay... finally caught up :)

F&W, y 'all definitely experienced that right!  Looks like you had both some interesting and really great stuff.

I think MGM is a cute park.  Reading your TR, I just realized that I've never been on the GMR.  Thinking back, either we're doing kid's stuff with the kiddos or...if my family is there, I'm with a sleeping baby while they are on the ride.   Funny, I'll have to try it one of these trips :)

Wow, you and Rick tasted such different things at F&W than David and I did.

That's what great about F&W, something for everyone!

Thanks for reading!! Yes, we enjoyed ourselves on F&W, and we had another day of tasting planned later in the trip.  I really enjoy GMR. You really should experience it!

Thank you for all the wonderful photos of halloween.  We have always wanted to check out Swan and Dolphin and will next time on site.

Thanks for reading, and WELCOME and jumping right into the board

Thursday, October 30th!!

Today is light on pictures because other Fiends arrived, and when Fiends arrive, we tend to sit around on are buts and run our mouths!!

Lorna and Rich brought their MH and were assigned to site 1006 really close to us. Bob & Kathy drove down to join them in their motorhome, and TJ and Missy were coming later to tent in behind :)

Unloading carts

IMG_5515.jpg

IMG_5516.jpg

As I said, after that hardly any pictures, but as chance would have it, we had dinner reservations for Port Orleans Riverside, so we all went to dinner for Lorna's Birthday!!

IMG_5517.jpg

IMG_5518.jpg

Lorna is celebrating!

Now we're hanging out waiting on YeeHaa Bob to show

IMG_5527.jpg

IMG_5528.jpg

but.... he wasn't playing that night

IMG_5529.jpg

So we decided to head on back to the Fort for coffee and more mouth running, but did take a gander at the Pumpkin carving decorations

Still loving this trip report! You are very good about getting food pictures! I think I'm usually so hungry that I just dig in - no patience. I've patched up stuff before, just to get a picture. :) We used to head over to Kimonos pretty often (can't remember if that's in Swan or Dolphin). It's been a long time since we've done that, though. The last time we went, it was karaoke night and super loud in there.

Thanks for reading!! Yep, we did pretty good on the food pictures, but then we're not worrying about kids either. I've never been to Kimonos. We may try it some time :)

Love your pics!

One of the things you had in Mexico was the corn cheese cake.... do you remember how it was? We missed it, and it might be the only thing I really wanted to try and didn't.

I loved it!!  Can't wait to try it and more next year :)

And somehow I missed the Fiends! Can't wait to help Lorna celebrate in 2015! Look like a yummy and fun time.

Next year, a little birdy told me Lorna is hosting a huge birthday party at her site, I think it's  a milestone birthday for her!!!

Those are some incredible night time and inside the ride photos.  Wish I could get quality like that with a point and shoot camera!  Love the photo of you and Rick at the fountain in Italy.  I have a favorite photo of Nancy and Justin in that location from 19 years ago!

I was really fortunate to get that camera as a length of service visit from my company. I also had terrible luck with the point and shoot cameras we had. I do like that spot also, it's classic!

The day has come.... Halloween!! Today, we hung around the Fort and had lots of company

Our fearless leader!!

I see Lorna, Red, Kathy, and me

Donnie and his girlfriend dropped by

IMG_5541.jpg

These are some dear friends of mine from my RADP group that have bought a home in Davenport

IMG_5543.jpg

They may be joining Fort Fiends as they are bringing their camper to the Fort in December

IMG_5543.jpg

This is Red's husband

IMG_5544.jpg

It was about time for the golf cart parade, so we all grabbed chairs and moved a few feet to the end of the road

IMG_5565.jpg

IMG_5567.jpg

Great people watching

IMG_5569.jpg

So is it time to start the Anna and Elsa drinking game :)

IMG_5570.jpg

Here we go

IMG_5571.jpg

These are some new style carts WDW staff is getting, Lorna was really interested in them

IMG_5575.jpg

I'll just feature a few of the carts in the parade as I'm running so behind most have seen them

IMG_5585.jpg

This guy must not have a man card

IMG_5603.jpg

An overall shot of the length of the parade

IMG_5610.jpg

I think I read these girls might be Fiends

Well, glancing through our trick or treating photos, we don't have that many, so this update will be short. We were too busy handing out treats! (Both for the kids and adults)

IMG_5724.jpg

Another one of my dear friends my other group dropped by. Loved chatting with them since I wouldn't be able to come for the big annual group meets in December.

IMG_5725.jpg

The first of the trick or treaters

IMG_5728.jpg

IMG_5731.jpg

Buddies

IMG_5732.jpg

Cool cart

IMG_5733.jpg

These guys look like trouble

IMG_5734.jpg

This was a Trick or Treat display down the loop from us

IMG_5735.jpg

The "adult" trick or treat

IMG_5737.jpg

IMG_5738.jpg

Handing out goodies

IMG_5739.jpg

TJ and Missy had arrived to set up, and we loaned them our parking spot

IMG_5742.jpg

IMG_5743.jpg

And that's it for Halloween! We gave out TONS of candy, and I know I had 100 little cups for the adult ToT and ran out. There was a good crowd, but it wasn't what I would call overwhelming or insane, just lots of fun!

Coming up, the day of the Grand Gathering! I'll tell you now, I pulled a Lorna and was LATE!

Wow!  You had a much saner Halloween than we did in 700!

Sorry that 700 was such a zoo

Very cool.  I haven't been on RADP in probably ten years.  I remember joining that group back when we were considering a trip when my daughter was going to be 1!!  That was 15 years ago.

The actual Usenet newsgroup has gone way down, but has revived quite a bit as a group on FB. There is a core group of folks that still stay in touch and host the annual December meet every year.
