October 29 was such a beautiful day! The weather was outstanding. I was so blown away by the awesome weather we had!!! That was the cheese app from 50's Prime Time. It's good! Lots of Pood Forn ahead Once again, another Chamber of Commerce weather day :) We are nearing our first taste of F&W :) Yummm!!! Unfortunately, too much time has passed for me to remember what a lot of these are, but there was really nothing we didn't like I do remember that the shrimp was good, but the noodles were so-so Mmmmm, Peach Snap!!! (My 2nd favorite drink at World Showcase) Rick had to get the Singapore Sling. I don't like it Rick also loves the German sausage and that is picture limit. It was pretty bad We then went to American Adventure Voices of Liberty were not playing that day, but these guys were. They were pretty good Now we're back to our tour of the food booths :) We caught a few minutes of the drummers We did find something we didn't like. This was not very good at all Now on the other hand, yummm!! and more yum Can't pass France without getting one of these It was starting to get crowded As you can see, we were full, and working our way out the the park The view from Bus Stop #1 More deer at the Fort I passed by the pony stables on my scooter Signs of a successful F&W day!! and that's the end of our day!! Looks like you had both some interesting and really great stuff. I think MGM is a cute park. Reading your TR, I just realized that I've never been on the GMR. Thinking back, either we're doing kid's stuff with the kiddos or...if my family is there, I'm with a sleeping baby while they are on the ride. Today is light on pictures because other Fiends arrived, and when Fiends arrive, we tend to sit around on are buts and run our mouths!! Lorna and Rich brought their MH and were assigned to site 1006 really close to us. Bob & Kathy drove down to join them in their motorhome, and TJ and Missy were coming later to tent in behind :) Unloading carts As I said, after that hardly any pictures, but as chance would have it, we had dinner reservations for Port Orleans Riverside, so we all went to dinner for Lorna's Birthday!! Lorna is celebrating! Pood Forn arriving This was good, but on the spicy side Now we're hanging out waiting on YeeHaa Bob to show but.... he wasn't playing that night So we decided to head on back to the Fort for coffee and more mouth running, but did take a gander at the Pumpkin carving decorations and that's it!! Next year, a little birdy told me Lorna is hosting a huge birthday party at her site, I think it's a milestone birthday for her!!! Those are some incredible night time and inside the ride photos. I have a favorite photo of Nancy and Justin in that location from 19 years ago! I was really fortunate to get that camera as a length of service visit from my company. Today, we hung around the Fort and had lots of company Our fearless leader!! I see Lorna, Red, Kathy, and me Donnie and his girlfriend dropped by These are some dear friends of mine from my RADP group that have bought a home in Davenport They may be joining Fort Fiends as they are bringing their camper to the Fort in December This is Red's husband It was about time for the golf cart parade, so we all grabbed chairs and moved a few feet to the end of the road Great people watching So is it time to start the Anna and Elsa drinking game :) Here we go These are some new style carts WDW staff is getting, Lorna was really interested in them I'll just feature a few of the carts in the parade as I'm running so behind most have seen them This guy must not have a man card An overall shot of the length of the parade I think I read these girls might be Fiends Well, that's all I'm posting of the parade, coming up trick or treating! We were too busy handing out treats! (Both for the kids and adults) Another one of my dear friends my other group dropped by. Loved chatting with them since I wouldn't be able to come for the big annual group meets in December. The first of the trick or treaters Buddies Cool cart These guys look like trouble This was a Trick or Treat display down the loop from us The "adult" trick or treat Handing out goodies TJ and Missy had arrived to set up, and we loaned them our parking spot And that's it for Halloween! We gave out TONS of candy, and I know I had 100 little cups for the adult ToT and ran out. There was a good crowd, but it wasn't what I would call overwhelming or insane, just lots of fun! The actual Usenet newsgroup has gone way down, but has revived quite a bit as a group on FB. There is a core group of folks that still stay in touch and host the annual December meet every year.
