Momof6....aka Marty 769 Posted February 23, 2016 Report Share Posted February 23, 2016 Since I started working on touring plans for Sarah and i to go to MK 4/28 before joining the WW, I have seen that BTMRR has been listed as being closed for refurbishment this Spring. For example, here: http://allears.net/pl/refurbishments-and-closings.htm And here: https://www.undercovertourist.com/blog/refurbishments-closings-walt-disney-world-universal-orlando/ But today, i was surfing at easywdw.com and saw this thread: http://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?30951-Big-Thunder-Mountain-Refurb-moved-back They list Voldy as a source that the refurb. is not happening as originally schedule. But when I go to the Disney site and punch in 4/28, it shows BTMRR as available. In contrast, it shows Soarin as closed for refurbishment. The Dibb also shows the refurb date as changed: http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=935197&page=2 If I weren't a hyper planner, this would be no big deal. But i am and my magical 60-day window opens Friday night at midnight. (Picture the panicked emoticon here) Anyone have any info? Or just want to make fun of my spreadsheet obsessed tizzy? Once I am in the park, i only pay attention to what I want to do next and what time my FP+ are. That said, last year, I had a similar schedule and it worked well. I did Facebook check ins at most of the rides and attractions i went to and they usually lined right up with the plan. I'm going to be tagging along with my brother, SIL and 7yo nephew for a week in October. It's their first big WDW trip and they invited me to play tour guide/babysitter. SIL is making all the plans and is generally a world class planner, but she's realizing that WDW is a whole other ball game. FWIW their BTMRR was down for 14 months, but I'm not sure if that included other stuff. Here's a video ride-through from Disneyland.
