On your next trip to the Fort, stop by the Gator Grill in the 3000 loop for some grilled gator tail, gator bbq, gator nuggets for the kiddies, gator bacon for breakfast served with gator eggs, and be sure to take home some gator jerky!

I agree, don't really care for gator meat, but don't wear boots either, instep is too high to get them on.

I found it to have a sweet, sort of fishy taste.  A lot like crawfish but a little sweeter.  The texture was like snake.  I served in Louisiana with a bunch of Cajuns who felt sorry for me because I was unaccompanied and brought me stuff to eat.  I've had gator and snake almost any way you can imagine.
