rm0530 5
I enjoyed reading this. I'm sure it's awesome to travel with an entire group of "Disney people". My family enjoys it but it's not the same!Looking forward to your opinions about HP. I've been a fan since the books started coming out and we've been to the park twice. I hope you tried the frozen butterbeer!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Continuing on!!As you can see, I've entered the park and am strolling through over to Wizarding World of Harry PotterHere we are entering Seuss LandNow we are entering Lost ContinetnHere we are entering Harry Potter. The theming just like the rest of Islands is really well done!!For example, I always thought this was an integral part of one of the attractions, but it is purely a prop!!The entrance to Dueling Dragons (but I think it's called something else now) Inside the queue. I didn't take pictures of much of the line the first time cause I wanted to really experience it. However, we were stopped here for a few minutes, so I snapped some shotsNow, my initial thoughts on the attraction. I LOVED IT!!! But my body didn't like it :-( It is technologically and visually amazing, but VERY INTENSE. As a matter of fact someone warned me that the first ride for even the most thrill ride seekers sends them into overload, and it was suggested that I wait a while and ride a second time. So I did. More on that laterContinuing on more pictures of HogsMeadeClose to picture limit, more in the next post
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Most of these shop windows had animations. They were incredible!OK, time to leave Harry Potter and get me a bit to eat. More to come soon
stefa70 205
Love Seuss land! I grew up reading Dr. Seuss books. (OK all you smart asses....I didn't grow up too much) Never got into Harry Potter, so I can't comment too much on that part, but love looking at the pictures!

It was really enjoyable without knowing the complete backstory.
PureTcrazy...rita 380
I'm not a Harry Potter person, but it does look really cool. I'm not seeing huge crowds in your pictures, were you there real early?

stefa70 205
Carol, would you pay to go back? I've heard some not so great things about US/IOA recently. I've never been to IOA because I don't ride any coasters and wasn't sure if there was a lot to do otherwise. And now you've really turned me off since it took so long for you to find food. :rofl2:
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Now onto some attractions!First up, it was Cat in the Hat! Lots of fun, but is at the threshold of my "spinny" limitNext up, the train in the sky!!This was my first visit to this attraction, as it took FOREVER for them to get it open Safely back in the station

I've never been to IOA because I don't ride any coasters and wasn't sure if there was a lot to do otherwise. And now you've really turned me off since it took so long for you to find food. :rofl2:Probably not for a long while. Not because I don't enjoy it, but because of their pricing structure. US/IOA has traditionally been a park, where we/I visit for 1 day on a several day Disney trip. Back when we could get 4-day nonexpiring tickets that made sense. However, now with two-park tickets for 1-day costing over $100, I just don't see it.Now, I understand they have pretty good deals on Florida resident APs, and if I lived in the area, I would probably own an AP and visit several times a year.As far as finding food, it was at that weird hour. 10ish am. The front of the park had breakfast stuff and the food stands in the back parts of the park wouldn't open till lunch. Actually, the food place back in Harry Potter may have been open, I just missed it.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Here are some Christmas Decorations in SeussLand(Notice there are absolutely NO straight lines in SeussLand)Now I'm back in Lost ContinentThis fountain is funny, think talking trash can. I've had some great conversations with this guyBack into the Harry Potter areaThese folks were good!! The frogs were cute! This is the former Unicorn coaster at IOA, they have rethemed having something to do with a "Hippodrome" whatever that isThis is an EXCELLENT restaurant!! I didn't eat here this trip, but have before. On to Poseidon's FuryLet's just say, this is "different", but I enjoy itAfter Poseiden's Fury, I went to the Ghrinchmas ShowFirst thing I noticed when being seatedDoes this look like a dig at a Hidden Mickey or what??Coming next, LUNCH!!! then over to Universal Studios

Didn't you do Spiderman? That's my favorite! No, I passed on Spidey this time. I LOVE Spidey, but as I was planning on mentioning later, I was running out of steam, I used to be able to tour both Universal and IOA in a single day. The crowds were not the issue, it was my energy level. I've come to the realization that I'm just an AP kind of person. Go into a park, enjoy a couple of things, then spend the rest of the day relaxin and enjoying friends!! Don't forget, this was day 6 of 6 nonstop days. I'm getting too old for this pace!!!! (I WILL HAVE MY TWO WEEK TRIP NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!) And the Seuss Trolley Was FUN!!!!! Scaredy Cat :-)
doodlebug....Cherie 461
Great pictures. I did read all the HP books and have seen all the movies. Any of you who haven't read them do it. The first 3 aer especially good and you have to read the rest just because you get so invested in the outcome.

stefa70 205
Well, I feel like I was there so I'll save my money and spend it at WDW instead. The frogs are pretty cute though! The food from Emeril's looks yummy...BAM! Couldn't resist!I agree, that's a bad show, couldn't they have done the kiosk after hours? I guess we're spoiled by the Magic.
