We're going to Oregon.....oops make that Washington

Do it while your young, Genia. This trip has been a killer!

Was going to do the trip with my best friend and her husband. But when she didn't know where New Mexico was, we "postponed". I didn't care to end up on the wrong side of the Rio Grande.

Sugar, that is Stef with her googly eyes after her dreams...

Do NOT encourage him, he needs to go put out a fire.

We have picked up 7 mpg more just by dropping the trailer!!! New plan, since the weather is clear we are going to take I90 home. I will get to see more of this great country this great I've never seen

Probably a good thing. :)) Sometimes a trip like that the fewer involved the better.

glad to hear you made it and are safely tucked into your warm house with all the puppies sitting around you. ;)

you know what is so cool about dead wood -- yes, there is gambling but, there is more to it than that. i don't gamble and have a great time there... can't wait to see more pics.

Let's finish this up. First a few more pictures from Deadwood. I really enjoyed this stop and wish I had been able to spend more time here.

Here's another window shot, these really cracked me up!

One thing you should know, there are two Saloon# 10's. The first one you encounter is a casino with a lot of memorabilia but it is not the site where Wild Bill was murdered.

This is the original, I wish it had been opened, I would have liked to go inside and get the whole experience. I like that kind of stuff.

We came across this guy during our walk. I was glad to see we weren't the only turkey's in town. :rofl2:

We left town and took a state highway to Sturgis. It was a windy road and I wouldn't take it if there were snow on the ground. It was a beautiful ride this day!

After leaving the Sturgis area the landscape got a little bland. The only thing to break up the monotony were these. If I had taken DaveinTN's advice and had a shot every time I saw one of these I'd be dead. :rofl2:

I have said it before but believe me, check out the rest areas you stop at. There are almost always interesting things to see.

One thing though and this goes especially for Stef, Use the facilities no matter how bad you need to go!

083-1.jpg

We had one last night in Iowa and the it was just a matter of getting through Chicago. The traffic was a little heavier than what we had been driving in for the last week but we still breezed right through, This never happens. I have parked on this section of I80/I94 more times than I can count.

Now I am finished. This was an awesome experience. Even our breakdown proved interesting. I want to go back but I want to be in my MH and take time to really enjoy everything I saw around me.

Thanks for following along. I loved sharing this trip with you. My only real regret was I didn't have time to stop and meet BRDof3 and Lil' Lisa. Next time for sure.

Cool pictures doodle!

Poisonous snakes? That may make me think twice about going in the bushes. I don't care for snakes of any kind, and I definitely don't want one near my goodies.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever out west. :clint:

Glad you're home safely, now you can start packing the MH!!

Glad you made it home ok. Sorry to hear about your truck troubles. It's too bad we weren't able to get together when you passed through MN. :(

We never made it through MN, Lisa. We dropped down to 80 and took the familiar way home. Didn't we should push our luck.
