AC in A2......Aaron 693
One can only hope this is the beginning of the end for this ill conceived idea.http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Report-Avatar-Land-at-Disney-s-Animal-Kingdom-delayed/-/1637132/16486820/-/6wqft3z/-/index.html Katman1356...Jason
MicknMin...Holly 54
Good! Maybe we will get Carsland instead...not that it would really fit in at AK...
Lou... 3,118
I would take Avatarland, not that I'm that crazy about it, over Carsland if I had to choose between the two. I don't think that will be the case at DHS.Carsland is very cute but geared towards the little ones. There is enough cutesy stuff at MK.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
This news is very definitely not breaking my heart.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I bet 2 people in America are sad.

daddyphat808 - Eric 16
Wow Walt said "If you wish upon a star!" I believe it now. I really didn't want this. It just didn't sound like a good fit. Hell build a Star Wars land at DHS or use that talent and build something with your own properties at AK.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Now that there's just about ZERO going on at night at WDW (thanks to PI clubs closing) I still think the whole "Night Kingdom" concept at AK would be incredibly cool.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I hope this is true, but I have to agree with one of the comments posted on the link Aaron posted- this news article is based on very weak sources. There have been many projects which Disney announced and then got scrubbed and we never heard of them again. Does anyone remember that David Copperfield was going to open a magic themed restaurant at the entrance to DHS?Or the Eagle Pines DVC?It is things like this that give me hope that the River Country DVC never sees the light of day.TCD

I thought it would have been really cool. And the night clubs are a sad item for me. I was a DJ in local clubs and on the radio growing up and loved going to see the crazy light show and the sounds at PI. Although I fully understand the low life element and the crap stirred up from that I think Disney could have changed the whole area up and had a true family friendly area. A dinner show like House of Mouse, and a night club party type place for whole families. So much could be done but in true Disney fashion they would rather tear up and destroy views of iconic destinations and resort areas for DVC's instead of using the ton of available land for these projects. Why provide more entertainment options for families outside of the parks when we can build more DVC's and sell off land to third party mega resorts.Bah.... Stepping off of my soapbox.
freshlybarked 4
One can only hope this is truly a dead deal. I can think of so many other "Lands". I'd still like Australia/Tazmania which is rich in animals and culture - Outback.
Southern Blessings 4
Sounds good! Don't think I would have liked aAvatarland.
