I don't see why they wouldn't let you keep the paper pass. It assume it will be deactivated, so I don't know why they would care if you wanted to keep it for sentimental reasons. TCD

Cool, what's an Annual Pass?

 Poor Lou,

Fishing isn't any fun when nothing is biting.

Now I need to plan a trip to the Odyssey center!

They have all this elaborate stuff set up, and I have yet to hear a peep from Disney about this!

Have any passholders on this board heard anything from Disney about this?

We have not received any official word, but we will be doing this in just a few days!

You're more than welcome to come with us, we could make it into a celebration.

But alas you have graduating girls that require your assistance and we will be TCD-less over spring break at the fort.

Starting March 20, Passholders Can Get New Touch to Enter Cards

Since so many Passholders love to visit during Epcot International Flower & Garden

Festival, going on now through May 19, we’re offering a convenient way to exchange

your current paper Pass for a new card that allows you to use the new touch to enter

feature at theme park main entrances with the same admission privileges as your

current Pass.

During your next visit, bring your paper Pass and valid ID to the Odyssey Center,

located between Test Track® presented by Chevrolet® and the Mexico pavilion, to

get your new card. Please note that cards must be used by the same person who

originally used the paper Pass.

At this time, the Odyssey Center is the only location where Passholders can receive

the new cards. The Odyssey Center is open during regular park hours, and the best

time to visit is Monday through Friday after 12:00 noon. Please keep in mind that Main

Entrance ticket windows are unable to exchange Passes for the new cards.

In the coming months, we’ll provide more information here on other ways you’ll be

able to exchange your Pass for a new card, as well as more information on MyMagic+

and when MagicBands will be available to Passholders.

So, you have these bands now.  Are they taking away your paper ticket?  If they do, how do you get Fast Passes if the scheduling system isn't up and running yet?

No, you don't have to use the damn MagicBands and no, they are not taking away your damn cheapo paper tickets unless you want to convert them.

You don't get the Fastpasses yet because the damn system is not up and running yet.

But I want one of those gosh darn MagicBands.  I like the idea of paying for things with the flick of a wrist and a Pin Code.

However, if they take away my paper ticket when they do that, I am SOL on Fast Passes?
