  1. Seems like this thread was hijacked a little sooner than normal. Full disclosure, I have two boats and we are looking for Kayaks.......I love to be on the water as much as anyone. I was just trying to help Nacole out when her husband reads the thread....LOL....so much for that idea.
  2. The two happiest days of a boat owners life is the day he buys it and the day he sells it.
  3. I agree with weekender, and Doug. IMHO......Heavy duty trucks tend to be weight distributed forward, which means the rear end seems light to the overall "balance" of the truck. I point this out, because everyone that I know would never own another 2 wheel drive heavy duty truck. Backing up in loose gravel, wet grass, wet pavement, on the slightest incline will cause the truck to spin. I have seen many dually's, two wheel drive stuck when trying to backup , and you would think with the additional weight of the dually this would not be an issue, but it is. And by the way, the only way to unstic
  4. So.....who is taking the lead on making this a GG destination event? And when?
  5. Wow! Those sites look huge. Great find, thanks for the update.
  6. 20 years! Congratulations. We hit the 22 year mark this July. Looking forward to your review of Highball & Harvest.
  7. You know they offer group discount rates for GG and such......Just sayin'
  8. Sorry, no help with those two, but.... We have stayed at GreenAcres in Walterboro SC, it looks to only be another 1.5 down the road from Lexington SC, and the KOA at St Mary's Jacksonville on the Ga/FL line. Both of these locations are great one night stopovers. Oh, and Welcome to the Forum!
  9. X2 Great Smoky Jellystone in Cosby. They even made the top 10 places to stay in TN! Not bad considering the other nine places on the list, they are keeping good company. http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/tennessee/tn-hotels/
  10. I prefer a long bed for cargo capacity and a better ride all around, empty or full. With that being said, pulling my TT with CC Long bed I am 60' Front Bumper to Rear
  11. Pine mountain rv park is in the heart of Pigeon Forge and two blocks off the main drag. Fairly quiet and secluded. Probably 4-5 miles from Dollywood entrance. Several friends have stayed there and they highly recommend it. http://www.pinemountainrvpark.com
  12. Agreed, but it is also how they maintain or increase their customer base. No need to take care of the ones they have they can just "buy" more.
  13. I have said in the past that I would drive to Disney, eat at Ohana, and drive home ( its 12 hours one way). I have told numerous people how great it was.... Now, I would not walk across the street for it.
  14. 110% agree on the Ohana review. Years ago it was my favorite. Our trip in March of this year was just downright disappointing. Our food was exactly as you described, our service was TERRIBLE. Will make no effort to return.
  15. On another camping forum several folks reccommend this for both two and four legged famuly members. http://www.solvitproducts.com/page/info/pet-ramps
  16. In your trailer all power goes through the converter. It has an AC side and DC side where it can take power from. When you are plugged into shore power the AC side goes to all of your outlets and appliances. It also converts some of that to 12V DC to power the 12V side of the trailer such as your interior lighting or radio and to charge the battery. When you are not connected to shore power the converter uses the battery to only power the 12V DC side of your trailer. For all of the converters I have seen the AC side circuits are protected by circuit breakers and the DC side is protected by fu
  17. If you connect your TT up to your truck (after unplugging from shore power of course) do the lights work? Also, make sure to at least place the trailer hitch on the ball, to provide common ground throughout. This would allow your TT to draw power from the truck battery, and this would answer once and for all if you have continuity throughout the TT, and would prove your new TT came with a faulty battery.
  18. I found the following statement in the whitehawk owners guide "make sure power inverter is turned off before disconnecting the battery". I did not know hou could turn off the inverter. Maybe their solution in place of a disconnect. Manual is vague in any further reference but does allude to circuit breaker should be off before disconnecting battery. Is there A breaker in your panel in the off position?
