  1. Mostly some smoke or mist but not extreme coldness like one would think you would feel in an ice castle.
  2. I was very interested when the "fixer upper" men came out and had their water wading boots on. Something must have happened that required them to wade in the water. There was a man in a plaid shirt running the show. Wish I knew his name, he was so proud of the ride and was all over getting it fixed back up. We also met the sisters after that and it seemed pretty efficient. Little ones will enjoy that. The odd thing that happened there (and happened when we met Olaf at HS) was this single older man in line snapped a photo of Ana meeting my girls. It was like he was a blogger who just wan
  3. It's almost like they were like we have this new awesome way to do animatronic faces that's just amazing...look at it but then they forgot the rest of the stuff. I like the details but I'm weird like that.
  4. We rode it today. Had fast pass. Had to sit in line with a fast pass because it was having issues. Wasn't a bad wait at all. The Disney people were bringing out free Dasani waters to those in line. They really wanted people to be happy. The que was neat. You walk through wandering oakens and it's sort of like you are in arendelle. The actual ride or route didn't seem to have changed from maelstrom at all. It was fun and the new animatronics of the sisters were fabulous. It was the projected 3D faces that they are doing now. The best thing was the reindeer and the trolls. They looked
  5. Love it! We are going to stay in a cabin this summer too....Happy Birthday to your daughters!
  6. I'm so excited about your manager gossip. And impressed that you checked out Jose's linkedn. Good spy work. Love the pics of the path!
  7. We just checked out on March 15 and yesterday or the day before, I got a survey in email about Fort Wilderness specifically. We had unfortunately had a bad experience at the pool with lifeguards telling my girls (7 and 9) to get out of the splash area very publicly. They were playing in there with their little brother and were humiliated. They will never set foot back in there even to watch him, I am certain. Why not come over to the adults and explain that if they are a certain height, they can't play in there....? I wish that there was a rule posted, I honestly had no idea and it wasn't
  8. We rarely seem to be able to hang into the night magic hours. I would be willing to bet it is going to be a lot like the holiday parties. Wow, surely at 149 it would include the day's admission. I can't imagine paying all that money then being worn out and leaving early! That would be a tough day for me.
  9. Also keep in mind, your food stretches longer if you are going to eat some on Disney property. We have a bigger family too and use that much milk, etc.. I don't think the prices are too high on perishables. The expensive things are the ones that have a longer shelf life. As long as you are supplementing from the fort, it doesn't break the bank in my opinion. We like to order pizza to go from Trails End too. It is reasonable and tastes pretty good.
  10. I'm really excited to do this. I think it's a fair price especially if you get a pin. I always want to spend more time in the world showcase but the kids want to be in future world.
  11. I always assumed there were lots of behind the scenes monitors that woul immediately detect something like that. Sort of scary.
  12. We usually skip the tram and walk. Mostly because we have a stroller and it's a bear to hold onto that and 3 little sets of hands. If you don't try to rush, I don't think the walk in is bad at any of the lots. The only thing that kicks my tail is the incline to get on the monorails.
  13. Eek. Are there raises on everything every year? I am starting to not have enough room in my brain for each increase.
  14. Can you imagine the parking attendants trying to figure out who goes where? There are so many cars coming in and out of these places and nothing to identify you as annual pass. They would have to make something to go in your car to show the premium. It seems like it would case confusion. I would consider limo service. Wonder how much that would cost :)
  15. I hadn't even heard of this. Sounds fun also!
  16. Is the egg hunt at Epcot fun? It sounds fun to me and like a way to get my kids to explore the countries. Has anyone ever done it? We will be there Saturday, and it was on my list.
  17. Not good. This is one thing I like about being on property...there is no need to investigate the hidden fees. I wish If they did add more, they would at least send me a Duffy bear or something for coming so often. Really those of us who people label as Disney nuts are some of their best marketers. They could do a referral system like direc tv :).
  18. Yes, he and I have decided that he is going to remove it. On the good side, he is crazy talented and is going to keep adding bday invites, other signs, and that type of thing. I wish that Disney would have their own personalization shop for things like this rather than just what's available at the Disney store. I had been waiting a long time to find a sign I really liked.
  19. This trip report makes me happy in so many ways! I agree that the title is great! We stayed for 20 something days in the summer and it felt like living there all while feeling too short also. I love the back entrance to Epcot. Why? I really have no idea, but it's just cooler. Maybe because I love the showcase so much. Love Minnie at breakfast. Adorable. Love seeing bigger kids with characters. we have yet to do the Coke sampling. It is on our list. we have done the bungee cord roof hauling. It is always interesting. Did a wheel chair and stroller on our l
  20. Very proud teacher moment. I have a high school student that is awesome with design. I had him make me a vinyl sign since I can't afford one of the big wooden ones and they are so heavy. It was so cute, I have convinced him to open an Etsy Shop and start creating things that are similar. He is going to also design the wooden ones but put them on vinyl. That makes them so much lighter weight. He could literally make anything you could think of. Just an FYI if you are interested in anything. He is fabulous and going to use the money for college :) https://www.etsy.com/listing/269809
  21. We are coming down to the Fort March 12-15. We are considering going to a spring training game. Has anyone done it? How can we get to the game from the fort? We will not have a car, just the motorhome. Thanks!!!!
  22. We always come down 95 and visit Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach before we head over to Disney. We really do not enjoy I4. We like to go 192 over to the Fort. If you want to actually camp at Jetty Park, make sure you reserve in advance. If you want to just drive over to check things out, you do have to pay to get in for a bit.
  23. For my family, the Fort isn't even a much about Disney as it is about "The Fort." We are actually planning to start staying at Disney resorts as a vacation in themselves (the fort included). We are thinking the best bang for our buck lately is to stay off property and go back to the old ways of killing a major day at Disney because a hotel then only becomes a place to sleep and shower...sooo, what is the point of paying a lot of money for it? If there were a campground that held the charm that the fort had, we would be vacationing there as well. We have annual passes so on most days we lite
  24. Sorry just saw your comment, it was on safari on my iPhone. It was as soon as I put the dates in and hit search (or whatever your press at that point).
