  1. I don't have any great stories to tell like Ed's and this isn't a suspense filled TR like TCD's, so I guess this will mostly be a visual tour of the things we see and do. Sometimes pictures are worth a thousand word (...and sometimes they're not worth a penny)! So here we go with this afternoon's visit to DHS.... First up is Little Mermaid...we really like the laser light effects but they don't photograph well. We visited Playhouse Disney and when we got done had an encounter with a Little Einstein We wander down to the Pixar area and take in a game of Toy Story.. Here's some sit
  2. We made the rounds this morning with our little Snarky Greeter....post your site when you get here and he will be around real soon to welcome you to the Halloween GG! First stop...Ed, Rita, OldeKoot and Grammie (Ed's posted a picture of our visit already) Second stop...Monique...oops! nobody home Third stop....Cheryl...(I'm getting my purple spray paint for those green ears!!) Fourth stop....Pam and family Had nice visits with everybody and now we're off to DHS.
  3. Awww Lou....you poor thing!! :'( You're invited next time we have a GAG and we'll all sit on the porch and eat it at Crockett's. I order extra cornbread and biscuits too!!
  4. Yes, you can still get Cowboy Beans. When we got our GAG Tuesday, the CM asked us if we wanted beans since they were available and not listed on the menu.
  5. Yes, you are the supreme expert....all I can say is that the have not charged ME extra.... Maybe because I send Aiden in to order and he turns on the charm!!!
  6. Yes there are a couple of drumsticks. If you want more just ask (there are a total of 10 pieces) for like 5 drumsticks and 5 white meat pieces. We always get all white meat and they have never charged us extra. Can't wait to meet you....see ya real soon!!
  7. Thank you everybody for the nice compliments. We are so looking forward to meeting all the Fiends coming for the Halloween GG. :jumpforjoy Aiden is only one of my very precious grandsons...his 9 month old brother, PJ, is at home in Virginia with Mom & Dad  . Tonight we have some new Fort news..... Check out the addition to the walkway next to Feisty's site which is on the right side of this picture. Yup...they added another pole right in the middle. Seems a golf cart could just squeeze between the first two poles they recently put in. So Disney, in it's infinite wisdom, in
  8. It doesn't say, but you can also get Cowboy Beans as a side with your GAG. Here's the Take Out Breakfast Menu and there are quite a few items that can be used for Snack credits on the Dining Plan.
  9. Stopped at the front desk this morning AND again tonight. They still say they have nothing printed concerning the Halloween activities! I will try and go back and ask about the golf cart parade but I really don't have any faith in them giving out correct information....or even having any information. :argh:
  10. No...I just distorted some identifying stickers... :hah: thought it looked rather cool with swirls!
  11. The last couple of days we've spent around the Fort (waiting for the torrential rains that never came) and a few hours over at Epcot. Here's some scenes from around the Fort (no narration needed).... And here's some from Epcot.... (The sausage was barely warm and the pretzel bun tasted like a stale cracker) The Segway tour... The Kitchen Chef's band...(they were good) My little man making a wish!
  12. I'm impressed Monique!! Last night at the front desk they tell me they have no printed, official information out to the public and here you have it. Just goes to show you how much communication Disney does with their people....NOT!! :argh:
  13. Here's Hilda's display.... The next two are the display across from Hilda.... The right side of the second picture is Fort Wilderness Trail and the whole corner is empty of decorations...there is nothing on the corner. :'( Here's the Thriller display... The decorations this year are pretty slim. Hilda said that one person picked up their decorations and left when told about the new rules. She didn't say who...but sounds like it was one of the bigger displays. The only big displays here are Hilda and her neighbor across the street in 700, "thriller" guy in 400 and Fiesty in 100. TCD - Hilda
  14. We've stayed at both places and agree that they are the best in each of those areas. You need to watch at Williamsburg because some places have reduced or shortened hours outside of the high tourist season which is between Memorial weekend and Labor Day weekend.
  15. The decorations at Hilda's site and her neighbor across the street are real subdued. In fact, the neighbor's decorations have been wrapped up in plastic...I think she uncovers them on the weekend when she's here. The common area next to Hilda's neighbor is empty...looks sad Will try to take some pictures when the lights are on and post tonight.
  16. It rained on and off for a couple hours. Nothing serious. Very humid, mostly sunny and 79 as of 10 am. Heading to Epcot for F&W!!! Hope to get some food pictures of kitties!!
  17. Disney's weekly Times Guide now shows the changes to the Monorail operating hours. Note under Magic Kingdom Disney has split the listing to "Resort Monorail" and "Express Monorail" and the hours are different. On Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday when MK has MNSSHP the resort monorails run until 12:30 am. The Express monorail only runs until 1 hour after park closing (which does not include EMH or special events like MNSSHP). When we came out of MK on Monday at about 11pm everybody was being directed to buses or boats. Nobody was allowed up the monorail ramp since, according to the new sche
  18. We are now having a "real" rain here at the Fort. The local weather is using their scare tactics again and showing people getting sandbags due to the possibility of flooding.
  19. As of now, 3:15pm, we have had a nice stiff breeze all day. Sprinkles on and off and one spell of rain that lasted about 10 minutes. It's a balmy 78 and just bright enough to make you almost squint but not really need sunglasses. We should have headed out this morning like planned....good thing we're not on a time schedule and trying to do the parks in three days!
  20. After running around to restock groceries we decided to wander over to MK for EMH. Some of the decorations we saw along the way.... A lot of decorated golf carts are starting to show up.... Passing by Discovery Island we saw many of these big black birds in the sky and roosting in the trees... The sunset was very pretty... The "welcome lights" were on at MK... First stop is always Peter Pan. The ride got stuck so we were left hanging over London... Then across the way to ISM...(no...don't listen to that song going round in your head!! :rofl3: ) Aiden just can't swivel around fast enou
