  1. Is Rudy here yet?? Oh, errrr, are you here yet? :rofl2: Tri-B
  2. I'd have to agree, but we only eat in the parks for convenience. On this trip we've really noticed a decline in the kids meals from our last trip in February. Pizza has been either under/over cooked, chicken nuggets dried out (like freezer burned), bagged carrots dried out, bagged grapes mushy. However, the chocolate chip cookies are very good. We've been on the boat to MK a lot this trip. Many times (at least six) we've overheard conversations about dinner at TE and HDD and how they would never eat here again. I have nothing to compare to since I won't eat off metal plates and have never had
  3. Most of these cost $$$.... Characters in Flight - hot air balloon World of Disney - shopping for any souvenirs - make sure you look up at the characters hanging from the ceiling like Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet. Christmas Shop - pick out a Christmas ornament and have it decorated with your name, year, pixie dust Pin Traders - buy/trade pins (has some Disney figures where you can take your picture) AMC Movie Theaters (over on the west side) DisneyQuest - electronic gaming Ridemakerz - build your own remote control car/truck Magnetron - this is the place to go if you're looking for a
  4. The pathway to WL is open...in fact we just went that way to the lodge today. The Disney Popo is sitting at the intersection of where the road crosses the trail and you cannot go the back way up that road. We had thought about doing that when the fire first broke out but the Disney Popo beat us to it...how thoughtless!! Oh, and you cannot see any smoke or anything from the walk way. The blockade on the other end has been moved back to by the 2000 loop bus stop. Tri-B
  5. First you gotta catch him....he's faster than a greased piggy!!
  6. Apparently we had a visit from Yuri's sister today. When we got back from the playground we found these pictures with a note.... Dear TCD Junior Deputy, I came to visit today but nobody was home so I borrowed your golf cart and and camera for a wander around the Fort. Some friends were back in the 2000 loop. They were not home either, but I did find the Disney Popo. In chatting with them they told me the fire has now burned almost 80 acres and is still smoldering. They will continue to flood the area and monitor the situation closely and expect it will be burning for a while yet. While wanderi
  7. Don't be sad Doodle..... We'll be back for HALLOWEEN!!!!   Just think of the pictures then!!!! Tri-B
  8. A few days have slipped by again...I just don't know how that keeps happening! Anyways, we spent Sunday back at AK to take in Aiden's favorites, Lion King, Finding Nemo, the parade and Bugs Life. We have also met Fiends Tigger, Vick, No Regrets and FtWildernessRick. Looking forward to some of No Regrets (Craig) peach cobbler today! Most of the rest of the time has been spent at the Fort taking in the scenes. Over the weekend it was busting at the seems full, right now it's only about 50% capacity. I'm sure it will be filling up quickly for the holiday weekend. So...on with the pictures. Again
  9. Here's the latest pictures of the Wilderness Pool construction. They have finished the gunite application. Tri-B
  10. Thank you and I made the shirts with transfers. Check out this post.... T-Shirts Tri-B
  11. Oops! Sorry didn't know you already had GAC and misunderstood you were looking for bus information. Lou...can you add anymore?? I think if the child stays in the stroller it will need to be tied down?? And you're right about disabilities not all being noticeable....we were treated horribly by a CM at Soarin and one at Spaceship Earth. Both times had to get a manager and lodge formal complaints. It really is one area that would be nice if Disney gave the CMs a little more training.
  12. Just lovin' your style!!! This was an amazing view of the Fort. More Zoe pics please! Tri-B
  13. Nice report Dave. I had forgotten about the torch lighting ceremony. Think we will take the Grandson to see it too. Tri-B
  14. You're absolutely correct...trip reports are a lot of work and your kind words, and those of the other Fiends, have been greatly appreciated. :purpleflam: Thanks TCD for another wonderful trip report...looking forward to your next one on Monday. Tri-B
  15. The pictures are taken through out the day...the flowers between 10-11 AM or so.... I never wear a watch when I come to visit the Mouse...time just sort of slips away :rofl2: Tri-B
  16. We continue touring around the Fort.... A visit to the Outpost The butterfly garden is beautiful The Fort's mascots, Chip & Dale, direct traffic Hitch & Unhitch area is quiet Taking a playground break We find ANOTHER water leak Remember Dave found the smoker chained to the grill? Now they have added a golf cart loaded with groceries And FOUR trash barrels....can you say PARTY??!!!! Five pink tents and only one blue tent...the ladies rule! Wilderness Pool renovations Check out the separate thread...click here Sprucing up the 600 loop...a coat of brown over the top and it'll
  17. Looks like TCD was correct and this pool will be the same depth as the Meadows pool. As reported in Dave's TR the Gunite trucks were back again today. Check out the top edge of the pool and the height of the man standing inside. Tri-B Reporting LIVE from the Fort
  18. On my light fabric transfers I trimmed about 1/8" from the edge of the design. On dark fabric transfers I carefully trimmed at the edge of the design. One more hint...light color transfers are transparent. Anything on your design that is "white" will become the color of the shirt. For example...I had a bright green shirt and a buzz lightyear design. Buzz's spacesuit is white and green. When I put it on the shirt the white spacesuit part became green so he looked all green. Yeah....live and learn...my grandson was not impressed with an all green Buzz !! Dark color transfers are opaque. W
  19. Our Walmarts have the "new" floorplan and no longer have sewing/fabric departments so the transfer paper was in the office supply area. If you have a Hobby Lobby or Michaels sign up for their email notices and get 40% off coupons. The coupons are also in their weekly newspaper ads too. Ooohhh yeah!! Rounded corners....that's important ! Tri-B
  20. Transfer papers is available at WalMart, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby (if you have them in your area) or you can order online. It is a little $$$$ so you want to practice your printouts before you do the transfers. I don't have any special software...just Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Paint...whatever you normally use for printing your jpegs should work. Some people use gimp, Photoshop, and whatever it is Macs users have.
  21. Simple....just print your jpeg out onto the transfer material just as if you were printing it out onto paper. If you're printing the design onto light color fabric transfer paper you will need to print it as a reverse image. For most printers there is usually a check box in the printer settings for reverse image (sometimes it says T-shirt image). Reverse printing is not needed when using dark color fabric transfers. There are directions in the package of transfer paper. Here's some things I learned (the hard way! ) 1. Dark transfers work better than light transfers which have a tendency to d
  22. Thanks Lou! We have had to learn the ins and outs of Disney handicapped accessibility. I have a GAC and must use an electric wheelchair. Our Grandson's stroller is tagged as a wheelchair also.. Makes for an interesting trip on the boat to MK sometimes... So I have done a lot of research and have found that many times we know more than the CMs. Of course, in their defense, they don't deal with it everyday and we do. Stop by if you're in the area again....we're across the street now due to the water leak.
