  1. Great page! We'll be leaving for WDW in 4 weeks and will be in the cabins for 13 nights. The cabins are what started our love for The Fort. Next trip we will be in our new TT!
  2. Great trip report! We love POR too, especially Alligator Bayou. I think it's really pretty at night.
  3. Found this link to a video of the refurbed rooms: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pQ0vlxZDUs
  4. I saw pictures somewhere of refurbed rooms at All Star Movies. Not sure if all buildings are done or not. I was kind of surprised to hear ASMu is already getting refurbed again though. Has it already been that long?
  5. We have so many best, it's hard to pick just one, but I'll say it was looping last year every night looking at all the great Halloween decorations. Worst was our cabin floor last fall. Everyone's feet turned black walking across it and it never got fixed our entire stay even after asking that it be mopped. We laugh about it now.
  6. Share your best experience at The Fort and your worst experience.
  7. We rented from Kenny last October, which was after the parking lot change, and he still met us inside in the overflow lot. We had problems with our cart mid trip and he brought another right to our cabin. As long as no transactions are taking palce on Disney property as others have said, I don't see how Disney could stop him from delivering carts to people. They could say no non Disney golf carts allowed at all, but I can't imagine how that would go over. Otherwise, they can't prove that he's not just a friend letting someone borrow his cart for their trip. Maybe he has a lot of friends and is
  8. That KFC and museum really looks neat! Unfortunately, being on the west side of Michigan, we don't take 75 all the way. We start out on 69 then 65 to 24 to end up on 75 in Chatanooga. No Corbin KFC for us. :-[
  9. Thanks for sharing the pictures! Personally, I love the over the top theming, especially in the Cars rooms. Did you see the prices for that place yet though??
  10. UGH, That would've be hard to cook in that oven again after you know a mouse was baked in there. :barf: That's crazy that insurance wouldn't cover it. What kind of addition to her policy would she have had to have?
  11. Thanks for the tips! I really don't want anything getting in there for the yuck factor, but it would be even worse if they destroyed things. We have a problem with chipmunks here getting into everything too. And they are NOT nice like Chip and Dale.
  12. I wasn't sure where to put this, so please move it if it fits better someplace else. Does anyone have a problem with rodents getting into your camper when you are not using it? I wouldn't have thought of it but DH said he noticed mice had been chewing in the outdoor kitchen on one of the TT's we looked at (which was brand new by the way :o ). Do you need to keep traps inside or do something else to prevent them from getting in in the first place?
  13. Is this for 2011? Just wondering because I was thinking that when I looked at the rates for the second half of April 2012, it was regular season. I hope it's not peak at that time next year! I think since Easter is early, rates go down after that.
  14. I started a thread about what to keep in your camper a few days ago. I think it is right under this one if you want to check it out. Everyone had great suggestions. We are in the process of buying our first TT and had no idea what to put in it. We have 5 boys, 1 girl, and a baby on the way. We will be packed in, but it will be so much fun!!
  15. Well, we've drove down to WDW twice a year for the last several years and never have had an RV of any kind, so we have always had to use the rest stops, no other choice. It also seems like it would take a lot longer to use the bathroom in the TT since we would have to go one at a time instead of everyone out and going all at once. Maybe we'll change our mind after actually having the option to do so though. ;D
  16. Do you mind me asking what route you take from Michigan to FL? And where you stop for the night on your first day?
  17. Thanks, I think we'll stick with rest stops too. Then I don't have to worry about taking any water at all.
  18. We've Always rentef from Kenny and loved his service. However, after this trip we'll be renting from Steve because we need that 6 person cart.
  19. We were thinking we wouldn't travel with any water also. Do you think it's worth it to take a few gallons to use the bathroom along the way vs. a rest stop? There are 8 of us that would have to use the bathroom.
  20. I bpught good quality ponchos and rain coats for the little ones last year on clearance at Walmart.com. The little kids are even Disney. Only $5 each!
  21. Thanks so much everyone! Now if we could just get it HOME, so I can start packing it up and checking things off my list!
