It happened to us on the moving walkway. We were stuck there for hours.

Hmmm...  We are planning to be at DHS on 9/26.  It would be nice for my girls if this was still going on, but I would need to rearrange some touring plans.  At this point, I am waiting for an official announcement before I get worried.

Lou... got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Pizza delivery...
    It's a deal.
As I posted previously, I buy PJ's pizza because of the discount and it's as good or better than the other brands, so why not. It's also the closest pizza place as the discount is for pickup only. We do have it delivered sometimes as well.

The kids that work there are great throughout the year, so around Christmas time we purposely have it delivered. The reason being that we give that person an extremely generous tip as a Christmas gift.
We give back what we saved, so it's not like we're spending our money.

Last year was very funny. We handed the young man the tip, but it was folded. He thanked us, but didn't look at it. He assumed it was a few dollars or maybe a five dollar bill. I counted the seconds after he left. Sure enough he looked at it after he got in his car and came running back. He asked if we realized what we gave him. That was good to see as it could have been a mistake. We said yes, Merry Christmas. He was one appreciative PJ deliver person. He shook my hand and gave my wife a hug.
I know, you're wondering, how much was the damn tip? It was much, much, more than $5, $10, or $20.
Hey, it Christmas, he deserved it and  it makes us smile..

    Here's another PJs related story.
Whenever I organize a Fiend Pizza Bash at the Fort, which BTW is overdue, you guessed it. I bring a bunch of PJ's pizzas and pass along the discount to the Fiends. Thank you very much Papa John.

Sorry, but I've just been notified by the "HBDYHI Ranking Committee" that your self classification is denied.
They say that in order to reach the coveted Mo level, you have to do as Mo does. This means staying at the Fort for about 3 weeks in a row each year, staying at the Fort for a few days during the winter with a bunch of other crazy ladies, plus driving 2700 miles to participate at a 24 hour event at MK.

Have you done any of those things? I think you aspire to be a Mo, but it will take additional effort on your part.
The best the committee can do is to award you an Honorary Mo status, which like Honorary degrees means absolutely nothing.

And that brings up the liquid sanitizing overhype, what a bunch of baloney.
How in the world did we survive before they brainwashed us into thinking that all of sudden we need to slop that stuff on us 100 times a day? The only ones that benefit are the companies that sell it.

I think some people may want to see it so that they can steal it and won't have to take the time and effort to make up their own can get some ideas when making up their own version.

A lot of you who are saying you're a Mo, but IMO, you're not a Mo. I would classify you as a Carol.
There are only a handful of Fiends that rise to the Mo level.
I realize that you'd like to be a Mo, but that's reserved for the obsessive, fanatical, I can't get enough of WDW people.
So rank yourself as to what you are and not what you want to be.

Good for you FWLoopy, keep it up.
It concerns me that many of my friends are quite a bit overweight and that it will have a negative effect on the quality and length of their lives.

It's been 6 years since I had to do it, but unless it's changed, they take fingerprints, drug test, and do a background check on new hires.

I think people should be more concerned about other people in the park rather than the average frontline CM who does not have the opportunity to be alone with the child.

Hey amateur from NH, close, but no cigar. You have quit the cigar thing, haven't you?

Anyway, Mo has it almost right, but I can save you some walking.

Once you cross the street, stay to right as if you're going to the convention center entrance, (purple dots) but don't go inside unless there is something going on that interests you. Who knows, maybe I'll be working an event in there that day.

Anyway, go by the entrance and you'll come to a covered walkway that leads to the steps, which if you're not too sloshed by then to use them without falling, will take you down to the Boardwalk. Stay to the right past the ESPN Club to the IG on the right.
When you get to the IG, tell them Lou sent you and they'll let you in for free.
    Good luck with that.

The next phase of roadwork at DTD will begin July 14th.
All this leads up to BVD being widened to 10 lanes with two dedicated bus lanes and the addition of 2 pedestrian bridges.
    In addition:

    Medians will be paved.
Concrete barriers will be added to shift lanes to one side.
Buena Vista Drive will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes going both directions along portions of the road from Bonnet Creek Parkway to Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
Access to Downtown Disney by vehicle will be shifted to entrance 2 across from the Hess Station and Entrance 5 across from Typhoon Lagoon.
The SunTrust building intersection will be changed to right-turn-in/right-turn-out only for cars.
The sidewalk directly in front of the new parking garage (across the street from Team Disney) will close permanently.
A small section of sidewalk across the street from the Hess Station and Casting Building that connects to the back of existing Cast Services Building will close permanently.
The sidewalk between the main Team Disney entrance and the Team Disney back entrance along Buena Vista Drive will be closed permanently.
Speed limit along Buena Vista Drive is now 35 mph.

I know it, and for some inexplicable reason which once again shows how poor Fiends judge of character is, my rep points keep climbing, knock it off.

You would think that, but it's just a coincidence.

Thanks Beckers, that's very nice, but I won't be accepting any donations and would rather you buy those two little guys, and maybe even the big guy, an ice cream and tell them it's on me.
See what I did there? Gutta get those bribery rep points up. Dave is getting too close.

Anyway, these two guys love the visitor, especially Buddy.
It's odd that he wants nothing to do with Dobby, but loves the kitten.

She was not a basket case like Lil Lou when I found him. She's been eating and drinking and doing everything else normally, but I guess because she's been a stray for her entire short life, she was keeping to herself until today. She's started acting like a kitten and is playing as she should be.

    Thanks Cindy.

It's been a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd give an update for the animal lovers out there. It's not as happy as it could be, but still a happy update.

Look at her in the photo below, so cute, what a personality. She climbed up on the scratch pole that Gail bought for her, just to watch MaMa Cat eat. Little does she know that she may be out there with her in a month or so.

She is as cute as they come. She runs around the house just looking for something to play with. We're getting lots of smiles from her.

Anyway, she's doing great. She finally weighs 2 lbs and is now eligible to be spayed. I'll bring her in Monday and pick her up Friday.

Unfortunately we haven't found a home for her yet, but plan B is not so bad for her.
We'll release her when she's big enough to hold her own in the outside world. She'll be able to come and go from our pool enclosure. I'll put a Kitty door in one of the doors so that she can access the food and water that we'll put out for her.

She's here now walking across the keyyyyyyyyyyyyyybooooooooard as I try to type this. She is special.
Life is good for the yet nameless kitten as she has full run of the house and pool area, has her own room, and people that care for her.

Glad my little fighter has adapted to traveling.
The house seems a little boring without the sound of his little paws running, actual galloping, from one end to the other.
While the first few days we had him were filled with doubts and sadness, once he began eating on his own, he did nothing but make us smile with his antics.
I kept hoping right up until just before I left to drop him off that maybe I would be able to keep him, but it didn't happen.
While giving him to Cindy, I was happy and grateful that I found a good home for him, but at the same time it was difficult. I
made sure I kept my sunglasses on.

I think a have a solution where I can maintain my street cred.
How about I'll be mean to everyone except when it comes to animals.
Uhh, maybe will have to add kids to the list, and maybe families with challenges, and maybe people in the military, but that's absolutely it. I'll be mean to everyone else.

Lou... got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Farewell Busman
Looked at my schedule today and I'm not on it as a bus driver. So that's a wrap. My last day driving a bus was in fact my last day driving a WDW bus.

It would have been 6 years later this month. I never planned to be one and didn't request to be one. Casting was even more desperate then than they are now and bent over backwards for me to be one. They gave me whatever days I wanted and I could be scheduled for only 2 days, and they didn't have to be weekend days. That's unheard of today. I and a bunch of other guys got special training in order to get us into a bus quickly, which has never been repeated. It was grueling. I had gotten my license and was working as a bus driver in less than 3 weeks.

At the beginning I worked 4 days a week, but towards the end, I was down to 1, 2, sometimes no days a week.
Except for the past year, those shifts were during the day. It was, past tense, a good situation. The switch to working very late nights hastened my desire to transfer.

Bus drivers are at the top of the food chain as far as costumed CMs go and the job does carry a certain amount of prestige, but it also comes with a fair amount of responsibility. A mistake at the wrong time is literally a life or death situation. I will admit that I didn't want that responsibilty anymore. I wanted something where people are not depending on me except to tell them where to go or what to do.

It was fun, I did it real well, and I will miss certain aspects of being a WDW bus driver.

So farewell busman, busnut, cranky bus driver, crabby bus driver, MagicBus, captain Lou, it was nice knowing you.
