What are the odds of someone hired at Disney World in 2021 still working there in 2071?
I'll bet there will be a couple.. Just like any business, there is always the exception.

Disney World opened 50 years ago; these workers never left
The employees who make up the 50-year club say the theme park resort has allowed them to grow their careers and try on new hats.

Not camping related, but thought you "puppie" owners would enjoy.
We moved to a new complex in Illinois, where we spend the summer near our daughter, and they tout being "pet friendly". Well they definitely live up to their word, we got this email today.
DROOL IN THE POOL..
With Monday being the last day the pool will be open, we are dedicating Tuesday September 28th, to our 4 legged furry friends. We invite all the dogs to come and swim that day from 10 am- 6 pm. We will have special treats for them to enjoy. We will make sure the water is at an enjoyable temperature for them.
We look forward to seeing you all there. -
From FOX 35
ORLANDO, Fla. - Soon you won't need to join the virtual queue to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Starting Sept. 23, you can use the traditional stand-by line. This is the first time people will be able to do that since the ride opened in 2019. Since the beginning, guests have only been able to ride using the virtual queue, which is being paused, according to Disney Parks Blog.

I wonder how much Disney paid for that ranking? Don’t get me wrong, I love DCL, but their newest ship is 9 years old, and their competitors have much newer, nicer, and technically advanced ships. Something is fishy about this award.
TCD
A ship is a ship it's the service and experiences that count in my opinion. DCL has 1 CM for every 1.7 passengers and the average across the cruise industry is 1 CM for every 2.5 passengers..

That’s wrong. A lifetime of commitment. While I understand that none of us works for free, there’s something to be said about the value of a career, value of time dedicated. It’s unfortunate that that was the way they let you leave 😕
Most governmental agencies do not give our "Retirement Goodies".... After my 30 + in local government that's all I got too.

They had no choice but to stay in Disney apartments with up to 6 other kids, maybe more I forget. Could not stay with family or friends, money deducted from pay for rent and more my brain is not remembering.
Then things have changed, right from FAQ about the program. Also not what I heard from our friend

Q: Do you need to live in company sponsored housing?
A: No, living in company sponsored housing is not a requirement. CPs may opt to find their own housing, which may or may not be less expensive (depending on a number of factors like roommates, location, amenities, transportation costs, etc…) though many CPs choose to live in program housing as it can be easier than securing a short term lease on their own, and transportation to and from work is included in the rent. Additionally, housing events take place for CPs, and many participants worry that by living off site they may miss out on some of the experience -

So many of the folks at the Fort who were there every winter we were down loved their work,<<snip>> but dreaded the looney-tunes management that didn't have a hot clue about what guests/customers really wanted and needed and were constantly "improving" things.
But I think you're describing a large portion of corporate America

r now there will continue to be an oversupply of college kids who don’t have any better options than to work as slaves for 6 to 9 month contracts with no benefits. Disney always wins.

How is that any different than a vast majority of CO-OP jobs at any college? You get to work for slightly above minimum wage for College Credits and no other benefits and there is no guarantee that you will be hired after graduation. I have a good friend who swears by the College Program and he "Loves DIS" for the doors that the program opened for him. He is currently the Director of Ticket Operations for an NFL team.

I can't imagine they will let people fill their own cups. Maybe they'll have a CM manning it, or have some sort of motion sensing auto filling dispensers to minimize touch.
Last I heard they reopened the self serve at the resorts and the Fort.

Good information. One thing to note though about the examples of other parks. I can only speak from experience of Dollywood's pass, which they call Time Saver. For your $49, you get 8 uses, but they don't restrict you for the best rides.
<<snip>>
Will not be surprised to see Disney implementing something along those lines to not only bring in more revenue, but for help in managing crowd control.
I think Cedar Point is per day on top of admission at $110 to $160 depending on which level you want. I also agree it is to help with control plus the $$.

There is some base pricing examples in the comments on my post but it is expensive. I think the two nights was $4800 for 2 adults in the example date range.
But if I read it correctly "All inclusive" similar to a cruise with a couple other perks thrown in.

The Walt Disney Co. has added its name to the growing list of major corporations mandating that employees to be fully vaccinated.
The new requirement applies to all salaried and non-union hourly employees, in the U.S., and the company said that they are talking to unions representing workers under collective bargaining agreements.

Beginning July 30, face-coverings are required for all guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors and in Disney buses, monorail, and Disney Skyliner, regardless of vaccination status.

"Disney says they'll be paying moving costs for all 2,000 employees."
I wonder how many folks won't want to relocate across country and will opt out?
Based on the tax and cost of living differences I think most will accept the move.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Disney Cruise Line plans to have a “test sailing” out of Port Canaveral, departing Saturday afternoon, as a key step toward Disney resuming operations with paying passengers from U.S. ports, News 6 partner Florida Today reports.
Saturday’s sailing will be on the Disney Dream, and would be the first such cruise activity out of Port Canaveral since March 2020, as cruising had been idled since then by the coronavirus pandemic.
