  1. Not only do I refuse to read any hypothetical trip reports done by Lou, but I also refuse to read this thread about Lou not writing trip reports. Sincerely, CKCK...aka CKCK
  2. I'm still scared of Lou. He's a bully...trying to change people's names and what not. Sincerely, CKCK....aka CKCK
  3. Thanks! Both my girls LOVE it. I'm sure your little guy will also! We went to one game this year. It was the usc game so I try to block it out of my mind. We took our TT on its inaugural trip there. Which rv lot are you in? We are cheap and did one on the north side of downtown by the old train station that I nevere knew existed. it was fine, but kind of dead. Go Dawgs!
  4. Thanks! And I'm liking the CK squared. Wish I was smart enough to figure out how to do the little 2. Thanks! I'm pro all of those too! Thanks! Thanks! I enjoyed you reading it! I am also anti-azalea removal. Hopefully they had a good reason. Thanks!
  5. I'm here. I'm late. I'm in. I'm liking the pictures. I'm a fan of many of the things you are, like Mickey's Philharmagic. I'm a fan of Fort pics. I'm mad that I didn't know there was a calliope. That's on my agenda next time. I'm mad that I'm not at The Fort right now. You may now proceed.
  6. Oooh, your trees! Where did they go? Good catch, (pun intended) Bob!
  7. Okay, it's time to put this TR to bed. Here we go. After naps we decided to... go looping, what else? Actually, my first task was to go and get some medicine from the Trading Post. DD2 woke up from her nap with a fever. Doh. We think it started as a little exhaustion combined with maybe a little bit of overheating the day before. Combine all that together, lower the immune system, add in the crazy weather, and we think she just got something. Once she got the medicine (and it wasn't cheap coming from the TP) her fever went down and she felt a little better. She was no better the next day on
  8. All good things must come to an end. I'm not sure if this was a good thing or not, but either way, it's ending! Maybe if I keep drinking margaritas tonight you'll get one...
  9. I know I probably shouldn't even respond, since you won't ever read the response because you don't read TR's. However, maybe someone can relay this info to Lou. If I knew you better I would make a comment about ping pong balls, and brain sizes, and so on...but since I haven't yet met you in person, I'll refrain from that comment. Speaking of not being at my site... I know, I suck. I was really hoping to meet you while we were there. I have to admit, I was a little scared, but I was ready to face my fears. Mark your calendar for June 5-10. We'll be in a full hookup. CKCK...aka...CKCK. How'
  10. I'm asking a question for my wife here, but because I disagree with the question I'm writing it smaller in hopes that no one notices... She was wondering where you found the tea online, because as a tea fan, she is a little obsessed right now. I'm hoping it will be too much money. Thanks for your help in keeping my wife happy with me!
  11. Ok fiends, let's get this going!!!!!!!!!!! I have two homemade jalepeno margaritas in me and I'm ready to trip report! Reporting on a trip. Btw, the margaritas turned out great. I didn't measure anything, just kind of winged it. But to review: Thow some jalepeno slices (no seeds), cucumber, lime (about half a lime-juiced, then throw in for the muddling party), and some squirts of agave nectar (the light kind) in a glass. Muddle that bad boy up. Add ice, tequila, orange liquer, and sweet and sour. Shake that bad boy like you mean it. Personally, I like to strain in because I don't like jun
  12. I'm not the expert on which loop is better, or even which ones back up to water. I will say that nomatter where you are, you're near things. Especially if you have a golf cart (btw, explore all the options of cart rentals to save money)! There are some that are in walking distance of the pool and campfire, but if you have a cart it really doesn't matter. Plus, part of the fun for us being there is driving around in the GC. Hope you have a great time! When in June? We'll be there June 5-10 in a full hookup.
  13. The jalepeno margarita was awesome. They use fresh jalepenos but with no seeds. The bartender told me if they left the seeds in you wouldn't be able to drink it. It was just the right amount of kick from the spice, and the cucumber kind of mellowed it out. My wife was happy, but for some reason never looks happy when I look at her. I can't figure it out... First, Thanks! Second, Glad you agree. Third, Thanks a lot! Finally...Will get on it soon! Now that you mention it I think I remember that thread from "over there." Ridiculous. It's just a simple courteous, do unto others, try to ma
  14. How cool was that? Thanks for posting that! I didn't realize those even existed for young musicians. Super cool. By the way, I'm nosy and wondered where that was being held, so through my powers of deduction and Google, I figured out that it was in St. Charles! Do you live there, or near there? I used to live in St. Louis, have family that live in St. Charles, and have tons of family across in the river in central IL.
  15. Okay, we need some pictures to liven this up. Hold on to your seats, because here they come. We're on Wednesday: Epcot All of the girls went to Akershus for the Princess Breakfast. I don't have any pics of the girls since Apple is in all of them, but I'm sure you can imagine. They ate at 8:15, but the park didn't open until 9:00. So Hector and I came for ropedrop, and immediately went back to Norway to pick up the girls' tickets so we could fastpass Soarin'. We walked all the way back there with empty strollers (the wives couldn't handle all 3). It was fun pushing my stroller 30 feet in f
  16. I'm glad you asked that. I totally forgot to complain about something... When we boarded the boat to leave the MK after Wishes, the boat man told us that since it was a full load we had to fold our strollers up. Bummer. We were just about the last that boarded the boat. Which meant there were no seats, so we were standing. And Hector, my wife, and I all were now carrying sleeping children...AND the folded up strollers. ... Fransesca found an empty seat and was able to hold Apple. There was a man from another country (not sure which) who had asked us if we needed help while we were folding up
  17. Thanks for the comments! And not only do we have frozen drinks and beer, but we also have something from La Cava de Tequila. Woo hoo! Yes, until I figure out how to take better fireworks pics (take a tripod), I'm just going to watch them. Though I can't see me going in the park for them again very soon! I've always wondered if your "Cardinal Nation" was STL or Louisville or something. Go Redbirds!!! I've been a Cardinal fan my entire life. Basically my whole family are fans, and most of them live in south central IL, though there are some in St. Charles. I lived in STL for about 6 year
  18. We tried the Jalepeno Margarita at La Cava on our last trip. It was awesome. I'm going to try to make it this weekend. I'll let you know how it comes out.
  19. Ok, finishing up Wishes... I have to admit, I was totally unprepared to take nighttime castle/fireworks pictures. I should have had a plan on what settings I wanted on my camera, but I didn't. So I was winging it the whole time. I squeaked out a few decent pics, but could/should have had much more. As we were walking down Mainstreet to find a spot to watch the show, we spotted these: What the Fort? Who wears those? And mind you, this was not a 1st grader. This was a straight up teenager. I feel old... We got to see the Magic, Memories, and You. It was hard to see the pics on the caslt
  20. Ok, let's get this thing back on track now and see what other kind of controversy we can stir up!!! We are now to Tuesday...the longest Tuesday ever. We were up bright and early in the AM to get everyone up, showered, and on the boat in time to make MK ropedrop. Did I mention that Hector is 6'8"? That made for some interesting sleeping arrangements in our 26' TT. 3 girls, 3 adults. We made it work, though! I had never seen ropedrop before at the MK, but my wife had told me about it. It was pretty cool. The neatest thing is hearing all the kids freak (and mommies) when the train comes in,
  21. Amazing! You had some guts volunteering for that job. Though, what kind of crazy Super just decides to do away with it? WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Thank you for keeping it going. I'm sure those kids were grateful to you for that.
  22. Interesting thought. You think to keep them from flying down, or somehow to keep them off of the roof?
  23. Now for this heated Tea/GAG debate that I has been stirred up: You all make valid points. I appreciate your input. I totally see Bob's point of view and agree with that as well. The ladies did come back happy. So, Bob gets a point for making a good argument, and I definitely vote for him for mayor. However, left over GAG and beer is cheaper than hoity toity tea and scones. All arguments aside, it's my trip report, so I have the final say. And I say GAG and Beer win!!! CKCK & the guys (and Stef): 1 Girls: 0 Bob: 1 (because he made a good point and a funny tea party joke)
