The heat! I'm working on scheduling a winter camping trip now. We stopped by on July 3rd for the parade, I'm going to post a TR in the morning.

Wow, just read the report and now I'm hungry! Ya'll did some cooking! I liked your parade pictures from the starting point and all your others. I guess you like Jiko, it sounded like you've been before? I've always wanted to try it. On a side note, I saw Genia mentioned the cigar place near Raglan Road. I'm a big fan of having a pint and the live music at Raglan Road, I'm not sure of the schedule anymore but last year it was always good! If anyone hasn't been you should check it out, they even have a step dancer. Thanks for posting the TR! WBI

I don't know anything about them but I did see them before Thanksgiving last year. I remember looking at their site a few times because they weren't there the whole trip. It had been a while since someone had cleaned off the motor home and site cause it was covered in pine needles and leaves, to the point that it was very noticeable. I thought that was strange that someone would pay for a site and not be there for a few days. I can't believe they are still there now! WBI

I agree this is much different than they normally do for the Vacation Clubs Villas. If it didn't have its own access I would assume its just another building for the hotel, but since it does I don't think there is any doubt. I hope your right about incorporating River Country, but out of curiosity do they allow people at the regular resort to use the Vacation Club facilities? They are definitely squeezing it in aren't they? They don't fill in part of Seven Seas Lagoon very often! WBI

I'm still here too! Thanks for another installement on a slow Friday. Did the old wilderness swamp trail look like it had seen any traffic lately? I guess your not going to the Fort this weekend, are your passes blacked out all of July? The camping princess and I just bought Annual Passes, last year we kept putting it off and ended up buying two 3-day passes. This year we figure we'll probalby go more than 6 days so we pulled the trigger and got the Annual Passes!! We might even try them out on Sunday, MK is open till 3am. :) WBI

Hey everyone, I thought I had posted about this before but I can't find it?? Either way I saw today that they slightly modified the plan for the Grand Floridian so I thought I'd post it for everyone to see. Grand Floridian Plans If you haven't seen this before, it looks like they are adding a Vacation Club building and a lot more parking. This new revision increased the amount of lake they are filling in by half an acre. Other than that nothing to exciting. WBI

Glad it turned out to be a non-event so you could keep exploring! Another great report! I don't know this for a fact but I think the weir (or dam) is there to seperate two drainage basins, with the canal being on the downstream side. If I remember right the water elevation in Bay Lake is usually at least a foot higher than the water elevation in the canal. So if they opened the weir they would drain Bay Lake, at least until the two basins equalized. When they pump the water from the canal (lower basin) into Bay Lake they are short ciruiting the system to keep the lake water levels up. So

Haha that could be it, because now that I think about it I never heard of an Irish carbomb or Snakebite when I lived in Louisiana, I frequented places that sound more like Gainesville places. I discovered the fancy beers when I moved to Naples, when I was 23. If you've ever been to Naples you know there is plenty of fancy (read overpriced) places to get drinks. WBI

TCD are you kidding?? Well if not an Irish Car Bomb is when you take half a pint of Guinness and drop a shot of irish cream (that also has irish whiskey on it) into the pint and chug the whole thing. Uh not that I ever tried something like that, haha. Haha I don't blame you for avoiding peppermint Schnapps! I never heard of a Snakebite like that but I often get a Snakebite from an English Pub, its half beer and half cider, usually Strongbow, very good! Does this post make me sound like I drink a lot? Very good quick trip report by the way! WBI

I agree! This doesn't make any sense to me, aren't these just two value rooms put together? I think you can book two rooms at the Pop cheaper than that?

Hey Lou, I have a story about something like this. A few years ago I was in Orlando for a training, after class one afternoon I went to the Boardwalk to kill some time. Well as I was leaving walking back towards the main hotel building, there were 4 or 5 Castmembers in front of me, they went through the door, and held it open for me, I said thank you and kept walking. Then I realized I was behind the scenes. The CMs kept going and didn't pay any attention to me. So I pretended to know where I was going and wandered around two different floors inside the BW resort! I was looking all around

I've had breakfast there a few times and always had a great expereince. I think its actually one of my favorite breakfast buffets on property. Once at Cape May Buffet I had a service problem just like the reviewer did, but after waiting for 10 min, we gave up and started eating, of course the waitress blamed the hostest...

Hey you got me beat by a month, I'm June 1981. Happy Birthday by the way! (I'm assuming you already had it) How are you taking this big 0 birthday? I actually stayed in the 80's section at the Pop when we were there for Expedition Everest. When we stay in a Value resort I think Pop is way better than the Allstars.

Wow, I never noticed that or knew that about the rules. So if its and actual current flag they treat it as a registered US vessel? But don't they already have to meet a ton of regulations like boat registration, safety, and life preservers? Very interesting.

Hey CDNCruiser! I know this is off topic but I wanted to tell you that I love yalls trip reports you and Carol do. We always follow along and your last two cruise trips looked like loads of fun! Ya'll always look truly happy and like your having a great time with friends. Oh and by the way I'm about to turn 30 and I've already got slightly poopy knees, lol.
