Driving route question
Roller ... aka Ed replied to DebbieT11's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Another vote for Western Way! :parrot: -
Yesterday was spent lying on beds, sitting on toilets, reaching for shelves in cabinets, etc ... and of course think of what Larry's1 we would have to do to make it the 'perfect fit'. 1 If 'Google' can become a verb, then a Larry can be a verb too. Lar?ry [lar-ee] ?noun - a male given name, form of Lawrence, Laurence; ?verb - to modify an RV, usually in an intricate and professional way. :rofl2: http://onlineslangdictionary.com/term/add/larry

Many people will find this hard to understand, but I'm not fond of apple pie. Actually, there are very few fruits that I like after they have been cooked! Pick them ripe off the tree or bush, and I can eat them faster than you can pick them - make a pie or cobbler, and I hope you're hungry ... because it's garbage now as far as my tastes go.

PureTcrazy & Runner bring bad weather to the Fort!
Roller ... aka Ed replied to PureTcrazy...rita's topic in Trip Reports
I've never met Runner - but I do not believe anyone can out-talk The Mayor!! Except for the rain and the doctoring stuff - it sounds like a good time was had by all!! True FortFiends don't need no stinkin' ponchos!! Donnie doesn't post on here much - he saves it for talking in person. You might notice I tend to be talkative here - and I'm more so in person. I may not talk MORE than The Mayor, but I can match him word for word :rofl2: -
I have towed before - just not a 5er. The 5er really is small & light - 29' and aluminum framing, etc. Various forums have people talking about towing with a 1/2 ton series truck and having no problems - other than having to switch off the overdrive in the mountains. Florida doesn't have too many of those. :rofl2: It's about 300 miles to Disney World, and 90% of it's interstate - and that's about all we're going to do other than some 'local' runs. The F150 I'm going to get a look at on Monday is 'supposed' to have the Max Tow pkg - which would give it around 11K towing and more than e

Give me your opinion
Roller ... aka Ed replied to mgsmom's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
600's "Sunny Sage Loop" and yes, they are sunny! :rofl2: I like the 500 loop because it's in between everything and close to the dog park. The "exposed" sites in the 600 loop are the newer expansion. We noticed that the older part of the loop had some nicely shaded sites ... -
Give me your opinion
Roller ... aka Ed replied to mgsmom's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
NOT the 1900 loop! They have a LOT of water - and not the good kind. Between the storms we had on our last trip, they were doing quick repair work on sites in the 1900 loop :rofl2: -
Ed you got to trust me on this one. Mike says to get a F250. I am going to pm you Mike says it was a pleasure talking to you. Now all you gotta do is get the truck and 5er. (After learning what Ed had in mind he said the F150 would do the job) It was great talking to Mike and getting his expertise added to the mix. Monday, I should have a better feel for things when they actually have the truck on the lot. If it isn't what they described, there always more to look at. PureTCrazy is living up to her name about the 5er :rofl2: A 1 ton is WAY more truck than we need - and there won't be any

My turn. I have no real experience towing a 5th wheel camper, so ... We have found one with a GVW of ~8600 lbs. I'm looking at getting a SuperCab F150. All the GVW/GCVW ratings seem to indicate that it's more than enough, BUT. For those with 5er experience, would this be enough, or would we rally HAVE to go with the F230?

Kona Cafe - breakfast
Roller ... aka Ed replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Dining Reviews and Information
I took OldeKoot here for breakfast ... once. We went because we liked Kona so much for dinner. It was like Night & Day :rofl2: Seriously - one of the worst servers we've had at Disney. The BIG Kahuna ... really? I've seen child's plates with more on them. The two 'over easy' could hide the pancakes and french toast. The whole meal was under-whelming in size and taste. I've gotten more and better tasting breakfast at Pop Century's food court. While Kona Dinner is on our Do Again list, Kona Breakfast has made the HELL NO list. -
PureTCrazy & I (and a couple of others) ate at Le Cellier ONCE in 2004. It qualifies as one of the worst meals - and service - we have received at any Disney Restaurant. (Since then, it has been beaten out by California Grill as the worst of Disney World.) The Cheese soup that almost everyone raves over - I'd rather eat Cheddar Cheese Soup out of a can. The ONLY thing any of us enjoyed was the Chocolate Moose 'children's' dessert that I ordered.
