  1. If it was left up to OldeKoot (The Momma), this would be the one(s)
  2. Quick! Let me go win lotto! :rofl2: We'll split it ... you get the bus - PureTCrazy & I will get our dream RV and TV! >:D
  3. At that price, Bobby Flay should be running the grill and cooking to order right next to you! :rofl2:
  4. Why was my first though, that a double decker bus would make a great RV ... :rofl2:
  5. We'll keep an eye out - just not actively searching ... and it WON'T be at the RV Dealer in Tallahassee!
  6. We've mainly looked at the Roo and Jayco hybrids. Now we just need to find one with the right features and the right price. If (when) it happens - fine. Otherwise, we're not really in the market - at least for a while.
  7. We found the 'perfect fit' and the deal fell through because of a jackwagon manager at the RV place. Now we are really depressed, and not even in the 'actively looking' market. IF we happen to come across the right one at the right price :rofl2: - otherwise :D Now we are back to looking at hybrids. I was against them because of all the heating/cooling and leak issues I've head about. As long as we do our preventative maintenance, I do see those being a deal breaker ...
  8. I second this suggestion. I have a mega cab and it has plenty of room. With a bed cover, you would have more room to carry stuff in the TV as well. The mega cab will allow your kids to grow without out growing the TV. Not to mention, if you go with a 2500 or 3500 CTD, you allow for those future TT upgrades that will surely come. :rofl2: I vote for this too. It's what PureTCrazy and I have kicked around for 4 adults ...
  9. We see all of you checking out this thread. Ya'll need to register and really get in on the action! :rofl2:
  10. This one isn't hi-jacked ... That story is in the member section. Nudge Nudge Wink Wink. Any of you guest lurkers can follow up on this IF you join the rest of us Fort Fiends! :D
  11. For those that don't have a vehicle, cabs are available and can be at most resorts within 5 minutes. For the Fort, the cabs are staged at TTC. That's one phone number I would put into my cell phone contacts if I were at WDW, just in case. From what I've seen/heard, the cabs aren't cheap - and would be an added cost that wasn't planned on. If Disney was supposed to provide transportation from ALL resorts - one way or another - then I would be more than pissed if I had to pay out of pocket to cover their asses. I'm not that kind of person, but I can see someone turning it into a lawsuit ... B
  12. I got there by driving to EPCOT. The only answer was, "You bus was at Wilderness Lodge". There was no answer to how we were supposed to get there. The internal bus was NOT running - nor assigned to run - at that time of the morning. Not just at The Fort, but at all the Resorts, I have OCCASIONALLY seen the 'black & whites'. We there is really an issue, they are no where to be found - at least it seems that way sometimes. I'm not saying the others are better - just that they WERE better on that particular morning. When I have a tight time slot to be somewhere, I always drive - or give a
  13. Transportation thread moved/started ... sorry :siren:
  14. I'm not sure we're talking WDW transportation in your case. Usually, if the event warrants it, special events use third party buses and not the WDW buses. I have never transported runners to a marathon starting location. Or as I like to call them, crazy people. It may be contracted, but both WDW and 3rd Party buses were delivering to EPCOT that morning (about 5am or so). Here is a clip from the RunDisney site: Walt Disney World? Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA Transportation WALT DISNEY WORLD? Marathon Weekend Transportation has been arranged for WALT DISNEY WORLD? Resort guests. Buses w
  15. If PureTCrazy & I could fine two that would mate up with our Malibu Maxx's, we'd jump on them.

  17. One more point about the buses. Every resort - EXCEPT The Fort - has transportation at those odd hours when runs are scheduled at Disney World. I asked when I checked in; I called the night before; I called EARLY in the morning on the day I was scheduled to do the Marathon weekend 5K. Do you thing I got the right story from any of those contacts - hell no. :argh: Would I have made it on time if we didn't have a car to drive over to EPCOT - hell no! :rofl2: I pay just like any other resort guest at Disney World - I shouldn't get sub-standard service just because I'm at The Fort.
  18. We asked why it was traded it, because it really is in great shape. The people bought it - and traded up to larger because they wanted to haul two Harley's (his & hers). You know they were screwed when they bought it and again when they traded up, so I agree they could have made a deal with us. That just means we won't even use them for all the extras we would pick up over time ...
  19. $%^&* Cheap ass bastards! They would hardly budge on the price. They wanted $21,900 out the door - which puts the bottom line around 20K. We found the same for less than 19K. They wouldn't match - or come close. The difference is enough to be a deal breaker :rofl2: :argh: I guess we'll just keep looking ...
  20. There price/1.35 + tax, tag, etc puts the end result pretty close to the 18% off their sale price. The divide by 1.35 ends up real close to the sale price I'm shooting for, in other words. :rofl2:
  21. I had already figured out that a folding foot rest was a must. Their cart had a huge, custom one - but it was obvious there wasn't enough for any foot rest that didn't fold. We were there close to closing time, so didn't really have time to dicker any - but the saleman admitted they could come off the "sticker" price. We told them we were going to look on the internet for the lowest price around, and he said they 'probably' could match it. So far, we found one 18% lower than their price - and that has to have some wiggle room too :argh: If we can get it for that 18% range AFTER tax, tag, e
  22. We had the potential salesman demonstrate. He said he had only done it a couple of times with other toy haulers, but he didn't seem to have issues ... taking his time. It IS a tight fit, and I would definitely want to practice loading and unloading a good bit to feel comfortable with it. We would have to use a folding rear step for it it fit - a fixed rear step is too much for it (but the ones they had were fairly large ...). I was a member of our local Post until it folded due to lack of membership. Now (and even back then I was) I am a life member of the DAV. No local for that either.
  23. After great gnashing of teeth and dithering over different styles, 'must haves' & 'want to haves', PureTCrazy & I have decided that the Outback 29KBH is the 'perfect fit' for us. We have found a used 2009 and now I'm here wanting input about this camper. Pros, Cons. what-have-yous. Let it fly and hit the fan. Here's the floor plan: p.s. There has been a Cupcake mod to the upper rear bunk. It's no longer a bunk, now it's a shelf so an adult won't knock them self's out trying to get in or out of the lower bunk. There is also a professional job rerouting the bunk light to the head o
