  1. Was "Cuzzin Yuri" there the days rail removal was being executed?
  2. WOW!!! I'm all like :jumpforjoy and  and :worship: and :yay: !!! This is freaking amazing!!!!
  3. Dave - I haven't read all 15 pages of this report but I am certain you had a mahvelous time!! Fear of cruises must be a WNY thing. Like you, I too was scared to death to go on a cruise. Like you, small boats, canoes, rafts, jet skis, okay! Big boat out on the open sea? Not so much. Then I was kinda sorta forced, begged, shamed, into going on a 7 day cruise for the wedding of a good friend's daughter. I was convinced there would not be enough booze on that ship to keep me calm, and to not be "that person" wearing a life-jacket 24/7. I went on Royal Carribbean's "Something" of the Sea. I L
  4. That is the coolest ride in all of Disney World!! No,,,, in all the WORLD!! I want a WED-Way pin! FtWGuy - tell Bobby they need to make a WED-Way pin, would ya?
  5. Monique - why did I know YOU would have the answer to this one??? Truly "Manifique"!! Thank you!
  6. Okay, okay! I'll take the razzing but, there is something relatively current that I just don't know. I thought I read somewhere that internet is now offered at each site......for free!! Is this true? The info said it was included in the CaTV & no special connection was needed. Uh - wouldn't that be cable hookup requiring a modem? I know I'm not as techno-minded as others but, is it possible that each site is now set up for wi-fi?? It's been almost a year since I've camped at the Fort and inquiring minds want to know!
  7. Hi Norm! I had no idea what those things were but I'm awfully glad that little lady won herself a toaster. :thumbsup3: I camped a bit with friends at Four Mile Creek back in the early 70's. I don't remember any amenities at the campsites. You had to go to a communal spigot to fill water jugs and bring them back to your campsite and go to a rather nasty 4 seater outhouse to do your business. No stalls, just seats. Glad to hear the place is still alive and well after all these years.
  8. Does anyone know if you can just get a baked potato and not the entire buffet dinner? We used to love the baked potato bar at the G.F. Snack Cafe.
  9. OMG!! Bacon, Bourbon, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, & Marshmallow. Sensory overload!!!
  10. Ale House makes a Seafood Mac-n-Cheese with shrimp and scallops that's yum-a-lishous, but I bet yours is way more decadent, Monique!!
  11. Ok...so now "begs" the next question....I suppose you will have to buy new mugs each time you visit a resort? Will there be a discount rate to re-RFID an existing mug? I'm thinking about those people who stay at FtW for months at a time and have to re-register every 30 days. Of course, I'm thinking of myself here, too! ETA - I think I've gotten my money's worth out of the lifetime mug but, for the few people left that actually have them, they should honor them. It's not like WDW is paying for the Coke syrup or NesCrape'.
  12. OH NO!! I have heard the following from several different people who work at WDW (neighbors of mine). Saratoga Springs has started micro-chipping their mugs and I was told the Lodge was doing the same thing. We haven't been to any resorts since September and cannot verify this first hand. Anyone have the "411" on this?
  13. Sounds like a good time was had by all, Donnie! Sometimes I really wish I could be in two places at one time. And that's all I'm going to say about that!
  14. Any updates, Lou? I read this in the Sentinal and thought it was so sad. I only get the Friday-Sunday editions so, if they do have any updates I probably won't see it.
  15. If you are at the Fort don't forget to put yer awnings in. Lots of rain + extended awning = ruined awning. We should be in for 2" - 4" of rain today with moderate winds. Batten down yer hatches, put on yer ponchos, and head for a park. If you don't mind being wet you will have the place to yerself!! :jumpforjoy
  16. I can make 3 dozen cupcakes for $8.00 - frosting and all! Probably better, too. I'm sure one of our creative people could make up Snarky on an edible fondant to stick on the top.
  17. If it has an image of Jesus baked into the top, just under the frosting, I could sell it on e-bay and retire! Anyone know how much they were selling these for?
  18. December in Florida is a weatherman's crap shoot. Bring lightweight and heavyweight hoodies, some shorts, tees, & jeans for each person & you'll be fine. Footwear is optional - and don't forget the stinkin' ponchos!! It does rain in December.
  19. I think our Busman mentioned something about them re-paving the road that leads to the Fort?
  20. The sad reality is they will pack the place and have to turn people away. A fool and his money is soon parted.
  21. What Sensei said - although they seem to be going away now - - - I hope!!
  22. That's okay - I've lived in Lakeland almost 10 years now & never heard of the show. You're batting 1000 in my book!! :rofl2: Pam - I'm loving this report! It looks like you had fun despite the weather!!
  23. Great job, Lorna!! LOVE the door decorations! You are sooooooooo crafty (in a good way)!! I'm in!!
