We had reservations at camp wilderness once.  We left home at 8 am on a June morning and drove all day to Charlotte.  We arrived at 4 or 5 pm and checked in, set up the TT and headed for the pool as it was in the 90s and 3 kids had been couped up in the truck all day with only promises of swimming to keep them going.  Pool was closed.  It wasn't 6pm yet.  Hours of daylight left.  I enquired as to the pool closing situation.  Apparently the pool had to close when the amusement park did....or some equally stupid reason.  I got our money back, hitched the trailer back up, and drove to the 5 miles down 77 to the fort Mill koa, where the pool was open until 10....because people like to swim in June.....after 4 o'clock.

We love getting to the park early and getting a bunch of stuff done quick.  But the "Rope drop" is asinine.
 
The turnstiles (or Mickey Band Reader now) provides an excellent access point to the park and allows guests to filter through them and make their way at their own pace (assuming they are not running like jackasses) to their first attraction.
The rope drop, on the other hand, funnels hundreds of people, along with their strollers and wheelchairs and ECV's and everything else, into a tiny area, makes them stand there for half an hour while hundreds more push in behind them, and then force marches them, shoulder to shoulder, at the pace set by the CM's along a narrow pathway chosen by management.  A recipe for disaster. 
 
Now I know what all you kool-aid drinkers will say "If you don't like it don't go."  I will go, because it is the best use of my time and money.  I just think it is a bad idea.

Oh....you never know. The Buckeyes have a few key players on the bench, they are away, and they never have done well as the favorite. We still don't know who the quarterback will be and the most experienced receiver is Braxton "ligaments of glass" Miller. It will be interesting for sure.

I do not know who this "Adam Sandler" is....but it looks like Bobby Boucher is transferring to Georgia. Probably couldn't keep his grades up at SCLSU.

Kidding aside, heart wins football games.  Alabama and Oregon were great teams, but Meyer has an ability to mentally and emotionally put his players in the right place to win the big game.  Tressel could not do that, which is why the Buckeyes got their asses handed to them in 2007 and 2008, and those games were really when all the B1G naysayers got rolling.
 
I don't think the B1G is the greatest or "back" by any means, but I hope we can all look forward to a decade of great football between the SEC and the B1G and hopefully the Pac 12 and Big 12.  With Harbaugh coming to the U of M they are definitely going to be spoilers if not champions in a few years.
 
But it was a good year for The Buckeyes.  No one can dispute the obstacles they overcame in the QB department and the strength of teams they beat at the end to win the championship.  Obviously I am in favor of the playoff system today.  Had we still been in the BCS era, FSU would have played Bama and got beaten by 50 points, and we all would be wondering if the SEC could ever be beaten.

It was the first time I have seen either as well and I felt the same way. The Buckeyes, despite being from the BIG, would smash both of them.....at least the way they played last night. If things hold as they are now, that would be the Rose Bowl, right?
 

I haven't been under a rock, there just hasn't been much to talk about on this thread from my side of the Mason Dixon Line. After the Buckeyes games I have wanted to post a  "Go Buckeyes"   cheer, but have abstained to avoid drawing contempt from the SEC crowd about how they're the best and they have to play all the ranked teams and beat each other up and whine, whine, whine.....

As to ETA...No idea.

Many of the fiends are somewhat apprehensive of the changes coming with FastPass+ and the bracelets that accompany it, mainly because they are old codgers that can't handle change.

I am definately "anti taping of stupid shows at WDW". Now I have not been there when a stupid show is being taped but it seems to me that I, or any other working slob, have paid good money to go to the MK and walk where ever my Disney loving heart desires. I don't need to be walking down Main Street and have my progress impeded so that some no talent hack can walk without having me in their precious way. There are enough foreigners doing that already. And if I want to go on the train station platform and get a picture, I should be able to do that. That is what I paid my hard earned cash to do. Has Disney decreased the price of my ticket that day to compensate me for my lost access to the park? Not likely. .
