You've gotten bad advice from all involved, so I will be the voice of reason here and set you straight.
    Go both times.
I know, you're probably thinking to yourself "I can't afford to go both times". Well, phooey. Ontario has a lottery, doesn't it? And even if that doesn't pan out, there's always selling plasma. However you come up with the money, you may as well book both trips. Cause it sounds to me like you are leaning toward February, and I GUAR-AN-TEE you that after your Feb trip you won't even be back across the Canadian border and you'll be online booking an October trip.
    I speak from experience.

Wow. I didn't know I could be shocked even more than I was already at PSU.
Obviously the victims are the most important thing here.
That being said, the NCAA may not be able to do anything about this according to reports today on ESPN. It seems completely wrong that programs can be penalized for players getting some extra cash or free tattoos but a program/athletic department/university may not be in any trouble with the NCAA as a member school when they basically allowed a child molester to not only get away with previous trangressions but allow the criminal to continue in a position to commit further crimes against children.
Watching Jay Paterno try to explain things away now disgusts me further. I love football, but I get the feeling that PSU treated football and Joe Paterno like God. Watching Jay Paterno describe this as an "episode" in his fathers life and try to downplay is callous at best.
Obviously I mean no offense to current players, coaches, fans, etc. The people involved in this shoudl be held accountable. I don't think the death penalty should be off the table for the PSU football program right now. Allow the players to transfer to other schools without having to sit a year though if it comes to that, because they were not at fault. The PSU football program needs to be made an example to all of athletics at all levels and institutions of higher learning.
    Ok. Off my soapbox now.

AC in A2......Aaron reacted to photogal06...Sommer in Dancing in Style---a Polynesian trip report, June 24-30, 2012
I hope it’s ok for a new fiend to post a TR! I apologize in advance to those who are not fans of photos. I take photos. A lot of photos. And though I’m usually nervous about sharing them, because I have an ugly perfectionist streak, I’m trying to let go of that and view photography as an art, not a science. That is really, really hard for me, so this is my therapy. If you hate my photos, don’t tell me. Also, I’ve never done a trip report before, so if you hate my trip report, don’t tell me.
I also apologize in advance to those looking for a Fort fix. You will not find one here! Though we normally stay at the Fort in our 30ish-foot geriatric motorhome when we head to Disney, we had a different opportunity this year, and we decided to take it. This is a photo of our ugly old vintage motorhome the last time we were at Disney, October 2011:

Now put it out of your mind, because that’s not what this trip was about. Here, from our last trip, are our two canine lunkheads, who had to stay home this trip:

I will not show you the photo of dd and me bawling as we said goodbye to them for this trip…we are not pretty when we cry. I do believe the dogs had as good a vacation as we did though, because we have the most fantabulous dog sitter in the world, who comes 4x/day and plays with them for hours. She also brought her dog with her when she came, and it was a big dog party. Frankly, they had it better than they do when we’re at home.
Now, on with the trip. Dd dances at two different studios, and one of the owners of one of the studios is as big a Disney freak as we are (who knew?!) She decided to take the girls to dance at Disney World and set it up through a travel agency that does this sort of thing. (Note to self….why didn’t you think of this….these people are getting freaking rich off dance moms like you!!!) Of course we were “in,” the minute we heard about it. Dd has been going to Disney World since she was 2; she’s been dancing since she was 5; combining the two was a dream come true. So after 9 months of eager anticipation, we were one of dozens of groups of dancers from around the world who converged on Magic Kingdom and DHS the last week of June.
We were told early on that we had to stay in one of 3 Disney hotels in order to participate. I came to suspect much later on that that wasn’t true. However, at the time we did what we were told, kissed goodbye the idea of staying at the Fort and taking the dogs, and set out to choose a hotel. Our options were All-Star Music (where nearly everyone else was staying…no thanks), Port Orleans Riverside (gave it some thought but the theming isn’t really our style), or the Polynesian (cha-ching!!!) This was going to be a trip of firsts…..our first time at the Poly and our first time making the trip in a car rather than the motorhome….so we truly made it a trip of firsts and decided to do many, many things that we’d never done before.
More to come later, if people are interested......

When we lost our first border collie Maggie suddenly (almost 6 years ago) Brian and I dealt with it very differently.
We were both in shock for quite a while as she was only 6 and it came completely out of the blue (vet error during routine surgery). For a while neither of us could even believe it.
To this day Brian can hardly even say her name without tearing up.
However for me it helped to talk about her and tell all the great Maggie stories. She was such a character, and as our first border collie, taught us a LOT and made us laugh every day. She's also the reason we got involved in rescue, and for that we'll always be grateful to her. As it happens, right now I'm wearing the rescue t-shirt her portrait is on! :)

    Liz,
I don't camp, I don't jet ski, hardly ever go to the parks, I'm not all that crazy about WDW restaurants. and I don't particularly like most campers, especially the ones on here. So I will be of no use to you at all.
And don't get so excited about coming to WDW. It's not what it's cracked up to be.
Other than that, welcome and let's get that post count past one.

I have to get up early at the Fort and just step outside and enjoy the peace and quiet of a Fort morning if nothing else. Coffee in the morning at the Fort.....doesn't really get any better. Of course I haven't tried the punch yet.

Where am I? I have this thing, which I realize most of you can't relate to, called a job.
Anyway, I will be doing the Tri-fecta, COP, IASW, and the EWP, all in one night with a Fiend, but that Fiend paid big bucks to FHF to watch me being tortured.
And in case you think I secretly like those attractions, no, I do not.
They're all way over do for either an extreme make over or the demolition ball.
To spend a couple of hours with me, but it's ok, Mike was there.
