Add us to the list of those who are glad to see that you are OK. Everything else is just "stuff" and can, eventually, one way or another, be replaced or repaired. I can't tell you how many trailer/RV crashes I've seen in the past 24 years while working I-80 in the mountains of central PA. I too would assume yours is totalled just from what it went through and what I can see of the damage. That said, it held together remarkably well. I've seen many removed from the roadway with a front loader! Best of luck with the insurance people. I'm betting that this trailer never sees the road again.

How 'bout the rules for what is actually allowed as a" cart"? We followed the rules and left the Rhino at home. Paid hundreds to rent a cart. The neighbors are running a Rhino. I've passed a decorated Kawasaki Mule more than once. I've seen every make and model of utility vehicle made, but I didn't bring mine because they're not allowed. I want my cart rental money back...

Don't know if it's the front of your van, but I see it a lot out the back window of my truck. It appears to get smaller as it slowly falls back...

I realize it's an emergency situation, but I'd be nervous if I lived in a tornado-prone area that in fact had just been wiped out by a tornado, and FEMA was creating entire neighborhoods out of travel trailers... I think I'd be digging a foxhole right nearby.

DW has always wanted one of the FW throws for the back of the couch in the trailer. Personally, I think the dog will just chew it like he does everything else, but that's what she wants...

We bought a battery operated fan at Wal-Mart. It takes 8 "D" batteries and is about a foot in diameter. I'm actually quite happy with how well it works. If the dog is in the trailer, we leave it on to keep the air circulating. We always stop back during the day, so that should keep him cool enough until we can rectify the problem. That's the plan. We have never actually tested it to see how well it works out, and hopefully we will never have to.

Outside speakers? Our 5er has a dual amp Rockford Fosgate "Rock the Box" system installed. They factory installed 4 speakers on the outside of the trailer. I have never turned the system past "4". I don't think I want to be inside if someone turns it to "10". I really have no idea when you would ever use that much volume. I will apologize in advance just in case my DD6 decides to play with the system and flips the "outside speakers" button. :bugeyes: If you are in the site to our right, just yell and throw someting at us...we'll turn it down. We will be there June 27th - July 9th. Hopefully we get to meet a few fellow fiends... We've been to the fort before, but we're new to this board. Can someone help us out... How do some of you know ahead of time what loop you will be in? We know we'll be in a "premium pet loop" due to bringing the puppy and pulling a fiver that is bigger than my first apartment, but we have no idea which loop we will end up in. Do you request a certain favorite loop and cross your fingers, or do you have a "connection"? :banana:

We switched from a class C to a fiver after our last trip to the fort. The DD's (4 and 6 at the time) chose to sleep on the converted dinette table, which quickly became a real p.i.t.a. If you're going to Rushmore, take the time to stop at the Crazyhorse monument and museum. The monument is still "under constuction" (for lack of a better description) but there is a lot of history in that entire area. I just love exploring around the Hill City SD area...

I was surprised that there was no "fort gear" when we were there 2 years ago. My daughters would love shirts. Also, my wife saw one of the fort throw blankets somewhere, and wants one for our toyhauler. Any idea where I can get my hands on one of those???
