  1. Jack is one of my favorite characters! Yes...I'm excited that he will finally make an appearance! Hey...if not at Halloween... when?
  2. Most Disney shows are at least tolerable. This isn't one of them. If my daughters stop on it while surfing, I make them change it. It's crap.
  3. I think there are a lot more of us "long bed four door dually" owners than Lou wants to admit. And I completely agree... it's what I need to pull the camper, but parking for everyday use can be a huge PITA.
  4. Thanks for the pics. We were at the fort, but EMH at Magic Kingdom until 3a.m., with a 4a.m. bed check, completely negated any chance of me making it to the golf cart parade...
  5. Gwen...was going to check for you last night. Walked out the door, and my BIL met me at the steps with a cold beer. DW says I'm just like Doug..."SQUIRREL!" Just picked the tape measure up off the table again. Ours is 48" square.
  6. Hey! Can somebody please send me...oh...ummmmm.....never mind...
  7. Try Jacksonville North KOA. Just off 95 at exit 1 in Georgia. That's our normal stopping place. Easy off/on 95. We'll be pulling in there the evening of the 23rd (Sunday) then on to the fort Monday morning. About 3.5 hours from there to the fort, depending on traffic.
  8. We did it for my daughter's 7th birthday. She absolutely loved it. I guess that's what counts, huh? That said, it's not referred to as "Bibiddi Bobiddi Broke" for nothing...
  9. We typically make 2 stops headed south from central Pa. DW isn't comfortable pulling the 5er (she can, she'd just rather not) so we "vacation" down and back. No rush. Our first stop is Fayetteville/ Wade KOA off exit 63 in NC. Second stop is Jacksonville North KOA, which is actually off exit 1 of I95 in GA. Both are very clean and easy off/on for I95. We get to both early afternoon. The girls use the pools, I just relax, walk the dog and stretch my legs after driving. Two stops takes a lot of the stress out of our travelling. 2 young daughters and a dog in the back seat can be fine, b
  10. Great pics. Don't know why, but I just love the shows on the castle. They always amaze me. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Apparently me. Errrrrr......I meant...."No one, ma'am. Sorry..."
  12. If all I'm carrying is a .380 (which is rare) it's in a pocket holster in my right front pocket. It would never fall out. If you're carrying a weapon, you have the added responsibility of making certain it is secure. I'm not getting into the debate about carrying/not carrying in the parks. People are very passionate about the whole subject, and I'm not going to waste energy arguing online.
  13. I love surprises like this! This is actually a very good one...going so far as to pack everything up and move! That may be worth bonus points! Our surprise this year is that DD8 and DD10 have no idea that my sister's family, including their two favorite cousins, will be joining us for the 2nd week of our stay. I can't wait to see the reaction when we happen to run into them at the fort! We'll need an update after you get resettled. Let us know everyone's reaction!
  14. Pam...what dates are you booked this year? We're leaving PA on June 21st, we'll be in 500(hopefully) until July 8th. Hope to see youthere!
  15. DW suddenly had the idea last night that we should come to the fort for Halloween this year. 2 trips in one year? She's lost her mind... She jumped right on and checked for space at the fort... NADA...
  16. I firmly believe that a valid permit in your home state should be honored nationwide. In 27 years of law enforcement, there was only one time that I arrested anyone with an out-of-state permit for carrying, and that was because he was using a .50 caliber desert eagle to make his way through traffic in a construction backlog! Apparently things were not moving fast enough for him... The thought process for the guys that worked for me...as long as you didn't commit another firearms related crime, and you had a valid permit from SOMEWHERE, you were OK. Hell...don't do anything stupid, and I'll
  17. Hang one in your bus. Add a mirror ball and you'll have Disney's first rolling disco! Kids... ask your parents what a disco is.....
  18. We use one all the time. The title, aptly enough, is "The Next Exit". Covers all the interstates in the U.S., with listings for businesses, services, and attractions at each exit.
  19. How's the saying go? "Only the government could think you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it on the bottom, and have a longer blanket." Yup...that pretty much explains it...
  20. Hey Lou...Linda says we can come down and I can drive a bus if you can find her a job as a Disney nurse...
  21. I have to agree. If I'm on vacation, my clock isn't even on early enough for morning EMH's. The late hours work great for us. The early ones? Have fun, and take a couple pictures of the sunrise for me. I'm sleeping in...
  22. "I will try to make this as short as possible" Anybody else see the irony here? :wave1:
  23. You know it's bad when the dog poops in the yard and you don't step in it...you trip over it!
