  1. The angel kitty did give us the most laughs. My 16 year old said it reminded him of the movie Gladiator.
  2. Well, now my computer screen is wet from where I licked that mint chocolate chip ice cream.
  3. Watched it. Family consensus was that it was very strange, a little frightening and violent (although not unlike TS movies, especially 1). Not one I would watch again. Seemed to be a giant toy commercial (shocking, I know).
  4. I'm probably not the one to answer, I feed my dog whatever mid-priced dog food is on sale and usually a few scraps of whatever I'm cooking if it's meat, fruit or veggies and a couple of small Milk Bones that I hide in his toy box. What does my dog eat that I don't feed him (if I don't catch him in time): acorns, sticks, grass, magnolia pods, deer poop, newspaper and pencils. And that's just this week. He's a Cojack (corgi/jack russell terrier) and I believe has whatever is even stronger than a cast-iron stomach.
  5. I look forward to this: "In the other part of the deal, another Disney division, Walt Disney Studios, will provide TCM with vintage movies, cartoons, documentaries and episodes of TV series like “Disneyland” and “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” for a periodic programming block on the channel under the banner of “Treasures From the Disney Vault.” "
  6. I just realized you got on the Dream the day my brother and his family got off! This was me. Despite really wanting to go on a cruise the first night on the Dream out of Port Canaveral I couldn't lie down because of the rocking motion of the ship. I also started inwardly freaking out after the lifeboat drill about not being near land (I also have a fear of heights -- related to needing to be on solid ground) and that kept me awake too. I amuse my children by telling them that as I sat there in bed awake and feeling the rocking motion of the ship I thought of how sailors would go insane
  7. I already said stunning, but I want to say it again. I'd like to print and frame a number of your photos, but I particularly like this one.
  8. I look forward to reading more. In a month we'll be going on our second Disney cruise so this will get me even more excited than I already am. I'll be following the boy in the hoodie especially. He looks like he knows how to have a good time. I love the picture of all 4 on the beach. You can tell they really would like to be in that water if only the weather had cooperated.
  9. I had to take a swipe at the Troll since his rants made me nearly snort my Coke Zero all over my computer. (Seriously, love the rants.)
  10. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the thought process of most little girls who prefer Elsa dresses only goes as far as "she has the light blue sparkly dress." Leave the personality analysis to the grownups, and Trolls.
  11. Do I need to have a DD? It was a sad day for me when my sons decided they were too old for Legos. I'm not sure how that works since I'm not too old for them.
  12. Wonderful family pictures! I sometimes worry that Mrs. TCD doesn't get to do anything fun like the rest of you so it's nice to see her joining you on this trip and it looks like she's having a good time. I couldn't imagine my husband going to WDW with my boys without me, but that may be a factor of living so far away. The dance party looks like fun and it's nice to see some different characters. Imagine, Disney movies existed before Anna, Elsa and Olaf. My Dad was a big Big Al fan.
  13. Your pictures are stunning! So clear I feel like I'm there.
  14. There was a windchill on top of those temps. After that outdoor meal at AK we went to Epcot to see Illuminations, which I'd never seen before. It was pretty empty as all the wimps stayed inside. But, personally, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. I guess that's the difference between "can go to WDW any time we want" visitors and "only get to go to WDW every couple of years" visitors.
  15. Last Thanksgiving week my outfit was short sleeve shirt, jeans, zip sweatshirt or cardigan sweater, waterproof/windproof jacket, hat, gloves. The least during mid-day and the rest added gradually as the sun went down. I was just reminiscing about last Thanksgiving evening eating a turkey dinner outside at Flame Tree BBQ at AK while wearing all of the above. And having a great time!
  16. Adorable picture. Someone looks happy to be on his way. Looking forward to reading/seeing more about your trip.
  17. Wow, just reading that made me want to crawl under the covers and stay inside. Congratulations on finishing. That's awesome!
  18. Intrigued by your picture, I Googled Florida Polytechnic University with my science/engineering/technology interested 10th grade son in mind. I was telling him about it last night and he was interested when I said about 40 miles from WDW. But then he asked "toward the beach?" and I said "no, smack dab in the middle of Florida." Then I said no sports at this point and he wasn't as interested. I'm going to keep an eye on it though. It sounds interesting. And another example of the non-WDW things I learn on this board.
  19. Last year we were at the Fort Sat.-Wed. of Thanksgiving week (never could get that full week reservation in time) in the dreaded 2000 loop and it was crowded but ok. There were some large groups in adjoining campsites with kids running/biking/scootering everywhere. Two little girls were playing in the shower one morning before I got in the other shower, while I was taking my shower, after I got out of my shower and after I walked back to the campsite, did some things and realized I'd left my towel and walked back to the comfort station. I think the shower was their personal waterpark for the
  20. Looking forward to seeing your pictures. I take weird shots sometimes too, especially shapes and colors that catch my eye. But usually I'm the one who later asks why I took that picture. Looks like you had good weather for the drive at least. I hate when you are ready for a vacation to begin and un-vacationlike things happen. Hopefully things improved for you.
  21. There is also the "problem" that I like when I have a reservation and don't like when I'm trying to get one -- if you are doing a "room" only reservation you can cancel any time up to just 5 days before and get your whole deposit back.
  22. Now waiting for the photo of the hat traveling on the highway on the back of a truck.
  23. Thanks for taking that $21.95 for the team. Now I know not to try the Spirit photo. I have enough bad photos of myself. Yet another wonderful benefit of the CP -- meeting all those young people from other countries and becoming friends with them. And kuddos to your daughters for taking advantage of that. I'm sure there are some who just want to hang with people from their own college or state. And, while eating lunch today I read a good review about this book. I think your daughters should get it for you for Christmas. A Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jull Lepore (a Harvard professor)
  24. Cool! Wish I were there right now (with the water filled in).
