Am I the only one who opened this thread expecting to see a photo of an oooey gooey cinnamon roll? Got fooled by that one a lot in the past.
Looking forward to reading/seeing your 2017 adventures including any food/drink photos.  I've been on the Dream and Wonder (before refurb) and I liked the Wonder the best.

I had some leftover uncooked butternut squash and some Gala apples that were getting a little soft.  I found this recipe, left out the onions, used garlic powder instead of fresh, used chicken stock instead of vegetable, left out the sage, used 1% milk instead of CashewMilk, and did not garnish. And it was still delicious !
    -----------------------------------------------
Instant Pot Butternut Squash and Apple Soup 8 servings Prep Time   10 mins Cook Time   20 mins   Ingredients 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1 medium yellow onion, chopped {about 1 cup} 2 large cloves fresh garlic, minced 1 medium butternut squash {about 2 pounds} peeled, seeded, and cut into 1 inch cubes 2 Gala apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1 inch chunks 2 cups vegetable stock 1 teaspoon dried sage 1/3 cup CashewMilk sea salt and black pepper, to taste toasted almond slices and paprika, to garnish Press the Saute button and allow the inner pan/liner to heat up. When HOT shows up on the display, add the olive oil.
Add the onion and cook until the onion starts to soften, about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep them from burning.
Add the garlic, stir and cook for one additional minute. Add the butternut squash and cook for another 5 minutes to soften.
Add the vegetable stock, apples, and sage.
Press the Cancel button, stir to combine, and secure the lid. Make sure the knob is in the Sealing position. Press Manual and adjust the time to 10 minutes using the + and – buttons.
When the pot beeps, allow the pressure to release naturally, about 15 minutes. Remove the lid.
Carefully puree the soup with an immersion blender until smooth.
Stir in the CashewMilk. Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed. Ladle the soup into a bowl and garnish with toasted almonds and paprika.

As much as that place gave me a severe headache and the last time we went (2013) it smelled and the games were in poor shape, I still remember the first time I took my kids there and how excited they were and how much fun they had.
    RIP DisneyQuest.

in the 22 years I've lived in Florida I've seen a big reduction in citrus groves.  A friend of mine who has a small grove says it is a constant battle with disease (citrus greening, citrus canker).  The weather is also a negative factor.  In the Disney area, freezes have decimated the groves, especially the big freeze in the late 80's.  The storm damage adds to the problem.  Add to that competition from Brazil and that further lowers the price.

Seals got a reaction from Tri-Circle-D in DCL most preferred by "child free" adults
Anyone click on the link?  The articles says this: "20 percent of adult passengers on Disney cruises are adults without kids along for the journey, and they often go on vacation during the school year, when there's less likely to be an influx of young'uns."   Trying to find the source of the study takes one to a BloombergPursuits article with stories of adults who love DCL cruises starting with this one:
Joanne and Gerald “John” Gerrity, the fifth-generation owners of a kielbasa shop in Nanticoke, Pa., booked their 100th Disney cruise in September. And no—they’re not sailing with young children. For that matter, they’re not sailing with children at all.
Their obsession started in 2000, when a customer told them about the cruise line. They had already taken the kids to Walt Disney World and thought it would be a fun family vacation—their kids were 13 and 14 at the time. But John wasn’t so sure. As Joanne recalls, “He took his pointer finger and shook it at me and went, ‘If I don’t have a good time, this is all your fault.’ ” Much to John’s surprise, they got hooked, sometimes taking their kids along for the ride, but sometimes not.
Now they often leave their kids in charge of the kielbasa shop and book back-to-back sailings, staying on a Disney ship for 20 days or more. “We don’t even care where we go with them anymore. We just open the brochure, book, and go,” said John, 54. “We’d do more if we could get the time off.”
I need to look into kielbasa sales!
It also has this comment "According to the industry website CruiseCritic.com—which is like TripAdvisor for seafarers—Disney Cruise Line gets higher average ratings from passengers without children than from those with them. (The company is immensely popular with both demographics.)"
As one of the comments said:  "This smells like an ad trying to sucker people in."

Here is another treasure I have unearthed in the cleaning and sorting of the basement: my Disney nametag, complete with my “year pin.”
I worked at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center when I was young.
I was stationed, mostly, in the giant geodesic dome, Spaceship Earth.
And there, the whole world passed before my eyes.
It was the beginning of me learning to see people, to marvel over them, to listen to them and to wonder about their stories.
It was the beginning, too, of me learning how to talk to people, how to look them in the eye and answer their questions.
It was the beginning, in many ways, of me becoming a writer.

Seals got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in Is the magic gone?
My kids are older teens now so we were slightly on the backside of the cell phone thing when they were in elementary school and we were going to WDW every year. Plus I was mean -- no phones until 13 and no real smart phones until 16. They did have Ipods but I didn't allow them to use them much outside of the car and house. Some of our best conversations were when we were waiting in lines for rides.  I remember one Spring Break  pretty much finding out everything that had happened to them at school over the past couple of months. All sorts of funny stories. We'd also people watch and talk about what we'd done.  I miss those days.

Seals got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in Breaking: More Magic Kingdom Restaurants Add Booze to Menus
We saw enough people for it to be noticeable to me in Epcot over Labor Day weekend which wasn't any special event. My husband saw a guy fall into the bushes and the woman with him screaming at him "This just isn't funny anymore."  There were a number of people in groups and even moreso than usual rude people they were fueled by drink rude people who thought they owned the pavement and everyone else better get out of their way. I'm not against public drink but I am against public drunk. And, stepping on my soapbox a little, there are 50 million places to go to drink but only one place to go that is WDW parks.  Personally, I'm not in favor of turning the one into the other.

Too bad you guys missed seeing it, it's actually not half bad and it's a real shame that Disney didn't promote it more.
If you get a chance to rent it you should, it has a couple of catchy tunes.....
