While working in DC, I looked into it and the cost of the trip at that time was the same amount I would have incurred driving. Plus with the train leaving at 4PM, you would get out of DC and south MUCH quicker than driving. But after my experience with the regular Amtrack service I decided against it. But it sounds like this would be better. Thaks for the info!

I'm curious how your trip compares to riding Amtrack from Alexandria to Charleston, I'm betting MUCH better. Just knowing the only stop are for crew change and refueling. I'm also curious how CRX prioritizes this train compared to pure passenger Amtrack trains. Amtrack is "suppose" to get priority from CRX, but that dosen't always happen. Can't wait to read more.

Sweetpea, I wish I could rent from Kenny, but: 1. I'm not proof positive on this trip's dates and I don't want to hold up a reservation for him 2. It may end up being a 2-3 day trip, and all the info I've heard about Kenny is that he only rents for a week min. Hell No we don't make more than IL, probably less.......... Just a couple of things to add: If the tickets are purchased at Shades of Green there will be no Fl sales tax included. If purchased at other locations on property, you will incur the sales tax. Once the voucher is received it can be activated at any guest relations, including the lesser used water parks. So if you don't want to stand in long lines at major parks, consider using the smaller venues. This year the rules have been changed that the service member/spouse can purchase only once up to 6 tickets total, so no more multiple purchases of 1-2 tickets at a time. Stef, So happy Jordan is
