We have not been bothered much by bugs when we have been there in June. The biggest complaint I had was all the rain...nearly every day. But it was not enough rain to bring out all the bugs. Just be prepared for rain when you head to the parks....take your ponchos wheth :purpleflam: er the sun is out or not.

Thanks I just got the 20 points too. Does anyone know if all DVD's of the same movie have the same code in them? They must have as I have often bought 2 or 3 of the same movie for gifts but have been able to only get credit for one. I have several codes if some of you want to try them......just let know and I will try and post them.

And I thought 13 people was a lot for a vacation......we have had that many a few times at the Fort and in Dollywood. Yet, we always have a great time and usually my grandkids are much better behaved while on vacation. lol I have thoroughly enjoyed your trip report. Am so glad you all had a great time. -
Welcome to this crazy group of fiends. None of us have much sense but we are a loving, caring group. All except Lou and he makes me say that. You will love being at the Fort and visiting all the free things it has to offer. My husband and our son (who has special needs) often go out for a ride on the monorail and then back to camp. They love doing that. Just go to get the hang of camping and enjoy every minute of it.

Baby/Young Toddler Pop-Up Sleeping Arrangements

I was going to make the same suggestion......put one of the side rails under the cushions of the sofa or dinette. We have traveled with infants as young as 5 months and we have learned all sorts of ways to make a safe bed for them. -
Am waiting to see all the new things......maybe when we are there in December a lot of it will be open. :jumpforjoy

I don't like the smells either. Bothers my allergies. But I have been known  to visit the shop in the Grand Floridian when I go there to get my hair done. I have bought several of the broken pieces of the soaps and I enjoy them. They are cheap that way too. lol Ken stays away from that place too.

I always love the view of the castle as we head down Main Street. And it is one of the last things I look back at on our way out. None of the other parks give me that same feeling. Lou it is good to know you still have a soft spot in that Snarky heart.....lol But I know the real Lou and I can be bought to keep it a secret.

I checked out Craigslist here in Atlanta and could not find a neat Milk Can like the ones all of you found. Help.... -
My first visit to WDW was in 1977 when our youngest daughter was 5, We stayed in the Contemporary Towers (at that time less than $100 per night). We visited River Country and the kids swam in the pools and had a ball. We also visited Discovery Island. I still have pictures somewhere of us there and in one of them I am holding a beautiful parrot in my hands. I miss being able to see the things we saw then. The ticket system was not a good one but at the time was the best they had. I much prefer not having to need tickets today. The Top of the World Club was beautiful and quite fancy.

We camp often at KOA and always enjoy it. We have a membership which saves us 10%. But nothing compares to the Fort. I recently found out we could camp for one whole month at a campground in Pigeon/Forge for $550. Not bad. But we still have to have a car to visit other places while there. We don't at Disney.....except for trips to the grocery store and Wal Mart. -

Let's see: NOT a morning person..am a night person, do not like snakes at all, coffee or really cold iced tea with lemon, dogs over cats any day, love crabs, golf cart (as I have trouble walking long distances right now), I would go with the Vienna Sausages too, would take snow over the beach any day.

We had some made several years ago....ordered from the Disney Store. It had a picture on the front of most of Mickey's friends and then we had "The Hammett-Wheat-Moorer Families...my _________trip to WDW. On each shirt it had the number of trips we had made there. Boy have we added more since then. May have to get some more from somewhere before the Disney Trip if we can afford them.

Even though there is a 24 hour cancellation policy we have had the various dinner shows credit our account if one of us was unable to make the dinner. They have done this for my son and me for MBYBBQ and the HHD. We did not expect them to do it and did not even request it, but it showed up on our credit card.......Disney is great.

rummages/garage sales...
Retired & Tired (Judy) replied to 4mickey2's topic in Budget Board and Disney Discounts
I am doing a huge yard sale April 5, 6 and 7 in Mobile with my middle daughter. We have tons of stuff to get rid of. I tend to hold on to things but when it is time for a yard sale I am able to get rid of those things.....money for a summer trip we hope!
