  1. We have a child who is legally blind but she does enjoy the parades.....most of the characters who are walking come over to her and she can see them. She can see the colors, etc. and loves the music. I know we are always with her and there are adults who do not have a full time care giver but I do agree that at times the ADA pushes a little too far. And then when there is a REAl need to be addressed it is ignored. I do not see the harm in making the websites and menus available to those with limited or no vision. You should try pushing a wheel chair down main street and trying to cross..
  2. I love quilts. I never learned to do them but my middle daughter did. She is smarter than her old mom.
  3. I know we have reservations for December too. Have not heard back from our TA about it yet.
  4. I now have an idea of how to display all my Disney License plates and others I have.
  5. I read on one of the Disney Blogs that the HHDD will be closed for most of December....anyone else read this?
  6. I really did not want one until I saw they were popular when we were there last trip. But I only want one.....maybe I will get one at the CM place when Lou and I have our date. :rofl2: You know me.....I have to have all Disney stuff.
  7. I know I chose "flushed" but I wasn't flushed either. I guess I just moved when everyone else did. :rofl2:
  8. I want a mug too but won't be there til Halloween (hopefully) and then December. Hey Lou........want to shop for a mug for me?
  9. I agree with everyone above.....I will use the coupons for things I need or want. I do not buy something just because I have a coupon. I also share my coupons with family members who might need them. The baby formula coupons are the best so I try to clip them for friends who use baby formula. I need all the baby food coupons I can get. Kimberly can only eat the strained foods as her brain does not allow her to chew. She eats any type applesauce, puddings, ice cream and yogurt too.
  10. They need to monitor more closely the age of the Golf Cart Drivers. My granddaughters always want to drive ours but we have to tell them NO. They know how to drive them because our son has one but we can not let them drive at the Fort. Once I let one of them drive me to the Settlement as my arm was in a sling and one of the CM told me not to let her do it even though I was injured. So I managed to drive with one arm. But no one else even seemed to care if she was driving. So, even if someone can't drive, no one under driving age will be driving ours. Sometimes we have had to move our
  11. We made one with Christmas lights and one that is made with the green wreaths. I also made one with the grape vines.
  12. We always carry our own smores kits...graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, and the sticks. 2 of my granddaughters made more than a dozen on one visit. We ate them for a loooooong time. Thanks MaryAnne for the kits you gave us on our last visit too.
  13. Carol....Jen would make the best Tide fan ever........we would accept her. We love her. :welcrowd:
  14. Yes there is a chuck wagon snack bar at the campfire. You can purchase drinks, popcorn, hot dogs, smores kits, etc. Not sure which Meadows snack bar they are referring to. There is one in the swimming pool area that is open for a few hours each day.
  15. We have been to Graceland and I do not care to go back. I agree that it is much, much smaller than I had expected it to be. The room with the pool table is actually almost ALL pool table. Not sure how all his sidekicks got around the table to play. In fact all of the rooms were very small. When I walked in I actually felt a sadness....it was not a happy place at all. When we visited his birth place in Tupelo, MS. I felt good in that little 3 room shotgun house. There was love there. That is the Elvis I want to remember. He could not handle the fame and fortune that came to him. I h
  16. MLM5 (aka Judy)....Do you really expect to learn from the fiends on this site how NORMAL people prepare for their trips. I do not know of any normal people on this site.......in fact, in our life, we do NOT know what normal is. But I am sure you will get some really interesting replies. :rofl2:
  17. Jen, I love couponing but after I take the time to cut them out, file them in my coupon folder......get to the store.....left coupon folder at home. Now, do I use gas to return home for them....I think not at the price of gas right now. So, I decide to keep the folder in my purse or in my van. Yep...get to the store, changed purses and the only thing I forgot to move was the coupon folder. Next trip I decide the best place for them is in the van. You guessed it......I took his van instead. I give up. :banghead: I have watched the TV shows where these women do extreme couponing......t
  18. We are there for about a month at Christmas and we cover the entire site (+ a little outside the site) with more than 30 large Christmas (mostly Disney blowups), trees, lots of lights, etc. When we are camping July 4th we use a lot of flags, and or course a lot of the red, white and blue fabric. I even decorated our Micky Head Light as Uncle Sam....it was right cute. The more red, white and blue you have the better. Don't worry about being tacky either.......none of us ever worry about something like that. We just do what we like and if someone doesn't like it.....that is their loss.
  19. I was thinking of the area under the bed also. Easy to get into (for you) and then have a lock on it. As mentioned earlier, people stealing want things they can grab and run with. Sad we have to lock up valuables in a place like Disney, isn't it?
  20. I do not like creme brulee.....I do not like creme br ulee..........
  21. Such a sweet pic of Lou and Buddy. Uh Oh, I am giving Lou another bad image. Sorry Lou.
  22. I miss River Country and Discovery Island. Wish they would bring some of it back in someway.
