  1. We enjoyed being in the 400 loop a few times. It wasn't far from the comfort station. :mh1:
  2. Welcome to this crazy but loving group of Fiends.......you will love this site. :welcome2:
  3. Help!!!! So many reds, yellows and blues in the store.......what were the color names of the paint you all used when painting your Mickey Head lights? Thanks.
  4. Yep, they sure do have them. But since she wants to start collecting and wants some to trade....when you have time, check out e-bay (I know a sore subject for some of you) as they often have really cheap pins. This way she can get some of the cheaper ones to trade for the better ones at the parks. I did that for myself and some of the grandkids. My pin case is over flowing now. When I purchase the AP special pins, they offer a surprise pin really cheap (at the parks). I get that one to trade too. Good Luck and enjoy trading. :thewave1:
  5. Great job. Can't wait to get started on ours. Some day soon.
  6. My granddaughter's sweet boyfriend's mother has a good friend who works at WDW. She started out driving the folks from the parking lot to the parks. Then she moved to the AK and worked the Safari. Now she is in the transportation dept. I think she said she is a supervisor. Her name is Cat. I know you probably don't know her Lou but I thought I would ask.
  7. I love the idea of frozen crock pot meals. In fact when heading to the fort having some ready would take up much less room in the freezer than all the meat would take. Ken always buys the large packages of 90% ground beef and makes it into patties and some browned meat to use in Spaghetti Sauce, etc. That way we have it ready to cook in a matter of minutes. We also chop up green and red peppers and freeze them. Since our daughter has a garden it really helps us have vegetables in the freezer. We now have corn, tomatoes (for sauce, etc.), okra, peas, and a few other things. I love vege
  8. I found an old milk can in Mobile last week. It was only $35 and is really heavy. I am so excited. Now i just hope I can get it to look as good as the ones many of you have done.
  9. We had one in our last RV but we took it out and put a small refrigerator in its place. DH tried to use the washer one day but it would only hold 2 or 3 of the items he needed to wash and with medically fragile children and all the bedding and clothing we go through in a day it was not worth it and we needed the space for something else. It is expensive to use the laundromats when we travel but it actually takes less time because I can get more in the larger washers. So I save the quarters all year for our trip to Disney in December-January and a trip somewhere in the summer. :mh1:
  10. :wave1: :welcrowd: Welcome to this crazy site with an even crazier bunch of fiends.....but you will love them all.
  11. When we check in we drive to the site they have assigned us. If DH can not get the trailer and the RV backed in, we call the front desk and suggest other sites. Last December we had to try 3 o4 sites and the CM helping us was wonderful. Ended up in the perfect one right across from the Comfort Station, which we needed. :mh1: :camp1:
  12. I was born and raised in Alabama and have lived in Georgia for almost 18 years and I will NEVER get use to the heat. I hate it. I would love to be in snow 12 months of the year. I know that most of you think I am crazy, and I am, but I am not a happy camper in the heat.
  13. Please everyone at the Fort.....send us some updated information. Thanks and be safe.
  14. If any of the Fiends see people that appear to be the "free loaders" can't we report tham and check to see if anything is done? If nothing is done, we keep reporting until it is. They will eventually get tired ot us and maybe do something about it. When we have visitors, which is not very often, they go through a big deal to get in to see us. They always have our site number and we have already notified the people at the check in booths that we are expecting company. Yet, these other folks just come in any time. :soapbox:
  15. Lou I know why I am still up but why are you up so late. lol I have two new little ones that we had to wait up for.....
  16. Everyone we know who has tried to get into The Lady and Sons restaurant says the line is always tooooo long and impossible to get into.
  17. Thank you so much Lou for the good news on my many inflatables. So glad to see that Disney finally recognizes who I am and who I am friends with. You are too much Lou. Can't wait for our next shopping trip and the Pizzas......love you. :heartsmiley: :mademyday:
  18. It is a challenge to travel with Santa's gifts but ours do not look for gifts. They do not understand Christmas even though we tell them the true meaning all the time. We keep them in the trailer (that we pull behind the RV) until time to go under the tree. Christmas is a great time to be at Disney. We love it.
  19. This is truly worth seeing. The Osbrone lights are something we never miss. Always beautiful. We have never done Mickey's Christmas party as we have heard it is much too crowded and not worth the price.
  20. Actually DH was able to build the flag pole because he could finally get to all his tools and "stuff" that he could not find before we cleaned the garage. Ha!!!!! :purpleflam:
  21. We have probably too many Christmas decorations on our site every year but we love them and will continue to put them up as long as our kids (and us) enjoy them and the people continue to stop and tell us how much they enjoy them. People are always taking pictures of our site. And we have never had any of our neighbors complain but rather they say they love the decorations. It does take a lot of time and effort to get them all up (about 3 days) but it is worth it in the end. :mh1: :fairydust:
