Where in the World??
ependydad...Doug replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Picture of the Day from Disney and Beyond
Yeah. Both were wife's guesses.,. sure, that's it! As I said before- I'm best at this game by giving people clues as to where it isn't. :) -

My son will also be happy. He's a little jealous of sister's Shellie May. -

I feel like I have seen this before. Is this Mission Space? More specifically near where they start talking about the first PCs? -
The plan is: - Vegas for 2 weeks - Back to PA/MD for 2 weeks (flying) - Death Valley for a week - Some beach/Los Angeles for 2 weeks (over Thanksgiving) - Anaheim for 2 weeks - San Diego for 2 weeks (over Christmas) - 4-5 weeks to get to Tampa FL So any ideas for the surrounding areas are most welcome!

Camp equipment/ kitchen

I would have blamed it on all of those time zones you've been traveling through. It's getting confusing. On Monday or Tuesday, we'll make it to Pacific time (Vegas) for 2 weeks. Then we'll fly back home to the east coast for 2 weeks. Once the new year rolls around, we'll make a run back to Florida by February. -

Believe it or not, we carry 2 electric griddles. One like you show for things with liquid in them (a breakfast "casserole" is one of our favorites) and a flat one for things like pancakes. We also carry a crock-pot that wife is thinking of replacing with an Instant Pot (electric pressure cooker). We do use the stove often, but almost never the oven as it heats the camper up too much. -

Camp equipment/ kitchen

I'm the one who has to carry everything into the camper. The more duplicates we have, the less I have to carry! Now, we did buy cheap stuff first and have slowly replaced it with better stuff. But even with the amount of camping we did (each year: 50, 50, 100 nights), I don't think I would change and have ran out to buy good stuff right out of the gate. Now that it is home, it's a different story. -
13 days shouldn't be a problem. We will get there Tuesday sometime, but we'll just setup camp and make dinner and stuff that night. And then we won't do anything the Tuesday that we leave. Is there an Undercover Tourist for DL tickets? Or cheaper way of buying them? Since there are no FP+, I assume we can wait to buy tickets...?

I've heard good about it. In other Disneyland thoughts... we are in Anaheim for 2 weeks, but I'll be working and junk. We will have 2 weekends and a Tuesday to do stuff unless I take off of work. Any thoughts on the # of days of tickets or anything like that during our time there?

Just made reservations for 2 weeks at Anaheim RV Resort in December. Now just need to figure out how to plan our trip to Disneyland. Surprised by extra person fees (family of 4) above the quoted rate ($800) of $84. And then the taxes carried it up and over $1,000. 2 weeks there is the same price as 1 week at the Fort.

For each trip, having someone in a wheelchair seems to be a common theme for my group. It's really not as bad as you might think. -

And now, for some more campground pictures. First, an updated glamour shot of the camper since it was a little dark last night. Panorama of the campers: A panorama of the view: And here's the view behind of the camper: And then, there was this guy... raking? With a piece of fence and railroad timbers...? -

Just to prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks, grilling up dogs for daughter's lunch. Here they are properly oriented. -

We are. We spent the night at 8,000' or something. Better yet, my CPAP kicked off in the middle of the night. I had to setup a new power inverter to finish the night. Fortunately through a series of strange events, I actually had one! But, now down to 4,000 feet, things are much better! I'm still terribly out of shape, but you know... need to get back to that Fiends getting healthy thread. As we have gone west, the sky has gotten darker and darker. I thought I saw the Milky Way when we were in Colorado Springs, but I wasn't positive. It's still looking like just a little band of cloudy- b -

I've done a terrible job keeping anything up to date. We stopped last night at a Walmart in Avon, CO on our way from Colorado Springs to Moab. We had to stop in some little touristy town for fuel and wasn't comfortable with the gas station fitting us. We opted to park the camper at a grocery store and my wife took the truck to fill it up. At our lunch stop, I was disappointed to learn that my new power inverter wasn't man enough to run my TV. Oh well, that wasn't what it was bought for! And then we made it to Moab. The views are amazing. And we had our first dinner cooked on our new -

"Group" reservations
ependydad...Doug replied to ependydad...Doug's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
The ones who want to camp together will. :) Unfortunately, Disney's being its classic Disney self and aren't showing any Premium sites unless you book for at least for 5 days. We have a few folks who want to do 3 or 4 days. But, given the rig sizes (everyone is a fulltiming family with 35-45' setup). So, I assume no one will pick the full hookup or partial hookup sites. -

ependydad...Doug replied to ependydad...Doug's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
With this group, it's akin to herding cats. I certainly don't want to do all of the reservations at once. Heck, I offered to coordinate a photographer and family photos and haven't gotten any input. (annoyed) But, as long as we're on the same loop- that should be sufficient. -
