I'm not sure about others, but the app that you use to do the design was painfully slow. I have up as I really just wanted to play with it and can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wedding Proposal Ideas
ependydad...Doug replied to ependydad...Doug's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Marty- I am trying to find some kind of Disney inspired ring to propose with. That or a pearl- I gave her one when we got married as a gift. The spa treatment is possible, but she's unlikely to go. My younger one, I'll have a note or card or something for him to give her. My older one will be able to keep the secret. I've started wondering about renting tuxes or nice suits and surprising her with a wardrobe change just before the boat ride for son and me. Have daughter wear something fancy. If it is a nice dinner, wife will already be gorgeous - so she won't be out of place. Not sure how to -

Becker, I'm liking this plan a lot. I next need to figure out how to have both kids involved in popping the actual question (and to keep a secret!). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

We are running the 5k together- her, our 10 year old daughter, and me. We'll have someone watching our 2-year old. But, proposing at the race brings me back to not wanting to do it with a crowd. The cruise would be a huge win, it's just not in the cards until we pay off our camper in a few years. We cruised a long time ago (pre-kids) and enjoyed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

They are gone, but our past couple of experiences were that the chicken was coming out seemingly undercooked. Our preference was the chicken, even still. That's a pretty good wrap up. I feel like their veggies served with the dinner are different also. I liked that it had mushrooms. I and my son (2 year old food eating machine) really enjoyed them. Didn't the adults/banana dessert used to be set on fire? We missed that with this trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks! It's definitely not as active as I'd prefer, but it has some useful information (I hope). I have to admit- most of the articles take much longer to write than I ever expect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I like the fireworks cruise - I can swing $300- just not $1k or more. That or the idea of a private dining event at the Grand Floridian. I couldn't bring myself to do it at a park with other people - we're too much of loners to do that. :) We are the people watchers- not watchees. Though, an early morning thing if we let daughter do BBB one last time, could include the castle without the crowds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ok, so the "Favorite Things Your Kids Have Said" thread sent me looking for old stories that I wrote to my family about my daughter. Fortunately I have used GMail for a long time and have actually saved them off in a special "Daughter Stories" folder. Here's one where we tried our first backyard camping before I would commit to taking DD tent camping. I sent this to my Dad back in 2007 (she was about 4 at the time). --- Dude - I never realised how smart I was as a kid -- I viewed you as some kind of superman that could do, build, accomplish anything. I was (and still am) right. I knew w

Ok, here goes... First, a word of warning - the "4-letter" word version of "poop" shall be contained herein. Read on at your own disgust and pleasure... --- really, stop reading if you want --- Ok, here goes. Daughter is now 10 and this was back in 2007, so that would make her all of about 4. We were starting to wind down for the night when darling daughter announced that she was hungry. She was hungry because she didn't eat her dinner, but try telling *her* that. Anyway, I digress (and so quickly) - off she disappeared upstairs. She was gone for a while and awf

It would be the same disaster (possibly worse). My son doesn't haven't sensory issues, but still needed a bit of time to warm up to the place.- 18 replies

We'll be staying at a resort, not the Fort when we come back. She's already told me it's a hoteling + flying trip, not a drive and camp trip (something about the 2-3 days there and back eating into our week trip). Just not sure which- though she does love traveling to the other hotels/the Fort to check them out, so a carriage ride isn't out of the question. The fireworks cruise isn't something that I had heard of before. I'm going to look into it. Mo, I'll look at the link. Dave, laugh out loud funny. Truly got me chuckling. :) -
My wife LOVES Disney. I'll admit- I'm a fan of it but way more of just making her happy. We did our honeymoon in 2001 at WDW and have been back a bunch of times since. We are planning on coming back in February 2015 so that we can run the Princess 5K. It's especially important to her as it is her kickstart into getting into a healthier lifestyle. I'm hoping to piggy back on it and re-propose to her. It unfortunately doesn't coincide with any "special" anniversary numbers (we'll have been married for just shy of 14 years at that point) - but it seems like the perfect storm: Disney and a spe

The Harry P. Nice bridge... I hate that thing. :) It's neither "hairy" nor "nice"! 1 lane each way, straight up, straight down. Generally when I'm headed somewhere, I'm focused on just getting there- I'd rather drive the super slabs than do stop and go with lights and whatnot. -

Yeah, total loss. We had to full break the legs to get it to a small enough size to dispose of it. It was "cheap" in that it didn't have any way of locking the arms or securing the fabric. I have some ideas of what to look for one the next one. And Rennie, it's funny that you got to see it. I'm not used to being caught during my mistakes! :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

We were just there a week or so ago. The food was decent chain-restaurant quality. A bit expensive for what it is, but we expected that being at Downtown Disney and figured we were paying for the experience. There is a play area just inside to the right. My son didn't like the feeling of the "sand"/pebbles and was overwhelmed by everything at first. Daughter enjoyed it. I made the mistake of walking in it in my sandals and picked same out from my toes for hours. Son ultimately loved the decorations and animatronic dinosaurs. I wouldn't want to be in the blue/ice room as the lights were eithe- 18 replies

ependydad...Doug replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
My wife will drive, but only forward. She's expressed an interest in backing/parking the camper, but there was always a reason that she didn't (audience, not enough time, tricky layout, etc.). The campground that we're at (Lake Magic in Clermont/Davenport) is barren of well, pretty much everything. No people, no landscaping, no nothing. As I expected- she parked this dang thing better than I ever have! AND- I suck as a spotter. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
