  1. I had a cassette toilet built into my pop-up. It was nice- you pulled the canister (aka cassette) out and took it to the dump station. I never liked dumping it at a sewer site as I found I'd miss s little at the start of the pour. I know they make portable versions of the same.
  2. What do you plan on "going" into? A cassette toilet? A 5-gallon bucket with a toilet seat? A poop cannon?
  3. That was the experience at our table. However, the table beside of us with a different server were having a hoot of a time. The luck of the draw with servers seems to make or break your experience.
  4. Oh man! We left before the end of the credits. I've stuck around for many movies only to not have anything happen and feel silly so we didn't stick around for this one. Daughter and I enjoyed it.
  5. Visit city hall and they link the one day memory maker to your party ticket. It is $39.99 and works the same as the regular memory maker but only for the date of the party you attend. The cost includes a magic band as well. The "test" has been extended through Dec 28. Sweet, thanks for the info! I'll talk to my wife to see if she's interested.
  6. They were offering a test of a 1day Memory Maker for some of the parties Any idea how I find info about that?
  7. Ok, fair enough. It does look like it'll be outside the timeframe. We'll just go without at the party and buy it for the trip. Thanks, y'all.
  8. Sorry to hijack this thread, but a question about timing. We're going to MVMCP on Dec 18 and then are going back to WDW for a week in February. Is there any way to purchase one Memory Maker and use it for both trips? Can we get away with simply not looking at/downloading any pictures from the night at MVMCP?
  9. Agreed. I'd love to know actual weights- pin weight and overall!
  10. We often camp in PA in late March and early April without electricity. 50-degree days are fairly average. It's a yearly trip that started with my dad and me when I was little. Now that my sister's son and my daughter over 6, they've started going with us. It comes down to layers and enough extra clothes to deal with the inevitable (and seemingly constant) wet kids.
  11. I've taken my kids to TT Orlando in December before. There is some of what you mention, but not enough to be bothersome.
  12. Others will have better recommendations, but I was able to put a 42' fifth wheel on loop 200, site 217. But, the site was on the outside of the loop and the opening pointed to the curve of the road. That loop is site-specific of which will work. Hitched up to my truck, we're 59'-ish. Do you mind sharing more about your 53' camper? I'd love to hear about it!
  13. I'm trying to picture your car... what does this mean "on the deck"? Are you towing it behind your 5th wheel? He's pulling with a tractor trailer truck. The car is literally sideways just behind the cab of the truck and the fifth wheel is behind of that.
  14. Whispering Canyon was fun, but our waiter was very reserved. We did have fun asking for ketchup. I'm not sure I've eaten at the others.
  15. Look at the hardware store for Velcro OneWrap and you likely won't go back to zip ties. :) Love the stuff- I use it for hoses, electrical cords, holding cabinet doors shut, tying my drawers together, you name it! It's a double-sided Velcro that has the hook on one side and loop on the other. You wrap it around and stick it to itself.
  16. We stayed at both Lake Magic and Thousand Trails Orlando (about 2 or 3 miles from each other) this past June. We'll be at Thousand Trails in a couple of weeks for a few days.
  17. Supposedly these Strongback chairs are comfortable; they're just out of my price range: http://www.strongbackchair.com/
  18. For sites that aren't level, you can make rocking chair boards: As for chairs, we hate the classic bag chairs. I find them unsupportive and being (ahem) "hefty", they dig into my legs. We have some bigger ones from Sams Club from something like 20-odd years ago. I haven't seen them for sale since and only have ever saw 1 other camper who had them (this past Labor Day, actually); I chatted them up and they said they can't find them any longer. Otherwise, the zero-gravity chairs from Kohls are very comfortable. We got the oversize ones (again, Mr. Hefty) and they're nice. Wife had Koh
  19. We're 59-60' long (42' fifth wheel, 22' truck) when hitched up. Back in June, we were on site #217. The truck and camper fit. I know we unhitched, but I don't know if I had the truck entirely in front of the camper or if I left the hitch down and backed under the front overhang of the fifth wheel.
  20. Bridges don't normally phase me. It's just this one. Maybe it's just because we did it so early in our towing career/experience. Not sure. Depending on time of day, I will likely do 295 East.
  21. What's the brand/model of that party room? That's really neat. Great pictures, too. :) You're making me quite jealous!
  22. When we did Christmas 2012, we were happy for our winter coats, gloves, and hats. We were also envied by others in lines who said they were Floridians and literally didn't own that stuff. We also found out that if you wait until nightfall, Harry Potter Land in Universal is fairly empty and most rides are short waits (including a couple of roller coasters that literally had no wait). Oh and I don't like butter beer or whatever it was called.
