Spiked!
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to fldisneymommyto2's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
"If" I should ever get "spiked" I would build a shadow box and hang it in the middle of our Disney pictures. Add pictures from your trip to the Fort and maybe a pin or two.Cool conversation starter!! Or I could incorporate it into the train set My Dad is building with the boys in the garage, nah I wanna see it! Good luck coming up with an idea! Loretta -
At the risk of a major Hijack - Cloth diapers
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to Just Whipperwhirl's topic in Camping for Kids
When my fist was born I did the cloth thing for a while. I probably could have continued if there was a diaper service around. Then with 5 in diapers we never did the cloth thing. Changing time was hard enough without adding cleaning diapers out first. I know you are looking to save money, but a diaper service may be an option. You only have to flush the solids and that's it. The bags and pails they provide do a pretty good job of keeping odor down and you are saving the Earth too. I believe the cost is a wash when you compare it to the landfill fillers. And yes the cloth make great cl -

1900 Park Fare

We loved it. Had dinner there a few years ago. First ADR we made for this trip in Oct. For us though the character interaction is most important followed by a good meal. -
Children with autism
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to Keylime359's topic in Camping with DisAbilities
I agree the coding makes ALL the difference. Psychological, hard to put a true meaning or cause. Show them the medical proof i.e. seizure activity you have the "proof" that something "medical" is going on. It is terrible but that is how many insurances work. Once the diagnosis is made can you apply for one of the Medicaid programs available there? They are hard to get approval, but with persistence you may be able to get her qualified on the need bases. Again, if you ever need an ear to listen, just call!! Loretta -
2011 Food & Wine Festival
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
What is the beer around the World? DH might be interested, me too...if we can share. I wouldnt last very long. :rofl2:  -
I like it too for the same reasons. If we were able to stay longer, or more often it wouldn't be worth it, but for a week, for now we do. Once we have to pay adult rates for the kids it won't be an option anymore, too expensive. We enjoy the visiting the resorts and dining in the different locations. An dI agree...I don't have to cook!

I have been looking at the do-it-yourself Mickey Head tie-die shirts. I think that will be a fun afternoon this summer. Does anyone remember the Halloween design Rog did a few years ago? I have it on my other laptop. Loved it. Didn't get around to making it.

Hey neighbor, we are nextdoor in K-ville! Can't wait to read the TR. We have 5 months until we return to the Fort. Fort fix in need. -
Love love love the pictures. My husband never understood why I stop and take a picture of the moss growing on a stump or an old fence, then I put them in a photo show. They are a wonderful perspective! Thanks for sharing and welcome!!

Stink Bugs
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to dngtrumps's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
STINK BUGS SUCK!!!! :argh: Not a darn thing you can do to get rid of them either. We had them up in Allentown PA and for the first few years here in NC we were stink bug free.....now they are everywhere!!! Nothing kills them and they are starting to research the damage they are doing on the local agricultural industry. I don't smell them, but my kids swear they do. Flush flush flush!! :flush: the stink bugs! -

February 2011 Trip Report From TCD
Momoffive aka Loretta replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Join the fun, Halloween 2011 will be great!! We haven't been back to the fort since Halloween '08. Looking forward to meeting so many fiends!! Meeting up with TCD too would be wonderful. It was because of one of you TR long ago that my girls and I woke very early one morning to make it to the stables. The girls went in their PJs. We got to see so much of the prep and care for the horses. We had a great morning! Thanks for the video link of the train. Brought back wonderful memories of camping at the Fort when I was a kid. So enjoying your TR!! -
When is it? We're headed home for my nephews graduation June 17 then headed to the shore for a couple days before heading up to Bethlehem PA for the rest of the week.
