One possible option I've seen other do is to have an additional hitch receiver installed on the front of their truck.  It is much easier to maneuver the trailer in this manner, especially if visibility is a problem.  The dolly options I've seen are pretty expensive and I've seen mixed reviews.  I think it would depend on the surface on which you'd be moving the trailer.

This was our preferred mode of transportation.  We never took it to Disney though.  Believe it or not it is the easiest stroller to control!  It does come in a 5 seater but not until after we got this one.  This was taken the day before I sold it to Triplet plus 1 Mom in GA. It was my sanity what allowed me to get out of the house alone with just the kids...even grocery shopping.  Push kiddos pull shopping cart.
The "new rules"  are common sense for the sensless!

Ok, I am in the minority.  My husband and I just did this tour in November and we LOVED it!!  He was always afraid of it taking away the magic.  I specifically planned that trip to do things we don't get to do when we have the kids with us.  I see it a different way.  I see how much more thought has gone into the creation and development of WDW.  The tour is about 6 hours.  It did include lunch.  If the "adult" in your party is one mature enough to see and appreciate the "engineering" parts, than I say go for it.  It was amazing.  Again I loved it and now I have some really cool Cliff Clavin facts to share with anyone who would like to hear.

    Ken,
If I am not mistaken, you can only order once every 6 months per address.
Go to Disney site.  Scroll to the bottom, on the right look for Order Custom Maps follow the directions
You will probably have to sign in.  I tried to attach the link but I couldn't,.  edit to give more directions
    Hope this helps!!

I was one of the first LIKES a few months ago!!! Curt we really had a great time in November and your service is top notch! Looking forward to February! I have shared on FB several times but now I feel like I am letting the secret of the Fort out of the bag. If we turn too many people into Fort Lovers it will be that much harder to get reservations.

Ok I have to figure out how to get my pics off my phone. The best ones are MPR so unless I get the OK they stay there. LOL
I have to start my TR on Wednesday evening. I work 15.5 hour shifts so it was a looong night. Wednesday night was my TGIF!!! Thank goodness it was a light night and my charting was done before bed. Had lots of errands to run and got everything in except a nap!!
Planned to leave at 7 PM to pick up fiend #1 Marty in SC.....at Waffle House. On record that was her idea! As soon as she suggested it, weeks earlier, I decided I wanted a Belgian Waffle with strawberries and a cup of coffee. Well Waffle House is NOT the place for that!
Like Marty said I was early, she was early and we were only minutes apart. We got to the WH almost an hour early. I got to meet Big John and all 4 of Marty's handsome boys. Tall handsome boys!
After a very disappointing pre-travel breakfast we were off to Columbia to meet Fiend 2. Pretty much non stop chat all the way there. Marty got the pleasure of driving with me at night...a very rare occurrence.
A brief shopping stop in Wallie World for some extras for the ride and we were only a few miles from the train station.
Plenty of parking. Backed into a spot and within a couple of minutes we noticed "the car" How did we know it was her? Well the stickers on the back windows of course. KFK was in the lot!!!
We all met in the parking lot at almost 12.15 AM!!! Long lost friends!
I'll end this with saying it is torture counting down 90 minutes in a cold train station in the middle of the night! but great with new friends!

Not sure if you all have taken the "Thumbs up for Lane" picture yet, but wanted to encourage you to if you had not. One of the things that seems to help the families who have been through a loss is seeing others remember that person. A simple gesture like the picture will mean so much to the family.

FortFiends gets a HUGE plug on the www radio and you get to ask all the questions. I cleared this with Jen first and she said go for it. Jen if you want to do the Fort Fiend history or have someone do it for you let me know. The show is world wide, but mostly right here in the USA!!! Start thinking of any questions. Open forum that night. Our site, I guess we can call it the mini FF 3G Ghost Grand Gathering! Call in from home and talk to your fellow FF. Hey Lou skeptics too!!

Momoffive aka Loretta reacted to Momof6....aka Marty in Crockpot Freezer Meals
Ok, I mentioned this on the "What's for Dinner?" thread and was encouraged to start a new thread.
The other day, i was wasting time on Pinterest, as saw the idea of Crockpot freezer meals. The idea similar to Once a Month cooking, but MUCH easier.
You put all the ingredients for crockpot meal in a ziplock bag, all chopped and prepped, and freeze it. Then, when you want tthat meal, you just pull that bag out of the freezer, and dump the contents in the crockpot. Some people don't like to put frozen food in the crockpot, so they put the bag in the fridge the night before. Others, who are fine with putting frozen food in the crockpot, just run the "zipped" bag under the faucet to loosen the contents before dumping the contents in the crockpot that morning.
Here is a link to my Pinterest page, where you can click on links to the various blogs with recipes.http://pinterest.com/momofsixinsc/
The bloggers I have found just pick out a few meals, shop for them, and then prep those meals and eat them that week (or two weeks). They can prep 10 meals in a short of time and only have to do clean-up once.
I plan to do it differently. I have to shop the sales, so i can't decide that tomorrow i will buy beef roasts, chicken, and a pork roast. Instead, i will look at the sale flyers (most available now on-line!) and decide what protein to buy this week. (Since that is usually the biggest budget drainer). This week, Publix has boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $2.99/lb. That's a bit more than I like to spend, but prices are going up.
Anyway, i will buy a few trays of chicken breasts and prep a few chicken meals. Hopefully, next week someone will have some beef or pork roasts on sale and i will get to prep some of those meals. Then, we can have a variety of meals, just some older than others, but well preserved in the freezer.
Another tip i learned this week is i can prep things like sweet peppers and then freeze them until they are needed. So I prepped some peppers the other day and will just pull them out this evening when i make pizza.
Anyway, I hope these ideas help someone. If you want me to put the links here to the various blogs that have recipes, just let me know. We could also share reviews of the various recipes.

    Welcome to the Group!
We tent camp every time at the Fort...except our next trip! We have 5 children. What we pack really depends on what we are planning to do. We usually have the meal plan with our tickets so as far as cooking goes we get by with just an electric kettle. This makes our coffee in the morning and the kids get oatmeal everyday. You can use it for mac-n-cheese too in a pinch.
The best advice I could give would be to set your tent up in the yard. As you use or finish using it, write that down and store in a bin. Bin is packed and ready to go. Don't forget extra spikes for the tent and do not forget a ground tarp. Carol mentioned a long time ago about using a cheep paint tarp that can easily be trimmed to the size of your tent. When you are finished camping, just roll it up and throw away. The sand at the Fort never goes away if you get it on your tent. Like Carol said, you need a fan and extension cords. Rope lights around the site make it bright enough to be safe yet not too bright. An Easy Up or the like is a good idea.
    Keep us posted: :)

I've been given small gifts, been asked for a hug, it was a little boy so I was ok with it. paid compliments for my driving, done high fives, gotten thank you cards, but today was a first.
This really happy and friendly small group got on my bus this morning at CBR when all of a sudden one of them yelled out, lets sing "hail to the bus driver". Which they did. They had a song all prepared hailing, yes, me. It was too funny and I really got a kick out of it. I told them they should have waited until I got them to their destination in one piece.

Alright, I don't want Judy to have a conniption, so I undocked the computer from the network and hacked into the wifi signal from the company next door. What won't I do for my Fiends!! So here ya go....
    Magic Kingdom!!!
Friday November 18th dawned, and it was yet another beautiful day. And not just beautiful, I’m talking sunny, perfect temps, low humidity….in other words, a perfect park day!!!
We had breakfast at the camper, and headed toward the marina around 8:00.

Anna looks SO excited, doesn’t she?

The Settlement was looking spiffy this morning, including the Christmas tree.

We grabbed a cup of crap coffee from Trails End and headed to the MK boat.

Rope drop was at 9, and we were at the gates and met up with my cousin just a few minutes before that.

We got through the turnstiles, thanked him from the bottom of our hearts, and moved inside a bit to watch the rope drop show.

We’d seen rope drop at the other 3 parks, but somehow had never made it to the MK one. Until today, that is!!!
We made our plans for the mad rush. I was taking my 4 older girls to SM to ride right away while INC took Anna toward BTM for fastpasses for when we were done at SM.

Unfortunately, as often happens with us, SM was CLOSED for technical difficulties when we arrived. We couldn’t get FPs for later, as INC had our tickets. We waited a few minutes to see if it opened up, but it wasn’t looking good, so we took off on a mad dash to the other side of the park to ride BTM and Splash Mtn.
The standby time for BTM was 5 minutes, and in reality it wasn’t even that much, so we got on right away.

I've told her before...if you're gonna make those faces, I'm gonna post them.

Afterward, we found INC and Anna at the playground beneath the train station next to Splash Mtn.

Said some hellos, and then we left them again to ride Splash Mtn. This is one of my favorite MK rides, mainly for the music and the theming. We didn’t get too wet!

I then switched places with INC so she could ride BTM, and I took Anna for a leisurely stroll through Frontierland and Liberty Square toward the HM.

Grabbed a pic of the CHH menu. I really like this place, but we never got there to eat on this trip. Next time!!

I took a look at this place next to HM, along the river. It clearly looks like a former attraction, with queues and everything, but for the life of me I can’t remember what it was. Was it used for the riverboat at one time? Something else? Who can help me out here??

You get a good view of BTMRR across the water from here.

By now, INC and the girls had caught up with us. They also only had a 5 minute wait for BTM. That was our experience with the entire day…no crowds! No lines, perfect weather…what more can you ask for??
So at this point we all went to HM together. When they constructed the interactive queue area, I followed it closely online but figured it would be sometime before I got to experience it myself. Wrong! We were going to experience it right now!!

I was pretty impressed. They added some really fun elements. Since there was no line, we didn’t play with everything. I can imagine during busy times this has got to be very cool. I like this concept. The interactive queue at Space Mtn is awesome and really helps pass the time. We got to check out the Pooh queue (hey, I just rhymed!) later in the day, and that looked cool too. I like these changes!
Anna thought the HM was pretty cool…not too scary for her. But she didn’t LOVE it. Anna is all about music. And while the HM ride music is pretty cool, it isn’t the focal point of the ride. But very close to HM there is another ride with music. Infectious music. Music that permeates your mind, wraps it tentacles firmly around your brain stem and doesn’t relinquish control for days, if not weeks.
Yes Lou, I’m referring to Small World!

Back in '06, we were lucky enough to hit Monteagle at around 11pm during a thunder/lightening/buckets of rain storm. Good times.

    Ok this should do it

Attaching the inner tent.  So easy.  The floor is attached to each inner tent.  Each with a screen door or privacy door too.

All attached.  Last step to attach the floor tarp inside.  Hook and loop all around.  This was the hardest part.

Ready to sleep, will easily fit a double air bed in each with room to spare.

    She picked her room!

Matt and my biggest helper!  Plenty of room for him to stand.  Plenty of room to walk around!!  Room for 7 plus.

All packed up and ready to put up anouther day  :D.  The ground tarp is not in the bag.  The poles are in a box.
