You beat me to the post.
I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the passholder survey I got a month or so ago.
The majority of the questions revolved aaround how I felt about the value of my pass, if we got recognized enough and if they did enough for us.
You can probably guess what my answers were like.

So just maybe they listened to people that responded.... see the part above that I bolded

If you do a Google search for Black Friday Instant Pots, the Wal-Mart ad that Jason and Big Kahuna reference comes up.
But in the ad it says pre Black Friday shop now (lots of stores are selling some Black Friday items already), and it lists the prices as $56.69 if you shop on line, or in store only at $49.00.
I clicked on purchase, and it gave me an options to ship to home and would arrive on 11/29,  pick up at store X on 11/29  or AVAILABLE IN STORE NOW.
So took an early lunch and drove over to the closest store to work.
Found 3, 6, and 8 quart models, but no 5?
Got an associate, she took me to the same aisle, said that's all they have, the 5 qt. was a Black Friday ad item and they were not available yet (even though the ad said it was).
She went and got a manager.  Got the same story, it's available on Black Friday only, can't bring any out, corporate made the ad, etc.
I asked if they would give me the 6 qt for the ad price, and she did.
    So I got a 6 qt regularly $79.00 for $49.00.

I'm not affiliated with this group, nor have I used their CentraCare facilities.  I have used Florida Hospital who runs the CentraCare offices and they are top notch.
I was looking into using one of these for my aunt who fell and cut her leg, but she was adamant about going to the ER (she's 99 and pretty set in her ways).

There is a list of insurance they take, and some of them are highlighted saying to check with your provider to see if they do pay for the CentraCare visits.
It's asinine if you think about it, the provider may not allow a payment to one of these facilities, but would cover a much much more expensive visit to an ER (that is probably a FL Hospital one).

WALT DISNEY WORLD REPORTEDLY CONSIDERING SECURITY BYPASS LINE FOR ANNUAL PASSHOLDERS LIKE TSA PRECHECK
For quite a number of years now, the Disney theme parks have been fixing up their security measures and even budgeted more money for safety, but some things may soon be changing. In the past year, Walt Disney World and Disneyland have both changed where their security checkpoints are located in order to make it flow better for everyone. Now, it appears as if WDW is toying with the idea of bringing in a TSA PreCheck-style line for Annual Passholders.

The idea behind this is that Walt Disney World is contemplating something that would be the equivalent of TSA’s Clear or PreCheck line at airports. This would allow Annual Passholders to be able to bypass security or at least go through it in a quicker fashion since they visit the parks more often.
Since the majority of Annual Passholders are those who visit the WDW parks quite frequently, this would make sense as those guests know exactly what can and can’t enter with them. Not only would this speed up the process for them, but it would take more out of the security lines and speed up everything for everyone as well.
For now, this is nothing more than a rumor and something that has neither been confirmed nor denied by Disney. They actually haven’t said anything about it, but it is known that they are always taking steps to advance and improve security at the parks and resorts.

Travisma got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in National Parks Price Increase $$$$$
You may have to pay $70 to visit the Grand Canyon and 16 other national parks
CNN) — The National Park Service proposes more than doubling the entrance fees at 17 popular national parks, including Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Yellowstone, to help pay for infrastructure improvements. Under the agency's proposal, the entrance fee for a private vehicle would jump to $70 during peak season, from its current rate of $25 to $30.   The cost for a motorcycle entering the park could increase to $50, from the current fee of $15 to $25.   The cost for people entering the park on foot or on bike could go to $30, up from the current rate of $10 to $15.   The cost of the annual pass, which permits entrance into all federal lands and parks, would remain at $80.   The proposal would affect the following 17 national parks during the 2018 peak season: Arches Bryce Canyon Canyonlands Denali Glacier Grand Canyon Grand Teton Olympic Sequoia & Kings Canyon Yellowstone Yosemite Zion Acadia Mount Rainier Rocky Mountain Shenandoah Joshua Tree Peak pricing would affect each park's busiest five months for visitors. The National Park Service said the increase would help pay for badly needed improvements, including to roads, bridges, campgrounds, waterlines, bathrooms and other visitor services at the parks. The fee hikes could also boost national park revenue by $70 million per year, it said. "The infrastructure of our national parks is aging and in need of renovation and restoration," Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke said in a statement. Of the 417 national park sites, 118 charge an entrance fee. The National Park service has opened the proposal to public comments for 30 days at its website. The proposal was blasted by the National Parks Conservation Association, a nonpartisan advocacy group. "We should not increase fees to such a degree as to make these places -- protected for all Americans to experience -- unaffordable for some families to visit," the group's president and CEO Theresa Pierno said in a statement. "The solution to our parks' repair needs cannot and should not be largely shouldered by its visitors."   "The administration just proposed a major cut to the National Park Service budget even as parks struggle with billions of dollars in needed repairs," Pierno said. "If the administration wants to support national parks, it needs to walk the walk and work with Congress to address the maintenance backlog." On the National Park Service's Facebook page, some commented that the proposal was reasonable since it was going to improve and maintain the parks. Others lamented that it would price working class people out of making trips that they had saved up for. Entrance fees at several national parks, including Mount Rainer, Grand Teton and Yellowstone, went up in 2015 to their current price. Those fee increases didn't seem to deter visitors. In 2016, National Park Services received a record-breaking 331 million visits, which marked a 7.7% increase over 2015. It was the park service's third consecutive all-time attendance record.   Most popular National Parks in 2016 (59 total) Great Smoky Mountains National Park -- 11,312,786 million visitors Grand Canyon National Park -- 5,969,811 Yosemite National Park -- 5,028,868 Rocky Mountain National Park -- 4,517,585 Zion National Park -- 4,295,127 Yellowstone National Park -- 4,257,177 Olympic National Park -- 3,390,221 Acadia National Park -- 3,303,393 Grand Teton National Park -- 3,270,076 Glacier National Park -- 2,946,681 No mention in this article about the Senior Pass.

Don't want to be back in 7 hours, we had board certified pampered pooch dog walkers/sitters for the low low fee of $30 per hour (minimum 3 hours).

Yes, you have to be certified SCUBA to do Dive Quest, but there is also a Dolphins in Depth tour that you get to get into the water, but don't need SCUBA.
Funny story about my son's Dive Quest experience. The whole trip was a surprise for his high school graduation. About a month before the trip his wallet went missing and had his dive card in it. As we were going around replacing his license and debit card, I had to casually ask what he needed to do to get his dive card replaced. (I had no idea, he took the course and certification from a former girlfriend's dad) He had since broken up with that girlfriend and that was his only way to go diving, so he wasn't too interested in replacing it. I didn't want to spoil the surprise, so I just let it drop after a couple of inquiries thinking I would eat the cost on the Dive Quest.  Fortunately, about a week before the trip his "empty" wallet showed back up. His cash and debit card were gone, but his driver's license and Dive Card were still in there!!!!!
Thank goodness, crisis and surprise averted!!

People that think this is a dangerous/uncomfortable situation need to contact Disney management.
If it's an email, save any receipts or replies.
If it's mailed correspondence save copies.
This way management has been put on notice and if you or a loved one gets injured during this madhouse Disney will be liable.
We can carp and complain all we want, but like TCD says, Disney will let guests suffer until something forces them to make changes. We all speculate that Disney management reads these posts, but that is not a proven given, and doesn't really mean much liability wise.
Just like a dangerous pothole, until the municipality is put on notice that it's there, they have no liability if ruin your vehicle hitting it.
It's a crappy world where organizations just won't do the right thing until they are forced to by a legal action.

We had a horrible site in the 1500 loop as far as water issues (the site itself was great).. It didn't even rain that hard and our tent flooded on 2 different days (even after the Forts fix).  I was out there during the storm using a frisbee to move water out.  I moved so much out of a low lying area I ended up with a hole about 2 feet deep.  What was aggravating is the other pads around us just had very small puddles in a corner, and our entire pad was like a lake.
Next trip I bought a small shovel with me.  We started to get a flood, I dug a small trench over to the retaining wall and dug a hole down to the bottom and all the water flowed underneath and away from the tent.  Never had an issue after that.
For what you spend at the Fort for a site, it should be graded for drainage.
