Just ran across this. Not surprising that Disney is going to change a bunch of menus right now (I still haven't seen anything official about if/how they're going to address buffets), it wouldn't be a stretch to think that also shakes out to the dining plan being put on hold altogether at least for now... And I have a feeling those rules shift based on the resort and time of year. Doesn't surprise me Disney doesn't publish them. They probably don't want people figuring out how to game the system like in the past.

Genetically Modified Mosquitoes?

Agreed. -
Very true. It would be less than finishing the DVC but still not a small expenditure. Rebuilding BYBBQ might be a better option for at least *some* short-term $ without a ton of expense. Yeah, you're not wrong there. Every time the topic of more sites comes up that's pretty much where it leads. I have to think that if sites were packed 7 days a week, and not just during a few holidats, we'd have seen more added by now already. It's mostly a dream for those of us who've repeatedly run into a brick wall trying to get weekend reservations less than 499 days out.

Campsites could work to help bring in $ at least short term vs an empty piece of land. Then if/when they get it started again it wouldn't be a huge deal to bulldoze campsites and resume the original plan (shudder).

I just hope they don't leave it as an unfinished, construction eyesore for 10 years....

A week for a quote right now when every printer in the world is scrambling to make up for lost business... and then you're way overpriced on top of that? Yeah... that's ridiculous. -

Yeah... messing with a functioning (albeit annoying) ecosystem usually doesn't end well. -
Just ran across this from an Orlando restaurant reviewer I follow. This is part one, with general thoughts on DS, the actual restaurant review is coming up next... https://www.scottjosephorlando.com/news/5266-dismal-springs-it-s-going-to-be-a-long-road-to-reopening?fbclid=IwAR2aHdbWJ_43pc8sd6XGnG5qt9o9FP6KGxO66jccR3zdrNcERgZSAUMr1PY

Yep. It's still a heckuva lot cheaper than building your own e-commerce site, but by the time you take off listing fees, selling fees and payment fees, depending on what you're selling you can easily lop off 20%+ of your profits. And the flip side is that if you bump up the price of your item to compensate, you risk pricing yourself out so that people won't buy it.

Love Sticker Mule and when it comes to printing die cut, funky stuff, they've pretty much built their whole business around that. A shame the local guy wasn't an option but yeah, if you're not going to be up front about the fact that you're not doing the job yourself... When it comes to anything I get printed, I want the person I'm buying for to be the one responsible for the quality. I've sat on enough press runs to know I don't want to have to go through a middle man if something goes wonky. -

Can't wait to see how they turned out in person! Who did you end up going with to print them? -
Good point re: fees (ugh). People can see all my stuff on Etsy but I'm happy to handle the transactions outside the store also. I also usually post things to my FB page before they get to Etsy, and folks can feel free to contact me directly for anything that pops up there. Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/Bejinkies-333292143722774/ I'll also start posting here directly as new stuff comes up as well. Thanks for doing this, Jen!

List of Restaurants opening in June

Jason posted official Disney info Saturday on another thread and that list is: -
That would make sense. I'm guessing they may also install additional plexi barriers in front of the food to keep it safe from the general public - and maybe even more so to keep people from just reaching in themselves. 😎 I actually just heard about a local place that had a super popular salad bar. When they reopened, instead of allowing people to help themselves as before, you currently tell your server what you want and they prepare your plate for you.

It doesn't take much to persuade me to play with Snarky artwork! 😎 -
I'm assuming that's until they figure out how to manage people in the club level lounges - especially when it comes to all the food that's typically put out buffet-style.

Ok I'll start. 🙂 I've been selling my crochet stuff in my Etsy store for a while now and just added braided dog leashes a few weeks ago. There are even a few Disney things in the mix. I just did a custom leash and tug toy for our fearless leader about a week ago... And in addition to custom bags, these wee owlies have been pretty popular... Everything can be viewed/purchased through my Etsy store - https://www.etsy.com/shop/Bejinkies

I'm not sure about DVC but I assume with the Fort it's partly because it's super easy to have social distancing there - campsites are easy pease and even the cabins since they're self-contained. Plus there are no enclosed common areas like regular hotel lobbies to have to manage a ton of people in. -
I was wondering how they were going to handle buffets like Trails End. Looks like for the short term at least, they're just not. I wonder if this will result in a major change to Trails End (and other buffets) in the long run? Also wondering what/how Crockett's Tavern is going to work - seating with a limited menu? There's definitely plenty of room to spread out tables inside with the buffet not in operation.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Agreed. I figured this one out the day I went spelunking around the local garden center and spent an hour out in the sun on a warm day (I overheat easily anyway). I've been making cloth masks for family and friends and whenever anyone says they'd like one, I usually send them 2 - mostly thinking if one is in the wash, you still have one available. But with summer coming having a backup may be a good thing in general.
