  1. You're very welcome! Here are a few more that were posted recently... This is one of my favorites...
  2. There have been a few of these but I thought this one was particularly fun.
  3. All that and a bag of chips. I've steered clear of other sites and comments on Disney threads on social media. And I've mostly been ignoring the clickbait. This is a stressful enough time without adding that level of craziness to the mix. Although I admit that every once in a while someone comes up with something really clever and even though I know it's likely crap, I can't resist finding out how they're backing it up. 😎 Unfortunately even if Disney takes out today's equivalent of the "full page ad" and says in big red letters "WE HAVE NO REOPENING DATE PLANNED AT THIS TIME" t
  4. I wouldn't be suprised. Smart of them to make parking free. "Face coverings will be required of all visitors, as will a temperature check upon arrival. If you test 100.4F or higher, you will not be admitted to Universal CityWalk." I'll be curious to see how that works. I'm going to assume the temp check will be at the very far end right by the garage. Otherwise between the heat of FL to begin with, and the hike from the garage to City Walk (unless they get all the moving belts working for a change) I'm pretty sure my temp would be at least that high on a good day in November.
  5. No problem! Disney has already rolled out their supercute line of masks. Let the #DisneyFace hashtags commence... 😎 Especially when they're trying to sell you something.
  6. I'm sure legal departments all over are drafting coronavirus waivers for all kinds of businesses. Heck I'm on the board of an animal rescue group and we're having to come up with one for volunteers that interact with the public. I have to believe that the next wave of class action lawsuit ads on TV will start with, "Did you or someone you love get COVID-19?..."

  9. Toilet paper, sanitizing wipes, bleach, flour, yeast and any kind of meat. Annnnnnnd...... go!
  10. I'm not arguing government mandates in people's individual communities here - that's not what we were even talking about. The mask requirement at Costco or Disney or any other private company is not coming down from the government. As for the whole "stop being a scared sheep who believes the hype" thing... I'm not touching that argument in an internet forum with a 10' socially-distanced pole. People can decide for themselves who/what sources of information they think are credible enough to believe and what level of caution is appropriate for them and their family, and proceed accordingly. And
  11. There have been multiple cases like that at Costco after they implemented their new policy; not to mention the case at a Family Dollar store where a security guard that was shot and killed. All over people being told they needed to wear a mask to shop at a private company. I don't understand why people are losing their damned minds over what amounts to temporary measures intended to keep us all safe, including (and maybe especially) the people showing up to work in these places - which right now amounts to risking your health for the sake of your job. You don't see people flipping ou
  12. That really is the question. Disney M.O. with CMs is for them to NOT confront guests, no matter how bad the behavior and how many other guests it impacts. Either they're going to have to retrain that, or have other CMs in the parks whose jobs it will be to keep people in line. Can't imagine that happening, but then what's the point of opening if it's just a big chaotic mess, and a liability for Disney to boot. If anything, now is the PERFECT time not to care about that kind of badmouthing. Every time I one person squawking online about any kind of health/safety measures right now, i
  13. Those are my favorite! Some people like to pull that one out every time Disney does something they don't like. And yet I'd bet you that $10k they still show up! And if they really don't... well we all know how that equation goes. For every person that decides they're not going to WDW because [insert reason here], 12 more people line up to take their place. In this case given what they saw with Shanghai's reopening and how quickly they "sold out" it may be more like 1200.
  14. I'm going to keep my nice, peaceful Monday morning intact and not read the comments, but based on the craziness I see on social media in general, I can very well imagine what they are. But hey, it's a heckuva lot easier to keep capacity down if a bunch of people take themselves out of the running!

  16. Great question! Definitely a whole other set of things to consider, particular in FL where the weather is a huge factor. There's a proposal on the table up here in Manchester to close a chunk of Elm (the main) street where the biggest concentration of restaurants are to give places expanded outside dining. The proposal actually predates the pandemic - I think they were originally thinking just on the weekends - but it's getting a lot more attention now. EZ ups here would work for shade and rain for a little while (we haven't hit a stretch of highs in the 60s yet), but we had a really l
  17. I expect that will be the case with a lot of restaurants here as well. Some weren't able to adapt to doing a good enough takeout/delivery business to keep that going and temporarily closed. I expect those places may attempt the limited opening - although I don't know how well that will go and I expect some of them just won't make it sadly. It's another case of not just throwing the doors open when you're "allowed to". Even those restaurants doing ok with takeout have learned they have to change SOP. For many that means changing up their menus, usually whittling them down to the most popula

  19. This is a discussion happening right now in NH where the first phase of reopening allows restaurants to open up outside seating areas only on May 18. The second phase still being discussed would open indoor dining areas to open but with major restrictions to the number of people allowed in at one time. Some restaurant owners are saying they may stick with takeout and delivery instead because, while they're staying afloat doing that now (and that's best case) it's simply not profitable for them to open up further under such limited circumstances.
  20. A bunch of weirdly eerie aerial pics of an empty MK and surrounding area... https://wdwnt.com/2020/05/photos-survey-a-fully-empty-park-with-stunning-new-aerial-images-of-magic-kingdom/?fbclid=IwAR2xDSRd_edfzpgQCJiV4oBcYtjsisprhUk1nJ4m0TwtzKh4VeLuik--wJU
  21. Latest I saw today was 7/14. I'll honestly be surprised if WDW and DL are open before the end of the summer.
