  1. For some reason "paid line-jumping" made me think of someone tapping you on the shoulder and whispering "I'll give you a $20 if you let me get in front of you"
  2. Same here Carol. Once upon a time I was all spreadsheets and reservations for everything, but now we do minimal planning and lots of park and resort hopping depending on what we're in the mood to do. We will wait until things are more "normal" and we know we'll be able to enjoy our usual style of touring WDW (or close at least). It's just not worth the trip/expense for us otherwise. Right now for us that most likely means November 2021 will be our next trip. Cross-country in the spring sounds like it could be awesome!!
  3. "I'm sorry sir we have plenty of toilet paper now, but there's not a single-sized bag of Doritos to be found anywhere in the state"
  4. I'm surprised they didn't. They didn't have to fill the place, but even if they'd opened it up to 50% capacity it doesn't seem like it would be too tough to manage the # of people. Around here the state campgrounds are only filling every other site. Some have put their usual activities on hold and have closed their common spaces like arcades, etc. I know of one that's not allowing tenters in so that they don't have to deal with how to keep the bath houses clean throughout the day. It's a family run place without a lot of staff. NH is still only allowing reservations to NH residents and
  5. Keep an eye on this thread from Jason (super sponsor, travel agent and "The Man") - he's been doing a great job keeping us all updated on the latest info re: bookings, tickets, etc. straight from the Mouse's mouth...
  6. I was surprised Hangar Bar fell into that category as they do serve a fair amount food, but I guess they may not sell enough of it.
  7. This was just posted an hour ago... https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/06/26/jock-lindseys-hangar-bar-in-disney-world-forced-to-close-one-day-after-reopening-due-to-floridas-new-executive-order/?fbclid=IwAR3vN57WiiGvUm4tgDSWszi82MPR594bL24yHGDhOGWJeIM5ZjretWG59v4
  8. Safe travels and I hope you have a terrific time!
  9. Posted a couple of hours ago. Not sure how this is going to effect the bars at Disney Springs - to go cups for everyone? https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/06/26/breaking-news-alcohol-consumption-banned-on-premises-at-florida-bars/?fbclid=IwAR36CKTTA62RiZNnYDsMYncdDKYf5eSOzDkpu2r9jNld4fbvVh1GfBhax20
  10. Yep. Not surprised. Maine isn't messing around either. While it's still largely the honor system, if you try and reserve a room or campsite in ME and you're coming from MA, you have to sign a waiver stating you've either quarantined for 14 days or had a negative test within X number of hours (48?). That was the rule for anyone coming into Maine but the most recent order exempted those of us in VT and NH because where we have far fewer cases than MA and other Northeast states.

  12. Ray that stinks. Sorry they wasted so much of your time! I wonder if yesterday was especially crazy because of all the info coming out? Might be worth it to wait a few days until things calm down a bit.
  13. So...does this mean MBs will be going away completely at some point? http://doctordisney.com/2020/06/19/walt-disney-world-discontinuing-complimentary-magicbands-for-resort-guests-in-2021/?fbclid=IwAR1P6SybMuSJYiWZPUNlH_Gahxyt1N1IPNIBoGF06lWpKcIbuc5a7x-DXqM

  15. Very possible although the article said they worked for 2 weeks "while sick". It could be worded badly of course (again consider the source). There's still no actual news article about it, just the WDWNT article and apparently a bunch of social media posts, but those may all stem from there too.
  16. From WDWNT... As mentioned by Vahle in his post, Tri-Circle-D Ranch is set to reopen next Monday on June 22 along with Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The redesigned the Tri-Circle-D Ranch will offer a modern stable and updated outdoor spaces and facilities for “The Happiest Horses on Earth.” Here, we see the tiny, yet mighty baby Violet, a foal that was recently born at the ranch. On the Walt Disney Cast and Community Facebook page, a video was shared showing the newborn foal, Violet,
  17. So much this. It's one thing to decide you're willing to risk your own health. It's another thing entirely to knowingly put other people's health at risk, especially when they're trusting that the measures they've been told have been put in place are being enforced. (sigh)
  18. I really hope the contact was limited and no one else gets sick. Temp checks for sure fall short but if someone is actively sick for 2 weeks, someone they work with should have noticed. Then there's the whole thing of anyone who knows they're sick reporting to work anywhere right now, never mind in a restaurant... (argh) That last bit is exactly why I'm not eager to go anywhere right now. As it is DH has had to work throughout this and just this week they have someone who is out sick awaiting the results of a COVID test. As it happens, she lives with 4 other people that work ther
  19. Putting this in the Rumors Board as so far the only info I've seen on this is coming from WDWNT (and well...) But if it's true, it's pretty disturbing. What happened to health/temperament checks for all employees and not letting people work if they're sick?? https://wdwnt.com/2020/06/employee-at-t-rex-cafe-in-disney-springs-reportedly-tests-positive-for-covid-19/
