  1. It looked good will definitely be going over for it one night, just not after eating such a big meal.
  2. We are not, I repeat we are not morning people. We also do not plan very well, and mostly are go with the flow kinda people. Though we do enjoy the parks we also enjoy the Fort and just being away from home, so our trips to the Fort are a lot of times just to get away. So woke up Saturday morning and it was a beautiful day but already getting hot. we decided to make a run down to camping world to replace the stove vent I lost the flap for. Well wouldnt you know they were sold out "we sold our last 3 this morning" oh well. So we decided to head over to the Poly and Kona Cafe for some lunch. Was
  3. Moving on, had a nice nap and woke up to this What to do now, well we had both been craving steak so we decided to head out to Longhorn steak house. I have no idea how I got there but ended up coming out onto 192 by old town. Had a good dinner (sorry no pictures). I had read on here (cant remember where) about Yehaa Bod, so after dinner we decided to head over to Port Orleans Riverside and check out be going back. And will be trying this the next time. Took a walk around Port Orleans Riverside then headed back to the Fort to call it a night.he show. This was our first time to this resort
  4. WARNING: This will not be a long trip report with lots of pictures, 1. Because we were only there 3 nights, 2. I seem to have forgotten to take pictures of much other then fireworks, 3. We didnt really do anything. Labor Day weekend 8/29-9/1/2014 Woke up Friday 8/29 to rain, luckily I had most everything packed up, hooked up, and ready to go the night before other then a few last minute things to throw in the cars and unplugging the trailer. I always plan to get up and get an early start and figured with it being a holiday weekend it would be better to be to the Fort early and possibly have
  5. Thank you all for the quick replies. I guess that it will all come down to price though Im leaning toward the 3/4 or 1 ton now. Heading out to look at a new 3/4 gmc they have on sale near here today. As this is going to be a long term vehicle I'm kinda nervous of getting a usedtruck with higher miles, and the used with lower miles seem to be very close in price if not more then some of the 2014s they are trying to get rid of around here.
  6. Have been truck shopping, its amazing to me how little most car sales people actually know about the vehicles they sell. So thought I'd ask yall for any tips, advice, or experiences you're willing to share. we have a small tt (3600 dry) 5400 loaded, curently being towed by a 202 GMC Envoy with 120k miles on it, rated at 6500lbs. Unfortunately the Envoy has taken a turn for the worse, so looking to upgrade to a truck. Now comes the hard part, finding a truck the will last and give us room to upgrade to a larger trailer in the future but still be a decent everday vehicle. What I'm looking fo
  7. 3 wheelers make sharper turns but are also eeasier tip over while making the tighter turns. I also always had a fear of my grandma getting the single front tire stuck in the tracks in the MK. It will save a lot of walking in all the parks. I noticed when my grandma used hers that different attractions, different cm, and what you said your ability was for standing and walking all depended on how they got you into the attraction.
  8. As everyone else has said, no you dont absolutely need a golf cart. Especially if youll be in the parks most of the time. If your budget allows and you have a non park day that youll be hanging around the Fort, maybe think about renting one just that day. That way youll be able to loop, explore, visit and I found in June it was a great way to keep my 8yo nephew entertained on our non park day (load up we're going for a ride).
  9. Booked mine yesterday over the phone while trying to add days to this years reservation.
  10. So the one time I've unlocked the stove vent flap ( doubt thats the technical name for it ) while camping of course I forgot to lock it before heading home. So needless to say its somewhere on the side of I-4 or I-75.This happened back on our June trip and noticed it the day after getting home. So I grabbed the closest thing to me (a clean pair of board shorts that had just been unpacked) rolled them up and put them in there sealing it up. Skip ahead to today, down working on the trailer getting ready to head to the fort on Friday and notice something blue. Oh the shorts! My question being
  11. Glad you were able to get it for the days you'll be there. I keep calling to see if I can get it applied to our labor day weekend reservation. Was told today that weekend is eligible for the discount and to continue calling to check. The CM I talked to today said to even call just before we check in, incase there are day of cancelations.
  12. This might be old news but was just on the Disney website and saw this. 20% off campsites most nights for Florida residents till September 27th if booked before September 24th. I looked to see if anything would come up and it showed 68.00 for a premium site for the weekend of the 5th. Just a heads up for any Florida people who may want to make a quick trip in September. Unfortunately it's not showing any availability for labor day weekend.
  13. They took about 4 days to a week. I only worked on them in the evening watching tv usually no more then an 1 or 2 distracted hrs a day. If one was organized, bags cut, chained together, nicely rolled, solid idea in your head, not easily distracted (not me) maybe 6-8hrs maybe less.
  14. I saw that wasnt sure about hijacking that with the bags so started another thread. Would like to try the mats, when I get bored making the bags. ( which will be as soon as I get them all figured out).
  15. I really dont remember. I searched how to make the plarn ( folding and cutting the bags into 1in strips making a ring then chaining them together). Then a search for free crochet bag patterns for the basic ideas. Im not so good at ffollowing directions so once I got the basic idea I kinda went off on my own. Still trying different size hooks stiches and what not.
  16. My aunt showed me a bag someone had given her crocheted out of plastic shopping bags. The first thing that popped in my head was that would be great for taking to the comfort station, pool, or beach. So I came home and after a couple failed attempts I decided to look it up online. Found instructions on how to make the bags into "plarn" and away I went. The first bag was given to a friend for her birthday before I thought to take pictures of it. So far I have completed 2 more bags, just working on them in the evenings while watching tv. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I keep telling them save
  17. If I had known so many people wanted them I would have taken all of them that they feel the need to send every time we go to the Fort and sold them on ebay! Joking I have plans for them already.
  18. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa We used to stay there every year the first week in December, was always nice and clean indoor hallways 2 pools ( one with a bar and snack ) and a pirate ship slide, restaurant and small store on property, not far from publix and 192 but not in the mess of it either. Next door to a small outlet mall but never seemed busy or crowded. Easy drive to the parks and I believe the also offer a shuttle but we never used that. I believe they have 1,2,3, and 4 bedroom units with pull out sofas in the living rooms, nice size kitchens with ice makers, the first
  19. Nice, our K Mart is lacking in Disney stuff though when I was there today the had more lanterns out then when I purchased mine. I'd like to find a brighter light to go in it but like the convenience of the one that turns on and offaautomatically. Anyone have any ideas?
  20. Hmm wonder if the sears here has them. Bought the last one here that wasn't all beat up.
  21. Congratulations, maybe we'll see you around. Will be there the 5th-12th
  22. Not very bright and the "glass" is just floppy plastic. But that could be a good thing, might be able to change it out for holidays or seasons.
  23. Sorry first time using photobucket to post a picture wasn't sure what thing to use.
