  1. No, but just spoke with Doug and he'll be in the area on Tuesday and he's able to look at it for me :) Is TJ coming to halloween?
  2. What area did you take this from? I missed you staying at the GF. Is it worth the hype? I always feel like the kids must be really quiet when we’re walking through that resort 😄 It’s very pretty.
  3. Do we have any Fiends in the Jacksonville area, who might be willing to put eyes on a camper for me? Long way to drive from Atlanta, if it's no good.
  4. I might (just so they can have some input from an RV owner), but they are not something that they could change when making our rig. A couple of examples are: they've lowered the ceiling so the mid-bunk in the hall, is now very close. Our daughter (who has been sleeping in our mid-bunk for the past two years), crawled up there and said, "yeah... I can't sleep here, it's much too close". Also, they shortened the overall length of the rig by 11" and I think they took most of that from the bathroom... so it's now very tight
  5. Fantastic. Sounds like she's in excellent hands :) Keep us posted!
  6. Fusion is a whole different ballgame. I understand PT not working in the past (that was Tom's argument), but it is something that I would encourage you/her to reconsider. If not a formal PT visit, yoga/stretching at home daily for a good 15-30 minutes (with doctor approval...recovery time after the surgery is needed, obviously ). It's important that she loosens things up/keeps them loose. Walking hurts Tom is it's up hills, not too bad if it's flat or super long. Standing still kills him. Foolish of that surgeon to tell her that she'll be "better than before". I'm hoping he did no
  7. He wasn’t a candidate for the front, either. Lifelong pain. He will always have his back to contend with; some days are better than others, of course. Most days his pain level is at a 3. I do 95% the work around our home (inside and out) because if he does work, that pain level will increase to a 6-8 for several days. If I could say one thing, it would be this: encourage your wife to sign up for PT. Therapy (IF you get a good therapist) is critical. Once PT is over: daily yoga/stretching. Tom has never been flexible, so he would not listen to me. He now understands that had
  8. Good grief...that place is good. Expensive (for what it is, we think), but it is good. I'm addicted to their twist donuts. LOL Glad you guys got some beach time (although you two sound like us: I like it. Him..not-so much. LOL). I have a spot reserved for Thanksgiving at Topsail, but it's up in the air (with Tom's work), if we'll get to use it. Did I know that your wife was having back surgery? I'm sorry to hear that. Tom's had three procedures on his back, the last one was a major fusion in the lower back.
  9. Hi! Thank you! I'm not sure when I'll drive up, I need to talk with Keystone and see when I can have access to our rig. I don't think the repair crew work on the weekends.. but I am really hoping that other teams are around and we would have access, because that would work the best for us. I appreciate the offer to help, but I'll be good. There isn't actually a ton of stuff (I'll probably bring our SUV and use the back of that). Have fun with the rally!!
  10. Haha...very funny story. Good for Saturn. We bought in ‘17, but it’s “technically “ an ‘18; I think we’ll get an ‘20. Thing is, we went to our dealer late this afternoon and took a look at the new model (before that, we just knew of the changes by the floor plan online). Stinky part is, we really don’t like the changes. If this was what they had when we bought two years ago...we would not have purchased it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not ugly (I’m sure tons of people like this model), it’s just not great for us😕
  11. Yes, they did step up. Unfortunately, I actually prefer our floor plan to the newer one (they made some minor changes, but not changes that I would have made). Oh well. Praying that this one give us less troubles.
  12. So... as I've mentioned, many issues with our Keystone. A couple large ones. I was anxious about sending the rig up with a transport company, but I knew that the kids and I would have to drive up there (from Atlanta), to pick it up and the thought of making that drive twice was exhausting. Gave in and the transport company picked it up. The driver was actually really nice (I posted on this under "what did you do to your camper today"). It's been 8 business days with no update... until this morning. Keystone has decided that fixing our rig is not a good idea; so they are sending u
  13. So pretty. Didn't know that, about Big Thunder Mountain. Growing up in the PNW, this all looks so familiar... just much larger. Seems like a very peaceful cruise.
  14. See, there you go, taking away a legitimate excuse on why I should not get on a ship Dang... thought I had a good one to show the family
  15. Just saw this. Yeah... that's where we're at. When we think of what we would pay at Disney and then (with those same funds) what we could possibly do instead, that's what priced us out of the Fort. It's either one week (7 nights) at the Fort or 22-25 nights at state/city parks. Because I like being out as much as possible... the latter is a better fit, for us. If we were a family that only camped a total of one or two weeks per year, I could see going all out and staying at the Fort.
