  1. Oh my goodness, yes! I will tell you... no way I'd want to be a CM at MGM for those first few months
  2. Spring in S Cali, can be beautiful. If we were going out for 10 days, I honestly would only spend 2 at DL, simply because are so many other places to explore! I agree, it would be tight and there are some really beautiful areas near Frisco; it would be sad to miss those. If they cut their DL time back to 2 days, that could open up time. Ha... those days sound familiar I was born down there, but we moved to Washington State when I was almost 8. After that, many "quick" trips back down to visit family. Knotts Berry Farm, goodness.. so many good memories eati
  3. That's how we felt most days last year, while in the parks. There were a few rope drops that were not bad... but you could almost stand there and watch the swarms of people come in. Actually, we did Mickey's Christmas party in November and the crowds were so bad that I complained to Disney and got our money back. It was ridiculous. For those of us who have been blessed with good memories, we are lucky. I feel bad for those families who save and save, to make that once in a lifetime visit and leave feeling sad that most of their trip was nothing but crowds.
  4. Gosh... and we'll be there in May. Why or why can't we have PT residency in FL? Pretty sure we can live in our friend's garage
  5. Dave putting a silver lining on Disney and their thirst for more money... the pigs must be flying Good attitude; I'll do my best to adopt it. No promises, but I'll try
  6. Oh gosh...somehow I missed this! I'm (finally) in! Thanks for posting this TR! LOVE all the pics. You know, we've never once ridden the horse drawn trolley at the MK. I think we're always in a hurry to get on a ride, but one of these days...we have to do that. That chalk artist was amazing!! Love the picture of the castle and the balloon and yes, I'm sure those have to be $20+. Crazy expensive for something that could pop (or be let go) at any moment. Cool pic though
  7. Sigh... I've made mention of this before and I think it's probably right. I'm not sure if they'll take out the Fort entirely, but new and "improved" loops have been mentioned; I wonder if they'll take the property closest to the water (so maybe half of the loops?) and develop that as a resort; then turn the rest of the Fort into ultra expensive sites ($200+ a night). I don't know. All we do know, is that the days of "our Fort" are over. For our family, the memories have been built for (only) the past 7-8 years; for some Fiends, it's been 30-40 years. So many memories. Sad what's hap
  8. I need drugs, for both. Seriously...I'm a wimp If I could take a cruise, where I could always see land (and land was close), I'd be okay. It's the wide open ocean that terrifies me (yes, I know the ships are huge and I can stay towards the center and not look outside...but I think the idea of that makes me even more anxious ).
  9. Your own life jacket and survival gear. I am never getting on a ship. Have fun though!
  10. Where did this rendition (originally) come from??
  11. Right now, all I have is the phone number. I had an email to the first person; this is his manager. I was going to ask for her email address, when I called back to confirm going with a transport from KY. Good suggestion on asking for the direct line to the floor supervisor in the shop. She does seem like a nice person and I am prayerful that she is honest, easy to work with and Keystone will do a great job.
  12. No...I'm not saying that it's the manufacture's fault... although it's an easy fix for them going forward (have the latch come up from the base to the lid so that it has to be manually pulled up to latch). My point in posting, was so that parents/grandparents were aware. As I stated in my OP, I would have never even given it a second thought and our little man hides everywhere.
  13. Yes. I will go pick it up and go over every inch with them. I hope I'm always nice. I can be firm... but hopefully I'm always kind and respectful (even if I have to remind myself of this, several times during some conversations ).
  14. This was shared on FB... never would this mama had considered this threat. It made my heart race just watching it. No matter how attentive of a parent you are, kids will play and have fun (they should play and have fun). This video is a must watch. Secure those coolers or pack them away. So thankful that this baby was alright. https://www.local10.com/news/florida/broward/pompano-beach-boy-winds-up-trapped-in-cooler-during-game-of-hide-and-seek
  15. Thank you.. you're right. It is an object and my stressing over it will not change anything. Probably silly to get so worked up, when you consider what it really is (not a person). It's such a large purchase, and I've seen/heard so many horror stories, that I think that's why my mind goes to the worst possible outcome. Thanks for talking me down. Thank you... appreciate you. I hope so. That's definitely what I'm praying, that we get it back (better than received) and that it's done quicker than expected. Thanks again, Fiends.
  16. Okay... update: So, Keystone does not want to pay for lodging as they have no idea how long the repairs will take. I'm trying to take deep breaths because really...? At first, I was told no on 2 weeks but possibly 3-4 weeks which for families like ours (who actually use their rig), that's a big deal. THEN, I spoke with the manager of that person and I was told 6-8 weeks. What?!! They could build a new one in less time than that! Heck, they build an entirely new one, in less than 3-4 weeks! The gal at Keystone was actually very nice but, that will only go so far. They cannot h
  17. Curious to see how it went in the 2000 loop. While I like the location (and loop size) of 1500, 2000 does have some nice/large site. Riding around the Fort on my bike... honestly my FAVORITE thing to do.
  18. I saw that too... pretty little thing. If it's true, very neat ❤️
  19. We too loved our hybrid except for three things: 1. If it was raining, folding up the ends (like a pop up) was a huge pain in the tush. 2. This mama was uber anxious about a tree limb falling through one of the ends (most people are not as paranoid as I am though 😉😀). 3. I’m a pretty light sleeper and the tent ends of the hybrid just let in too many sounds. For those reasons, I would lean more towards an ultralight camper. One that is small, so it’s not too heavy, but still allowed you to have a complete hard shell.
