  1. There's also one on 192 near the Applebee's and Orlando Ale House. Just check your insurance for coverage of urgent care versus emergency. We used the Centracare on 192 one time when my wife hurt her shoulder and our doctor wasn't open. They were good, but expensive. But I suppose you pay for rapid access without appointment. nice facility and staff.
  2. I saw a map somewhere recently and it looks like you are correct. I forgot about the rumored Walt's and tunnels.
  3. I have the Cooper tires on my 2009 Ram 1500. So far they've been excellent.
  4. The cast member rate can be 25%, 40% or 50% depending on availability. During busy times, it can be difficult to get a discount at all.
  5. For those with annual passes, there is now preferred annual pass seating at the remaining Eat to the Beat concerts. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/specials/?CMP=SOC-FBPAGE20171030170000
  6. I'm trying to think; where is the "abandoned 1930's airline terminal"? It says it will be located next to the Edison, but there is Paradiso 37 on one side of the Edison and the bridge on the other. Unless some of what looked to be the Edison is set aside for the restaurants, I'm not sure where this will be. There is no additional construction in that area except for the Edison, and if they are to open this winter, the structures should be there. I'm assuming the abandoned terminal will not be a reimagined Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar (I hope not).
  7. What show was this? If the 5:30 show, I was seated right in front of you, the back row on non-handicap benches. I stopped on my way home from work. I agree, good show, especially the ending. It was a mob scene that night, and the crowd control was not good at all. There were people standing in the aisles during the show, and one guy who didn't move for about 20 minutes. He finally moved because people told him to, not one cast member came over.
  8. I LOVE Smoky Mountain National Park. We always enjoy going there. That said, Nacole's trip to Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce will be fantastic. We really like going there. A couple of years ago we hit Grand Canyon (for the fourth time), along with Arches and Canyonlands in Moab, along with Mesa Verde in Colorado. In prior years we hit Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. For all of those trips we purchased the annual pass. Works well.
  9. I just saw a post on Facebook that the trees between Fort Wilderness and Four Seasons are all being taken out. The person said you can see the hotel and golf course from the overflow lot. I know there was construction going on in that buffer area but haven't seen it for a few days. Anybody hear anything?
  10. We really enjoyed it. Very interesting and not too long for kids.
  11. Definitely ask. My wife always figures if she asks and the answer is no, at least it shows the interest is there. Usually the answer is yes.
  12. A participant is a business at Disney that is not owned by Disney. The latest dining cast discount sheets (effective October 16, 2017) for Epcot show discounts for Biergarten, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Akershus, Le Cellier and Rose and Crown. The other restaurants not shown are participants; not Disney owned. As a result, for the last few years, Disney does not publicize cast discounts in the cast materials, other than having them advertise the discounts in the Cast ID discount booklets.
  13. Additional rumors indicate that there is an Anaheim Council member who is not fond of Disney and was making it difficult for Disney to obtain the required permits for the events; possibly because of the construction. That's the word on some of the RunDisney sites my daughter reads, but I have no idea how accurate that is.
  14. Of course looking at this optimistically, this may result in a more uniform and better enforced pet policy across all resorts. That would be a benefit.
  15. I don't think that is the case, but rather for some reason Disney no longer includes the participants in their lists of discounts, even though the discounts may be available. They do include them for the Holiday Celebration Package each year though. I guess they want the participants to handle their own publicity.
  16. Question is, will the rules be enforced like the pet rules are enforced at Fort Wilderness (i.e. rarely).
  17. The train tour is excellent. We really enjoyed it. We've done the Wild Africa Trek and liked that one a lot too. The Marceline to Main Street tour is great, and is a shortened version of the Keys to the Kingdom tour. It does not take you down to the tunnels, but you get to go down to the ballroom at Haunted Mansion, and get ride Haunted Mansion, Small World and Carousel of Progress getting a lot of interesting info and history. There is a lot more to it then just that. It lasts about 4 hours. They were all very well done.
  18. The discount may still apply to these countries. France, Japan and Morocco (as well as China) are participants. For some reason the last few years Disney doesn't list them on the lists of cast member dining discounts. The normal dining discount for these countries are listed in the Cast ID discount booklet they have available at Company D. I have no idea why Disney won't list them as discounts available to cast members. It does make it more confusing.
  19. My wife started at Disney 19 years ago. This is the first time I've heard of this discount.
  20. What she really likes is for people to send her pictures that they took with her. She adds them to her scrapbook.
  21. My wife and I were at Disney and someone was sitting with a service dog in training, a legitimate one. My wife started talking with the woman, and they mentioned how an organization for service dogs for the blind is fighting for legitimate certification for service dogs. She said that the phony service dogs are really making it difficult for people who really need them.
  22. I wish they would define the specific areas where the dogs are allowed. The rules mention "public areas" (third item), "public spaces" (item 8), while in item 9 they mention that only service dogs are allowed in "Food and Beverage locations, the Club Lounge, Pool Areas, Fitness Centers and other public Guest areas". I wonder how "other public guest areas" differs from the public areas and public spaces mentioned in the other rules. Will the dogs be allowed to be walked in the lobby of the Yacht Club? A service dog would be one thing, but in other cases, such as my late Golden Lab, dogs may
  23. VERY OBSERVANT! I didn't even notice the Christmas decorations. We arrived at Disneyland in late September. California Adventure at the time really felt cheap. Actually, this restaurant as well as the California Screamin coaster were among the few redeeming qualities. We need to get back there and see it now. Disneyland however was terrific. Thanks again for the Christmas observation! Doug
