So we went to the Meadow Snack Barand got a Southern Smothered Hot Dog to split.We ate at a picnic table behind the Meadow TP. I wandered around taking pictures. There was quite a bit of activity in this area:Tried to get a good photo of this elusive butterfly:Tried again:Took Kassie for a last ride on DeeDee. Found Angie from Charleston (mrsgus06) and chatted with her for awhile. Went back to Dolly to continue preparing for travel and had a wonderful surprise! Lou stopped by to visit!He had told me he wanted to meet Kassie.Kassie: Dad, is it okay for me to talk to this stranger?Kassie: Ooh, he's a nice man!He just wanted to meet Kassie ... what are we -- chopped liver? We walked in during MSEP and I was so happy we got to see part of it. MSEP is my all-time favorite Disney parade! I didn't have my tripod, wasn't in a good spot, shot over people's heads, but, gosh, this is the MSEP and I've gotta capture something: The park was still very crowded. We rode POTC and HM yet again only because they had relatively short lines. Walked back down Main Street, said our goodbyes (my head was leaking), and caught a standing-room-only boat back to the fort. And the fat lady sang.Next up: departure day. We had just had Kassie groomed a few days before we left home and I knew I didn't like her haircut, but I didn't realize how really bad it was until I saw these photos zoomed in on her! CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547 Posted April 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 Wednesday, March 14 – A Sad DayAfter breakfast I walked up to the Settlement to have a last look around.We're all packed up and ready to roll.I call these pics my "Through the Dirty Windshield" series. I really should have cleaned it before we left!And all too soon we saw this:We pulled off Disney property about 10:30 a.m. and were both very sad to be leaving. It was our thirteenth day at Disney, but we both thought the trip wasn't nearly long enough. Between the heavy crowds and David not feeling well several days, we didn't get to do a lot of things on our wish list.We quickly made it to I-95.I hate this road! It's so boring. And so long. And so boring.We stopped at Cracker Barrel in Walterboro, SC, for dinner and to spend the night. We had a very pleasant front yard:I asked David couldn't we please camp there for 2-3 days? I'm sure the manager would agree if we would eat all our meals there. But I couldn't talk him into staying.Thursday, March 15 – It's OverLeft Walterboro at 5 am and were home before noon. Unpacked the essentials, gave Dolly a much-needed bath, and parked her in her port. We both agreed that if we could afford it we would turn right around and drive back to the fort.
