  1. Same here, considering a Tropical Storm was formed out of that mess. We had tornados touch down just south of us on the East Coast. Cody
  2. Well at lease these guests have a nice view for their Halloween and Christmas holidays. Cody
  3. I agree with you, but not that there is more sites available, I wouldn't turn my nose up to this loop. A site at the Fort is generally better than a site elsewhere. Cody
  4. This is true, and I've actually had the same thing at Bay Lake Tower pool as well. Cody
  5. Local news, WFTV, reported a story that a firework from the Star Wars show went rogue. I haven't been able to watch the video as my wifi out here is spotty. Video: Misfire during Disney's Star Wars fireworks show causes rogue explosion on roadway http://www.wftv.com/news/local/video-misfire-during-disneys-star-wars-fireworks-show-causes-rogue-explosion-on-roadway/437330280
  6. Plenty of time to implement the changes prior to AP holders getting to enjoy the new attractions under the old system with the old prices and restrictions...or lack thereof Cody
  7. I saw a picture floating around earlier tonight of a can of OFF! brand spray next to that information card. I assume there is some kind of business/sponsorship deal going on, unless this was an over night decision and they went to the local Costco/BJs/SAMs and bought the inventory. We'll be there September 22nd, so I'll see if we get one. Cody
  8. Disney is now giving out Cutter mosquito spray to hotel guests at check in as part of their mosquito prevention program. They also have stations set up at Disney Springs and the parks for guests to give themselves a spray. I wonder if we will get the same treatment upon check in at The Fort? 9. I agree 100%, my guess is this was just the cheapest and fastest way to remove that liability. What does it cost to have some truckloads of dirt and a crew to fill it versus a complete demolition where I assume you would still have to truck some fill into the site once everything was removed? This is a forgotten corner of property to the general public, so a quick and easy job was probably their goal. Get it done and move on. Cody
  10. Apparently the Disney quote in the Sentinel was correct that there were no immediate plans for further demolition. Cody
  11. Confirmation photo via the ForgottenDisneyWorld Instagram account. Cody
  12. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/tourism/os-disney-world-river-country-20160825-story.html From today's Orlando Sentinel. "Disney said it has no immediate plans to tear down any other remaining parts of the park, some of which can be seen from Bay Lake. Disney said the work had been planned for a while now." Cody
  13. Your best bet is to call Disney and get a TW (traveling with) number and link your reservation to their's. That will be the best and easiest way to ensure you guys will be together. They may even sprinkle some pixie dust and upgrade you guys to a Full Hook Up site for free to place you near your family..
  14. What TCD said. We were in 327 with a 26' TT in July 2015 and it was super tight. Your rig is considerably larger than mine. We actually stayed there before the new yellow lines were painted to "widen" the road and we were still cramped for space. If you can, I recommend upgrading to a premium site and requesting the 600 loop. The 600 loop is really the only loop that would allow good satellite exposure.
  15. So I guess I should take my pillow cases and Howdy Doody mask back to Walmart and find another plan for Halloween?
  16. I agree with the majority, I do feel my belongs are safe at The Fort, however I will lock up. If someone really wants something, they will get it from you whether it's locked or not, so I'm mainly just keeping the honest people honest and preventing the opportunistic thieves from running off with something of ours.
  17. I will be at the show this weekend, as long as I make it home from work on time
  18. This seems to be the most logical explanation. And I like it. I wonder if I could start a one cart rental service and "advertise" it at The Fort, then write it off. Cody
  19. I would venture a guess to say that was someone just wandering by. Those guys are pretty efficient at cleaning the sites fro, the previous occupant, including the surrounding "wooded" area around the site. Cody
