  1. I got it, thanks Mo! It is really cute...and something my DD will enjoy doing with her little cousin. And an extra somthin' for the two day drive to the fort!

  3. ...and I would guess some of it depends on the attitude of the person in any given job. In my early days at this job, I use to sit at a desk that received alot of foot traffic unrelated to my work. More often than not, it was some poor student or guest of the university that was lost and had been previously miss directed by some employee that didn't know what they were talking about and were too lazy to look up the information. I really enjoyed the relief and appreciation from people - and all it took was a quick phone call, internet search, or simply handing them a map. Was I directly affe
  4. I am one of the advisors to the student organization that puts on the marathon. Our marathon is coordinated in conjunction with an undergraduate leadership program that I run with my boss. Basically, the "kids" that are in leadership positions in the organization are also in the Leadership Challenge program. We are still VERY new in the Dance Marathon world, but they did manage to raise $50,000 last year - not to shabby. UTSA has largely been a commuter school until recently, so the campus culture, etc with traditional college students needs work...which is why we started the marathon in the
  5. This thread is an interesting read. Husband and I have talked about whether or not we'd enjoy moving out to WDW after our daughter finished high school (shes' 10, so we have some time!) I don't think I have any notions that it would be pixie dust for ME all the time, but I sure do think it would be fun to create the magic for others. Hubs and I both work at a local state university now (he as a professor and me as a program administrator), but we really are in the service industry - - we just happen to be serving a student population. My "kids" run a big dance marathon on campus to raise mo
  6. Has anyone ever seen this fellow live? Looks like he plays Wed-Sat at Port Orlean's Riverside. I have it on our "to do" list, but was curious if any of you guys had seen it. http://www.yehaabob.com/
  7. YES....johnny depp. I'm so excited about this movie....seems very "once upon a time-ish"....another thing I love.
  8. Moving is obviously out of the question. Especially when my astronaut museum/astronomy (**NERD**) room is done! Although tragically, this is all very easy to paint over. :)
  9. Goofy making an Illegal volleyball move (sorry Jen!)
  10. Finally gotten a chance to do some more on my project! Minnie Mouse posing as Tinkerbell.
  11. For my $.02 (no real cash value)...I think if you are placing your tent in a way that is not encroaching on other sites, you are all good...sans Lou's buddy Barney Fife stopping buy. There is plenty of evidence around that suggests Tents are a-ok on premium sites.
  12. My folks grew up in New Orleans. They only eat Praw-leens. I'm certain they would disown me were I to "mis-pronounce it."
  13. That picture right there is what I call a CYA (cover yo' arse). Print it out in wallet size and whip it out for any over zealous ranger dude. C:-) C:-) C:-)
  14. Mmmmm chestnut....mmmm praline.....and starbucks is just one building over...but damn, those things don't come out until November, right? Until then we will be tortured by pumpkin. And the million dollar question is: do you say Praw-leen or pray-leen?
  15. So I haven't been to BOG...what's all the crazy about? The food? The atmosphere? Dinner? Lunch? Just curious...as a crowd follower - - - we are always looking for something new to try.
  16. I was almost eaten by an armadillo last time we were there. Or at least an armadillo walked in front of me. That's the same.
  17. Hey Mo - thanks for the photos...Quick question....love the idea of the rug over the gravel pit...cuz that crap drives me crazy. Are those just regular outdoor rugs? Do they roll up pretty small?
