  1. Ft myers is my neck of the woods... Currently the ft is running $70/night If Orlando is really on your way do it, but if it's not you can find something 1/2 price off of 75 near Ocala or Gainesville
  2. Mine are currently 2 and 4 so the 4 will be 5 next year and its kindergarten, I extended the trip but have not informed the wife.... Rather than ask permission I'll beg for forgiveness
  3. Book your reservation for after noon, go at line drop and enjoy Disney like you did in the past, then when its hot and busy use the 3 reservations and relax
  4. Child care costs is the main reason I moved from NH to Florida. 350/kid per week, second kid was on the way when we made the move My income went up as I don't work in Massachusetts so I get 5.25% more than I did working there, my fuel bill went from $100/week to $100/quarter, no longer commuting 35 miles 1 way to work with a 4x4. I walk 65 feet now My house grew by 1,000 sq ft(1400 to 2400feet) and a pool yet the mortgage dropped by $1,000/month With all that being said, Disney is a priority to me, I grew up going there, and well my kids will to! I can always make more money, but I can't alw
  5. Keith the site says 7,000 for the v6 and the reports I saw on the i4 turbo diesel was 7700
  6. I am comfortable with my midsize suv,so I like the feel of the midsize truck, I have not driven it yet as it's not out with the diesel. I don't really need a full size. Parking is easier, slightly better gas mileage is the other plus. I prefer new because I don't like to inherit other people's problems. I know stingray Chevy has decent deals, I just like the gmc look better for the midsize. I do not need a truck for anything other than camping, we have 2014 odyssey for virtually every other trip (got it last April and it has 8700 miles on it) so we don't drive much like we did in New England
  7. people are making more money than they ever have, what would be interesting to see is what percentage of income was spent then vs now, id be willing to bet that didn't change much. remember cars in the 60's ( 20+ years before i was born) were under $5,000 for a mustang... today your lucky to get it for $25,000 but when you look at what people spend in relation to income, there has not been a large change
  8. I am there 10/28- 10/31 wife wont let me keep the kids out of school on Tuesday so were heading home on Halloween
  9. I currently own a 2007 Nissan Xterra, is got the v6 and 4wd it can tow 5000 lbs, and I have done minimal work to it over the years. I put Airbags( Firestone ride rite) on the rear, did the belts/ plugs, new battery last year at 100,000 miles, and 2-3 years ago I did new tires at 85,000 miles currently I work from home, and I drive the x maybe 30 miles a week I just cheeked and i have driven 7300 miles in 2 years since i moved and work from home It has been paid off for almost 4 years now :) up until this year I did not need to tow anything, but i got the camper 2 months ago and the X tows it
  10. I am no bean counter by any means, however I am a stock holder per the 2014 numbers below Disney saw 132.5 million guest use the parks and stay at resorts, including the cruise ship and various properties not attached to a theme park those guests generated $13.5 billion in revenue, total across all items including tv, interactive, merchandising, movies was was $45 billion and a profit of 2.2 Billion, total profit across all lines was 10.7 billion now I may be off on my math, that being said guest revenue averaged at $1018.86 per person for a profit of only $16.60?!? per person $16.60 x 132,5
  11. Congrats on the pup, I too just got mine 2 months ago, is a 2016 Rockwood 2516G, similar layout to yours, but i have a bath. the work that i have done on mine so far, shows there are some quality issues, but they were all easy fixes, and i would expect every other brand to have the same/ similar issues. I did buy from lazydays, they had the best price and were willing to actually do a deal, unlike camping world and the private sellers i came across. I have had it serviced at camping world for the issues that came up after the sale, I live 2 hours from lazydays and 20 min from CW. As with any
  12. ohh I never thought of a rack.... darn you! off to the wood shop at the neighbors house....
  13. yea I use FB every few hours, its easy to take a pic and put it in a hidden album on FB. then i can link pic's from that album to here as needed. no one on FB can see the photos, as far as i know, as they are only view able by me due to the privacy settings on that album, However if you get to the pic, you can copy the URL and paste it here and you all can see Its a win win for me, I dont need another photo service
  14. That screw up took just over an hour out of my day... Could have been worse
  15. And I'll get to see that new truck, maybe even show you some tricks for it
  16. I am 32, and have access to an ase master mechanic( dad certified for 35 years) and $125,000+ in tools When you have those on your side everything goes fast and smooth
  17. that's odd, anyone else having that issue? I use FB as my photo storage so if your on a work computer that may block FB then you wont see the photos the part was from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L9PUAGY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 XYZ marine supplies
  18. Congrats! I now have Truck envy.... ill be making that purchase in 2 years when the van is paid off
  19. so I have owned my trailer 2 months now, its been at the dealer for 90% of the time, making repairs and waiting on parts and such I got it back today! i planned on installing the lift kit, my LED porch light, the new fan controls, and a voltmeter/ usb charging station well I got the trailer all jacked up, took the tires off, dropped the axle and found out Forest River sent me the Alco spacer kit, not the dexter kit. The Alco is about 2 inches short, and the holes for the mounting are 1 inch too narrow..... called FR and vented, new kit is on the way hopefully it will be here next week so p
  20. 3000? there has gotta be a joke there.... i never heard of that loop
  21. I dont love starbucks coffee... however their Frap or what ever it is... are good they have a smores one.... mm mmm good rather than to to starbucks daily, I make my coffee at home using the following method. First I spell my name wrong, then I fill the coffee grinder with beans and turn it on while trying to have a conversation with my wife about the plans for the day, then i brew the coffee, light a $5 bill on fire, scream out my name and then drink
  22. so the total living area is just north of 15,000 sq ft, if they are putting it on a .5 acre lot as suggested that leaves 6700 sq feet of turf and driveway... where i live in South Florida I have a quarter acre lot with home occupying 4000 sq ft of the 11,000 sq ft lot, putting the difference in the same ball park as these mega homes. Personally I wish i had more land, I have what they call a double lot, and a triple lot would be ideal( the rear neighbor has it) my lot is 90x110, I have 10 ft from my house to the property lines on the sides, its set back 45 feet from the street, and the rear
  23. Starbucks spigot? now that's an Idea! Turn down service is questionable... Id be more into someone doing the dishes than anything else.... I am a Millennial, however I tend to think I don't fit the stereotype painted here... I do like Starbucks.... I am a life long camper, just enjoying my first Pop up, hope to meet some of you at the fort!
  24. Thats great to hear they had that good of a C/S team Prana is a private label of City Mattress, they are made in Bonita Springs FL, they use all foam/ latex foam and are very heavy, pricetag included. I got a factory second for about 1700, still has a full warranty and all just was not 100% perfect as for whats not perfect I haven't found the issue, and we have had it for 8 + months now good to know that Casper should not be overlooked next time!
