  1. If you are lookibg for a trailer what will you tow with? This will give us help on what to recommened or would you prefer a motorhome, you have so many choices to look at it could mind boggling.
  2. It was Delaware...'nough said! I thought it was because you were at a Nascar event. I live close to Dover and will not go to the race gets a little to crazy in some of the lots there.
  3. On one of my trips there I thought I saw a bar code sticker on a mug that had to be scanned before you could dispense a beverage. I do not remember where or what resort we stayed at when I saw that, it might have even been at a park, sorry getting old and the mind slips sometime :rofl2:
  4. We stayed in this campground a few years ago on a stopover to Darien Lake plan to go again to see more of the area very nice place and nice folks there.
  5. That's the one from Stripes right? Boom shack a lacka
  6. [ I'd expected to buy from Leo's. We visited their lot a few times last summer and thought they were great, I'd talked to them about the TH we wanted last week and went back today armed to finally hand over that check. Talked to an older, experienced looking salesman who was sitting at the table with a factory rep and told them we'd brought our checkbook to make a deal today. During the week, they'd sold the one on the lot but offered to order us one at the sale price. We were looking good until I gave him the figures I'd gotten from both the all-cash internet dealer and the dealer in PA who'
  7. Always listen to grandfather you'll never know when you'll need his wisdom.
  8. Thank goodness for the power of duct tape, even tho now I carry Gorilla tape this stuff is great.
  9. For your info the show @ Hershey is not until the 3rd weekend in Sept. I do not know of a show in Harrisburg but the Farm show complex has had so many events as of late I lost track of what is there.
  10. What dealer are you working with we tried to but a unit from Leo's Vacationworld, never made it but not for trying very hard they were pretty good to work with just had a son starting college and was nervous with getting school loans and all. We did and up buying @ the Hershey show that Sept. after things were done for school.
  11. If anyone is interested threr is a show this weekend @ the fairgrounds in Timonium Md. it is a indoor show and the last time we were there the deals did seem pretty good. It is a show that only has dealers from Md. but I do think they have a lot of factory reps at this show so that might have better deals.
  12. There are alot of people who restore the old GMC motor homes, I think they were ahead of their times. Some folks have done a great job on them, I read about them having a ralley somewhere can you just imagine a large group of them at one place it be a site to see.
  13. The bedrroms are set up with 1 queen size bed in 2 of the rooms, the 3rd bedroom has a set of bunkbeds then in the livingroom the sofa is a queen size sleeper and a chair becomes a bed. I heard that the chair is best for smaller kids. Also they have 2 bathrooms. We were glad to see them make a comeback even tho I think some are newere ones.
  14. As stated they are now a DVC they have 3 bedrooms but they rent as a 2 bedroom rate we have not used them yet but want to try them in the future they look neat.
  15. on our new unit we got a electric awnig so now we roll it up when we leave, the older one we would leave out but i would have deflappers on it plus I would have it tied down and we would also lower one side to drain, my friends use to kid me and say the camper would blow over before the awnig would. On a side note I do not think the new electric awnings are as strong when they are out so that is one reasons I close it when we are gone(IMO).
  16. Rats you beat me to it I saw that today and wnted to post it here GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!
  17. You do not always have to buy the unit from the show most dealers will let you order onet . We bought our Ceard Creek @ the Hershey show over a year ago, we worked the best deal with the dealer @ the show, took that paper work and found our local dealer who also sold Cedar Creek and he matched the deal plus threw in a couple of options for us. You do have to know your prices and not get overwhelmed by the wow factor and the hype of the show, know how much you want to spend( research) and be ready to say no I'm sorry that's still to much and walk away. Rememger they have to sell to make a livin
  18. I think that the Outback is a nice made unit thay seem to be popular as I have seen alot in our travels, the only thing I did not care for was the white interior but that's just me.
  19. We never stop camping we are lucky and found a campground in Pa. that lets us park our unit on site for a $ a day then come and go when ever we want. The place has great bath houses and a indoor pavillion with a fireplace so we are there @ least 1 weekend a month if not more. We are there this weekend 70 degrees on Fri. but now cold and windy, but heck we are camping. :))
  20. Great trip report and love the pictures, always like to see pictures of little kids enjoying Disney they seem so happy. Keep up the good work.
  21. I agree that it would be nice to have a DVC campground, we have tried to get a site on points but have never got lucky. On the exchange I thought they waved the $95 fee for sites but not for cabins, we might have to add points if they build a new resort with campsites.
  22. We have never rented a cart always say we will but we don't, belive it or not we love walking even with all the walking you do @ the parks we always walk. Maybe next time we will take the bikes.
  23. We used this stop a few years ago and I did not think it was that bad but then I like trains, I do not remeber them being that bad but I might have been very tired. The one thing I liked was mgt stayed there till we gat there to make sure no one used our site as we had reservations.
  24. WE stayed here on our way home last trip and it was great, far enough from the highway so no noise and not to far when you get off to get there, it is a great stop to use.
  25. We went the week between Christmas and New Yearyss a couple of years ago and both my boys thought it was a great week, we even spent NY Eve in the MK from 9am till almost 1 am and never left, it was GREAT. The worse thing was leaving the park I do think they could do a better job of this as everyone seem to be trying to cross paths all the time to get to either the monorail or the boats, it did seem to take forever.
