  1. Why hasn't the local media reported this? They love to report dumb things that happen at WDW. Where did that video appear? Why did the driver take that route? Why didn't he go around the other way by the GF where there isn't a water bridge? What happened after the video ended? Did the driver backup to an area where he could turn around and go the other way. Or did they unload the safari truck, move the flatbed past the water bridge, and then put the safari truck back on the flatbed?
  2. From "The HUB" on the DTD valet parking page. "Guests with a Tables in Wonderland membership receive complimentary valet parking with a valid dining receipt with the exception of certain blockout dates. Complimentary valet parking is not available for the following blockout dates which include major holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, and New Year’s Day) and special events, such as Car Masters Weekend (and any other special events held at Downtown Disney)."
  3. A little off topic, but during the decades that I've been going to MK, I believe that I've been at only 2(possibly 3) rope drops, and 3 of the 4 people posting on this thread were with me. Isn't that a little spooky?
  4. Living within 12 minutes of WDW and going there for 16 years, even I've learned what the better deals are in the area.
  5. Just for kicks, compare prices at The Official Ticket Center and Kissimmee Guest Services. I use both places because when we have company, most times they don't know what parks they want to do and haven't bought tickets yet. As both places are just 10 minutes from Disney, we pick up the tickets on the way. In terms of discounts KGS is best with OTC second best. KSG also has a price guarantee that if you run across a lower price, they will refund the difference even if you've used the tickets.
  6. When prices from one month to the next do change, you'll certainly hear about. Do the authorized ticket resellers like UT, offer the discounted APs for DVC members, or the FL resident APs, like the Epcot after 4 pass, the weekday select pass, and the seasonal pass?
  7. Guest satisfaction is on a roll. There you have it, in TCD's own words. He just can't say enough nice things about MyMagic+.
  8. According to what George Kalogridis, the WDW prez, said on the video yesterday, things are just fine with MyMagic+. And now that all of the bugs have been worked out, ok, he didn't really say that, they can add CMs to it,..... kinda. And of course as a dedicated and loyal CM, I believe every word he says.
  9. FYI for whenever you need to fill up with Diesel fuel before leaving the WDW area. I know, as I've driven a MH through there many times, that the Murphy station at the Wal-Mart on 535 is RV friendly. And the prices are as low as you'll find close to WDW. Right now the diesel there is $3.41. The Hess stations on property are $3.56, and the Hess just next door to that Murphy is $3.46
  10. Not that it makes any difference to me, the video that appeared on "The HUB" yesterday afternoon giving the details said that the app would be available to CMs soon. I have to believe that CMs will get the same amount of FPs as guests. Maybe I'll finally get to do TSM.
  11. When you're right, you're right. And it's always horny too. I'm just stating the obvious.
  12. This is my work BAH. Does it qualify? Ok Dave, I'm showing mine, BAH that is, show us yours
  13. Not the best of photos. A friend that was with me at the time lent me their older model smart phone. It was taken this morning just outside the monorail and train maintenance facility. It's hard to tell, but if you look closely at the main tank in front of the cab, you'll see four areas where the surrounding paint has been sanded down to bare metal. Looks like a new paint job can't be too far behind.
  14. There is a Race Track just before the Hess, a Murphy station at the Walmart, and a Wawa after it. They usually, not always, are the same price.
  15. The one on 535 near the Walmart is ALWAYS 3 to 5 cents cheaper because that's the one I compare the on property prices to every time I drive by, which is a lot. This morning, 90 minutes ago, I actually got gas at my Hess for $3.09. Ten minutes before that, I drove by the Hess on World Dr. and it was $3.15. This is always the case for the last 6 years. I just checked Gas Buddy and it shows the same prices that I saw. As you get further out, prices do get higher
