If Golden Corral came up with a way to reopen then why not Trail's End?

I don't think it has anything to do with "HOW" to reopen it's all because of the diminished customer base.  Disney still has many on property restaurants closed. Just like at the airports and malls, many restaurants/food courts are not open since there is not the necessary business to operate without a loss..

" Disney World, located in muggy Florida, a state not particularly known for furry brown bears."

I have seen black bears in the neighborhood, now they are not brown, but they are bears.

And Black Bears aren't always Black nor Grisslies always Brown.......

Black bears can be black, blue-black, dark brown, brown, cinnamon and even white. Grizzlies, likewise, may range in color, from black to blond.

  3. Update..From YAHOO

    DL chaos continues.

We absolutely reject the suggestion that reopening the Disneyland Resort is incompatible with a ‘health-first’ approach,” Disney Parks Chief Medical Officer Pamela Hymel said in a statement. “The fact is, that since March we have taken a robust science-based approach to responsibly reopening our parks and resorts across the globe.”

Article in Orlando Sentinel this morning says 8,857 more cast let go.  They are part-time union cast members.  So that is over 15,000 employees from Disney World.  Now I guess the full time cast will get their cuts.  Disney will expect those workers who are still there to cover all the work the laid off/fired cast won't be there to do.  But at the same pay.

They are part of the original 28,000 that DIS said would be laid off corporate wide. Since Newsom has now guaranteed an extended shut-down in Calif along with the Cruise Lines being dry docked by the CDC it will probably get worse.

At Disney Springs you should have no issues at Maria and Enzo's or a place like STK Steakhouse or the Boathouse.  Depends on the type of food you're looking for.  In the hotels it may be a bigger issue, especially during dinner hours since many of the hotel restaurants are still closed and those that are open are filling up each day.

    Probably House of Blues too.

  6. Chef Mickey’s Family Feast — Character Dining

Character Dining and an enhanced all-you-care-to-eat family-style menu will begin on December 16 at Chef Mickey’s.

Enjoy breakfast breads, traditional breakfast entrées such as Mickey waffles, and selections from Chef Mickey’s Signature entrees—including banana bread French toast, loaded potato-cheese casserole and the “Celebration” Mickey pancake. Each table will receive a special autographed card keepsake from Mickey and his friends.

Throughout the dining experience, Mickey Mouse and some favorite pals will make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms. See them move throughout the restaurant, waving hello as rollicking music fills the air.

Additionally, some new items that were inspired by their favorite dishes are coming to the menu as well including Mickey’s “Celebration” Pancake, which includes whipped cream, celebration sprinkles, shimmering pixie dust, and more.
